Chapter 365 - Chapter 223: Don't Mourn for Obito; The Green Beast Might Guy Arrives on the Battlefield

A large amount of Chakra gathered in Obito's throat, rapidly undergoing nature transformation under the augmentation of Breath of Flame, and finally turned into an extremely intense flame that was expelled by Obito.

"Fire Dragon Flame Bomb!"

Orange-red flames spewed from Obito's mouth, surging out with firepower far surpassing the Great Fireball, the expelled flames danced wildly like fiery serpents.

This is the challenge of the Fire Dragon Flame Bomb; controlling so many flames to attack from multiple directions is a tremendous test of a ninja's capability.

Obito kept spitting flames, and the fire in front of him grew larger and larger, with fiery serpents surging towards the approaching white mist.

Faced with such a fierce Fire Release, the white mist, which had previously engulfed the Great Fireball, could no longer be rampant. The orange-red sea of fire pushed the mist back step by step, drying up the originally muddy ground under the terrifying heat of the flames.

"This guy has actually mastered such an advanced Fire Release." Seeing Obito's Fire Release suppressing her Boil Release, Terumi Mei was quite surprised.

In terms of Ninjutsu alone, she hadn't seen a rival among her peers, yet Obito was not only strong in Taijutsu but even stronger in Ninjutsu, giving Terumi Mei a sense of encountering a stronger version of herself.

"But unfortunately, what you know is Fire Release." Terumi Mei ceased the Chakra output for Boil Release, stopped spewing mist, and quickly retreated while forming seals to perform Water Release Ninjutsu.

With Terumi Mei no longer maintaining Boil Release, the speed of Obito's Fire Dragon Flame Bomb increased dramatically, and the white mist disappeared, leaving only the orange-red flames rushing towards Terumi Mei.

When Terumi Mei could almost feel the oncoming sea of fire with her body, she completed her final hand seal.

By this time, the flames were extremely close to Terumi Mei, the red glow of the fire enveloping her, as if it would consume her entirely in the next moment.

"Water Release: Water Array Pillar!"

A terrifying amount of water spewed from Terumi Mei's mouth, extinguishing the flames in front of her in an instant, and subsequently, Obito's entire mass of flames was doused by this sudden burst of water.

Terumi Mei, with a flushed face, continued to maintain her Water Release; having faced high-temperature flames head-on, her face had been scorched red.

This was indeed a display of her confidence and courage, as being far from Obito and having great confidence in her Water Release, she chose this method to respond to Obito's Fire Dragon Flame Bomb.

Normally, if a Ninjutsu clash failed, one would need to find a way to dodge.

But Terumi Mei knew that this Ninjutsu clash was critical; even if she wanted to dodge, the wide range of the Fire Release attack left little room to evade. At that point, Obito would definitely seize the opportunity to suppress her with Taijutsu, leaving her with little chance to win.

On the contrary, if her Water Release could suppress Obito's Fire Release in this clash, she could use her Water Release skills to catch Obito off guard.

"Damn, why does it seem like everyone in the Hidden Mist knows Water Release." Obito watched helplessly as the massive flames he spewed out disappeared in less than twenty seconds, feeling deeply frustrated.

With Mokgetsu's teaching, Obito understood the relationship of Chakra affinities; Fire Release is at a disadvantage against Water Release. Without a significant difference in power, Fire Release will be suppressed by Water Release, only when the power difference is vast can Fire Release potentially counter Water Release.

Obito observed the entire battlefield from the corner of his eye, prepared to look for an opportunity to switch opponents with Kakashi; fighting Terumi Mei was too stifling for him, and having the Sharingan, he had strong resilience, finding it easier to maneuver even when fighting two opponents compared to Kakashi.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bomb Jutsu!"

Terumi Mei maintained her control over Water Release, using form transformation to turn the Water Array Pillar into an exceedingly massive water dragon.

Obito was a bit dumbfounded as he watched the suddenly appearing massive water dragon; it was his first time seeing a ninjutsu transform into another type of jutsu.

He exerted his Chakra strongly, trying to dodge, but because the water dragon was already extremely close, he was directly struck by the enormous water dragon bomb and sent flying, breaking five large trees before coming to a stop.

"Cough cough." Having endured such a heavy hit, Obito found it hard to breathe, and after a couple of coughs, he barely stood up using the power of the Breathing Technique.

"To withstand such an attack and still stand, but do you still have the strength to continue fighting?" Terumi Mei didn't seize the opportunity to attack but marveled at Obito's tenacity.

Obito glanced at Kakashi and Nohara Rin, who were still fighting, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and responded, "Of course I do, all my companions are still fighting, what reason do I have to fall."

This sentence was not only an answer to Terumi Mei's question but also something Obito was telling himself.

He diligently maintained Full Concentration Breath, concentrating his breathing continuously; the Breathing Technique could accelerate body recovery, although it couldn't heal instantly like Medical Ninjutsu, at this moment, every bit of recovery increased his chances.

