Crouch can't come, that's really good news, Kael thought to himself.
Just then, Dumbledore and Bagman also came out from the side door.
"Oh, Kael, why haven't you gone to rest yet?" he said with a smile, "As I said earlier, the Triwizard Tournament is no joke. I suggest you think it over carefully and come back in the morning."
"Well, Albus, I'll be leaving then..." Bagman said with a frown, "Working overnight, not sure if there's extra pay."
"Goodbye Ludo, thank you for your hard work," said Dumbledore.
After Bagman left, Kael was about to head back to the dormitory, but after a few steps, he suddenly stopped, turned and said to Dumbledore.
"Professor, I think it would be best if you have the professors keep a closer watch on the Goblet of Fire."
"Oh?" Dumbledore looked at him questioningly.
"Well... it's like this," Kael said, "You know, someone wanted to kill Harry at the Quidditch World Cup."
Dumbledore's expression gradually became serious, "What are you trying to say?"
"It's just that... the person who cast the Dark Mark hasn't been caught yet, right? And you also said that the champions participating in the Triwizard Tournament are in constant danger."
Kael didn't say it directly, but Dumbledore clearly understood.
"I'll consider your suggestion," he said, looking at Kael, "But I think the possibility is not high."
"I was just saying it casually, Professor. Perhaps I'm overthinking it," Kael shrugged.
He still thought it best to remind Dumbledore before confirming whether Barty Crouch Jr. had snuck into Hogwarts.
In the distance, Filch's footsteps could be heard. Kael touched the Marauder's Map in his pocket, bid goodbye to the headmaster, and returned to the Hufflepuff common room.
The next day was Saturday, when everyone usually went to breakfast quite late, but today was an exception.
Early in the morning, Kael was awakened by his two roommates.
"Wake up, Kael, everyone's going to the Great Hall, how can you still be asleep!" Mikel opened the window, letting the cold wind blow in.
Kael sat up in bed, "No need to rush, the champions won't be announced until tonight."
But Mikel and Ryan wouldn't listen, insisting that the earlier their names were submitted, the better the chances of being selected.
With no other choice, Kael got up and put on his thick robe.
When they arrived at the Great Hall, they saw dozens of people gathered around, all scrutinizing the Goblet of Fire placed in the center of the hall.
A thin golden line was drawn around the floor surrounding the Goblet of Fire, with a radius of about ten feet.
Conna stood at the door, alongside Fleur, Ms. Maxime, and Professor Sprout.
"This isn't usually allowed,"
Kael heard Ms. Maxime say in a deep voice. "But Fleur... well, if everyone's okay with it, then I fully agree."
After the two professors left, Kael walked over curiously and asked, "What were you guys talking about just now?"
"Nothing," Conna laughed. "Fleur said she wants to stay until the end of the school year, can't sleep in the carriage all the time, right? I thought I'd see if she could temporarily stay in our dormitory.
We discussed it last night, and everyone agreed."
"So, Fleur can move into the Hufflepuff dormitory today?" Kael asked.
"And Gabrielle too," Fleur explained. "But not permanently. As the competition approaches, we'll have to return to the carriage, that's Ms. Maxime's condition."
Kael nodded, it seemed the headmaster had already assumed Fleur would become Beauxbatons' champion.
"What about the other Beauxbatons students?" Kael asked, "If you live here, won't they mind since you all came together?"
"If they want to, they can too," Fleur said indifferently.
Seeing her expression, Kael didn't say anything more.
Just then, Fred and George also came down from upstairs. Upon noticing Fleur, their hurried steps suddenly slowed and they walked over in a deliberately casual manner.
"Good morning, my dear friends," Fred said in an odd tone.
"It's great to see you here..." George said earnestly, sounding as if he were discussing work like Percy.
"Can't you guys act normal?" Kael said with some disdain.
"We are acting normal," Fred said, pinning a homemade prefect badge on his chest, but it read "Big-Head Boy."
"They are Fred Weasley and George Weasley," Kael introduced.
"Weasley?" Fleur blinked at the identical twins.
"Yeah, they're some of the younger kids in the Weasley family," Kael said.
He noticed that Fleur seemed unsure whether to greet them or not.
"Oh, you don't need to distinguish between them, just call their names... they'll correct you themselves."
"Hey, that's too much!" Fred frowned discontentedly.
"Right, people always say I look more handsome."
"Nonsense, they said it was me..."
Soon they started bickering, escalating to grabbing each other's necks, ready to fight at any moment.
"Sorry, we'll be back," Kael said to Conna and Fleur before dragging Fred and George out of the Great Hall.
Strangely, once out of Fleur's sight, the two immediately calmed down.
"Wait!" Fred released George's neck and shook his head, "Kael, that girl is suspicious!"
"We normally don't act like this," George frowned, "But just now, I couldn't help showing off, it felt familiar, like..."
"The Quidditch World Cup," Fred said, "Bulgaria's mascot... those Veela!"
"She's a Veela!" George's voice was hoarse.
Kael shook his head, "Nonsense, Veela can't use wands, that's the same in every country."
"Then she must have Veela blood," George said firmly.
This time Kael didn't say anything, just waved his hand, "Don't make such a fuss, or people will think us Hogwarts folks have never seen the world."
"Amazing," Fred said, stunned, quickly forgetful of his earlier embarrassment.
George couldn't resist sneaking a peek at the door before quickly recovering, "There's no one like her at Hogwarts, right? I bet she'll become a champion."
