Chapter 505 - Chapter 483: Strongest Mecha

The armorer listened to him and couldn't help but laugh aloud.

"So, Mr. Revolver is here specifically to make a name for himself."

He seemed to not believe someone would take such a naive risk simply because they "couldn't stand it," to stand up for a group of unfamiliar souls. He preferred to think this was a newcomer in the field, looking to quickly make their mark.

A rookie who might be somewhat talented, but overly inflated.

"Nice idea, but you've found the wrong place, kid." The armorer squinted, "This is not where you seek fame and fortune. Wrong place, wrong opponent. You might be making the most severe and final mistake of your life."

Yugen didn't mind, just smiled: "Then please, enlighten me, sir."

"Alright, interesting."

The armorer waved his hand, signaling the subordinates behind him to step back a few paces, forming a circle with the field centered.

"Then come on, young man."

The armorer expanded his Duel Disc, taking out his card deck from the inside of his suit and inserting it into the Deck Slot.

"Here you will witness... the cruelty of the world's dark side."

"I'll look forward to it." Yugen responded.

"Duel!" x2

[Yugen, LP 4000]

[Armorer, LP 4000]

"Normal Summon 'Mecha Team - Snipers' in attack position!"

The steel warrior followed the card's summoning and landed on the field, a long sniper rifle on its shoulder, its body parts producing a crisp metal friction sound upon landing.

[Mecha Team - Snipers, Attack Power 1800]

"Mecha, huh." Yugen displayed a curious expression, "That's quite a coincidence."

Mecha isn't considered a particularly rare series in the current era, and the theme of mechanical technology has quite a loyal following among Duelists nowadays.

Given that this person has the title of armorer, it can be inferred that he uses a mechanical-themed set. Within the Mechanical Race, Mecha is indeed a popular series, frequently appearing as an attachment among other mechanical users.

The physical card version of "Mecha Team - Snipers" has a field effect that prevents both parties from attacking "Mecha Team" monsters other than "Mecha Team - Snipers," though the comic features a blank slate with no effects.

The armorer casually drew another card from his hand.

"I place one card face-down on the field and end my turn."

Confidence exuded in every movement.

"Then it's my turn, draw card."

Yugen glanced at the mechas on his opponent's field and smiled meaningfully.

"Then, I'll play this card... From my hand, 'Mecha Team - Fortress,' can be Special Summoned by sending a total of Level 8 Mechanical Race monsters from my hand to the graveyard, summoning itself from the hand or graveyard!"

He briefly displayed a card from his hand and swiftly slipped it into the graveyard.

"Send the Level 8 'Mecha Team - Cannon' from my hand to the graveyard, Special Summon Mecha Fortress!"

"What!?" The armorer was startled.

The same type of card deck as mine?

The Cannon was sent to the graveyard, seeming like a moving steel giant city descending. Like tank treads rolling, each section shimmering with the cold metal sheen, roaring like a war beast. Unknown alloy formed an indestructible shell, the long electromagnetic cannon barrel with electric snakes dancing within, emitting a buzzing hum.

[Mecha Team - Fortress, Attack Power 2500]

"Mecha Fortress attacks 'Mecha Team - Snipers'!"

Like a sleeping Steel Giant Dragon awakening, the electromagnetic cannon released a massive blue beam. The air was pierced, the steel body of the mechanical warrior was easily penetrated by the blue Light Cannon as if made of paper. A sharp metal tearing sound, the Snipers seemed like they were being torn from within, metal and circuitry rapidly exploding under the beam's burn, exploding into a massive fireball, smoke billowing.

[Armorer, LP 4000→LP 3300]

The armorer's face remained unchanged, just said: "Well, that's unexpected. Mr. Revolver, turns out you're a Duelist of the same type as me. A mecha user, huh?"

"Indeed, but my mecha might be a bit different than yours."

Yugen chuckled softly.

"The battle phase has ended. I'll place another card face-down on the field, ending my turn."

A little bit different, huh?

The armorer smirked contemptuously.

The Dueling Realm is vast, while he might say other card decks are fine, even with his extensive experience in the Dark Web, the armorer wouldn't claim he's seen every type of card deck.

But the mecha, this deck he's indulged in for years, familiar like an extension of his limbs, he believes he's studied thoroughly. Every tactic, every usage is completely clear to him.

Using the same mecha deck, could you possibly perform a miracle?

The armorer, already confident, became less vigilant upon seeing his opponent use a deck he's familiar with.

"My turn, draw card."

The armorer glanced at the card drawn, lightly smiling.

"I don't know what's special about your mecha, but I'll show you mine first... the strongest force of the Mecha Team!"

He swung and slammed the card he just drew.

"Normal Summon 'War Monitor Covington'!"

A red mecha warrior appeared on his field, standing straight and upright, even saluting like a mechanical soldier.

[War Monitor Covington, Attack Power 1000]

"Then activate the Magic Card 'Bonds of Compatriots'!" The armorer shouted, "Pay 1000 Life Points, select one Four-Star or lower monster on your field, and Special Summon two monsters of the same race and star level from the deck. But those monsters cannot be used for attacks or tributes!" (Original effect)

[Armorer, LP 3300→LP 2300]

A card used by Muto Yuugi and Professor Card who employed the mecha cards. It's been physically carded, but the physical card and original were greatly modified.

The physical card version of Bonds of Compatriots requires paying 2000 Life Points to activate, although it's somewhat restored within the competitive physical card environment of 8000 Life Points. The restrictions and self-regulation conditions have been greatly altered.

The physical card version further restricts that the summoned monsters must be of the same attribute and cannot be same-name cards, whereas the original didn't have this restriction.

Additionally, after activating the physical card, there's a self-regulation "no additional Special Summons until the turn ends," which the original doesn't have. While the original has the restriction "summoned monsters cannot attack or be used for tributes," the physical card lacks this restriction.

"I choose 'War Monitor Covington.' Thus, I summon two Four-Star Mechanical Race monsters from my deck..."

The armorer retrieved two cards from the deck.

"Mecha Team - Soldiers, Mecha Team - Defense Soldiers, Special Summon both monsters!"

[Mecha Team - Defense Soldiers, Attack Power 1200]

[Mecha Team - Soldiers, Attack Power 1600]

"Then activate the face-down card, Continuous Trap 'Call of the Living Dead,' revive monsters from your graveyard in attack position!"

A beam of golden light released from the armorer's graveyard.

"Special Summon the defeated 'Mecha Team - Snipers' from the graveyard!"

[Mecha Team - Snipers, Attack Power 1800]

"Now comes the strongest mecha force!"

The armorer raised his hand and shouted aloud.

"Under the command of War Monitor Covington, merge the Mecha Team cards on the field, Soldiers, Snipers, Defense Soldiers, and transform-combine!

Appear now, the strongest combined mecha —

— Mecha Team - Might, combined summon!!!
