Chapter 487 - Chapter 283: Intelligence Is Crucial

Although Mokgetsu already possesses a Basic Breathing Technique that moderately enhances strength, Mokgetsu will not teach the Basic Breathing Technique to non-disciples, unless the person has earned his trust.

The Basic Breathing Technique may not offer much enhancement, but it can be regarded as one of the core breathing techniques with great potential for development; Mokgetsu has to start developing other breathing techniques from the Basic Breathing Technique.

To give a numerical example, the Basic Breathing Technique practiced to a Constant State can only bring a sixty-point combat power increase to Anbu Root members.

But if a genius from Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzo's side discovers the potential of the Basic Breathing Technique and develops similar techniques to Mokgetsu's Breath of Rock and Breath of Thunder, the upper limit would greatly increase, potentially resulting in a breathing technique that can enhance combat power by five hundred points.

Mokgetsu will not underestimate the ninjas of the Ninja World because he is a Transmigrator with a system; powerful as Senju Tobirama was in developing numerous strong Ninjutsu and Kinjutsu, if he were given a Basic Breathing Technique, Mokgetsu believes Senju Tobirama could truly create a new Kinjutsu.

If Mokgetsu teaches Root Anbu the Basic Breathing Technique, a genius could eventually develop an Advanced Breathing Technique, which may ultimately become an asset to the enemy, and that is not the result he wants to see.

Currently, Mokgetsu has no apparent conflicts with Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzo, and other Konoha high officials; neither Root nor Anbu are enemies to him, but what the future holds Mokgetsu cannot say for sure.

The breathing technique Mokgetsu aims to develop is one that, upon mastery, can bring about a hundred-point combat power increase, but it will be limited to just a hundred, as there is no path forward beyond that.

Developing stronger techniques can yield better rewards and prevent aiding the enemy, so Mokgetsu will undoubtedly choose to develop new breathing techniques.

He already has considerable experience in developing breathing techniques, and coupled with his Enlightened State, this is not difficult for him.

...

"Teacher Minato."

In the training ground, Kakashi, Obito, and others greeted Minato with smiles.

Due to Might Guy's life mission settlement, Mokgetsu's special training objectives were accomplished, so after a few days, Mokgetsu announced that the special training had concluded successfully, except for Shisui, who had not yet graduated, everyone returned to their respective teams.

"I really apologize; as a teacher, I have not been as competent as Mokgetsu." Minato said with a face full of regret.

Although he was the guiding teacher, it was more Mokgetsu aiding Obito and the others to grow.

"That's different; besides, Teacher Minato, you also take on missions to protect the village." Obito replied, indicating Minato need not worry about such trivial matters.

"Obito is right, Teacher Minato, there's no need to apologize for this." Nohara Rin nodded in agreement.

Originally, she should have been learning with Tsunade, but since she hadn't trained with Teacher Minato for a while, Nohara Rin asked Tsunade for a day's leave.

"Not bringing us on missions is also for our safety considerations." Kakashi said, understanding Minato's actions.

In Kakashi's eyes, Minato is also a very reliable ninja.

Listening to Obito and the others, Minato's face showed a sincere smile; he felt he finally understood the joy of a teacher.

"Teacher Minato, are we training or taking on a mission today?" Seeing Minato's improved mood, Obito asked.

"Let's train first; I'll test your current strength." Minato thought for a moment and replied.

Actually, not much time has passed, and by normal ninja growth rates, there shouldn't be great changes, but Kakashi and Obito clearly don't fall under normal classification, so he plans to conduct a battle training session first.

"Are we going to fight you, Teacher Minato?" Obito scratched his head and continued to ask.

He felt somewhat reluctant to fight Minato, as battling Minato was incredibly stifling; easily getting beaten without being able to touch Minato made him seem quite clumsy.

Minato nodded affirmingly.

"Teacher Minato, could you find us a Konoha Jonin? I believe facing different ninjas would better train our adaptability." Obito proposed.

Since interning, Obito had sparred with several Jonin; the Hidden Cloud Jonin encountered during a mission with Mokgetsu, the Hidden Mist Jonin met in the Chunin Examination, Kazahana Doto encountered in Snow Country could also be considered a Jonin, Obito believed he could still show off a bit in front of Jonin.

Minato contemplated for a moment, feeling Obito made a valid point, and agreed, as he had many Jonin friends; finding one was not difficult.

"Wait a moment, I'll be back shortly." Leaving these words, Minato disappeared in front of the three.

Minato went first to locate Dekai, his teammate in Jiraiya's squad.

Although he knew many Jonin, Minato would certainly prioritize finding those he was on good terms with.

Luckily for Minato, Dekai was at home, not out on a mission or playing.

"Testing your disciples' strength? Leave it to me." Dekai listened to Minato's request and agreed directly.

"My disciples are quite capable; there's no need to hold back too much." Minato recalled something and reminded.

He remembered Dekai was likely on a mission during the Chunin Examination, so he didn't see it.

"After all, they're your disciples, Minato." Dekai chuckled and lightly punched Minato's chest, not minding much.

In his view, although Minato is very strong, Minato's disciples were new graduates this year, and even if they were excellent, they wouldn't be too strong.

Though unable to match true geniuses like Minato, Dekai's strength is considered strong among Jonin; he doesn't think a few newly graduated ninjas could trouble him.