Faced with a wholly intact Obito, Terumi Mei avoided his sharpness; facing the heavily wounded Obito, Terumi Mei launched a heavy offensive, using Taijutsu to engage in battle with Obito.

Obito's Sharingan was still activated, still able to see through Terumi Mei's attacks, but his body, due to the injuries, had become sluggish.

Bam!

The two struggled for a minute, and Obito was punched to the ground by Terumi Mei; although he quickly got up again, the momentum in his eyes visibly weakened.

"Do we need to continue? To be honest, you've already lost." Terumi Mei said, arms crossed, looking at Obito.

Obito's condition was quite poor at this moment. If Terumi Mei wished, she would have the opportunity to kill him.

"I can still stand up. What makes you say I've lost?" Obito retorted, panting heavily.

"So troublesome. Are all you Konoha Ninjas like this?" Terumi Mei was a bit frustrated. Her anger over the strawberry ice cream had mostly subsided, and she didn't intend to kill Obito. She just wanted to collect two Scrolls and pass the exam.

Seeing that Terumi Mei seemingly had no intention of further attacking, Obito stayed silent, focusing on recovery and not taking the initiative to attack.

"The Hidden Mist on Obito's side actually has this kind of strength..." Kakashi observed the situation on Obito's side with a frown.

It felt like they had encountered the strongest few participants in the Chunin Examination. They hadn't ever flipped during missions against experienced Chunin teams, and now they were being driven to the brink by two Genin teams. These were definitely no ordinary Genin.

At this moment, Kakashi had no solution. Obito was almost at a loss. Nohara Rin had the advantage, but couldn't finish off the enemy quickly either, and he had consumed much of his stamina from prolonged use of the Breath of Thunder, now at his limit.

Kakashi remained extremely calm. Though there was no sure-fire plan, a sliver of hope remained. He had to risk everything on this final attack with his remaining Chakra and strength.

If he could eliminate the strongest opponent, Kisame, there would still be a chance; though Terumi Mei was strong, her two allies were not as skilled as Kurozawa and Zabuza.

Just as Kakashi was about to use his final Thunder Flash, a familiar voice reached his ears.

"Damn it, ganging up like this, let Konoha's Green Beast show you guys!"

Might Guy saw Kakashi in a disheveled state and the two Hidden Mist Ninjas surrounding him, and instantly his anger flared.

"Eight Gates, Opening Gate, open! Healing Gate, open!"

Might Guy immediately entered the Breath of Rock state, opening two gates, leveraging the power provided by both the Breath of Rock and the Eight Gates Chakra to dash to Kakashi's location, executing a Tornado Kick that forced back both Kisame and the Hidden Mist Genin.

Kakashi had never found the sound of Might Guy's voice so delightful; even Might Guy's green jumpsuit appeared more stylish.

"It's a chaotic battle." Shiranui Genma, running behind, surveyed the area, realizing there were a dozen other ninjas besides them.

"Help Obito. He seems in worse shape than Kakashi." Ebisu noticed Obito, engaged with Terumi Mei, looking in a poorer state.

Shiranui Genma nodded, and they both threw Ninja Tools toward Terumi Mei, forcing her back, then dashed toward Obito.

"Another ninja team has arrived." Terumi Mei noticed the Konoha Headbands on the two ninjas attacking her after dodging the Shuriken.

Terumi Mei wanted to snatch an Earth Scroll and leave quickly, sensing that other ninja teams across the entire area might be closing in.

"Obito, are you okay?" Shiranui Genma asked while keeping an eye on Terumi Mei.

"Nothing much, just some fractures." With reinforcements arriving, Obito relaxed and smiled.

"It's serious if you're fractured." Shiranui Genma remarked sarcastically.

"Obito, you rest. We'll handle her." Ebisu said, taking out a Kunai.

"Okay, be careful. Her Water Release can change form; it can suddenly shift from Water Bullet to Water Dragon Bomb, and she also has a powerful Mist Ninjutsu." Obito wasn't pretentious, sitting and resting against a nearby tree, while warning them.

Shiranui Genma and Ebisu, not particularly strong, faced Terumi Mei, who wasn't at her peak either, as she had used three Ninjutsus in battling Obito.

Obito didn't expect much from them, just to hold her off for a few minutes. Any real game-changing move would have to come from Might Guy.

Despite having fun teaming with Nohara Rin, the teammate Obito felt most secure with was undoubtedly Might Guy, who could always stand up at critical moments.

Obito continued to recover his body using breathing techniques, focused on Kakashi and Might Guy's situation.

"Kakashi, can you still fight?" Might Guy, attentively watching the enemy's movements, asked Kakashi.

"For now, no problem. I'll hold the shark-face off, you quickly deal with the other Hidden Mist." Kakashi quickly formulated their next action plan.

"It's been a while since our last team fight, leave it to me!" Might Guy gave Kakashi a thumbs up, increasingly focusing his breathing while starting to gather Chakra.

Kakashi swiftly nodded, brandishing the White Fang Short Blade, charging toward Kisame, ready to unleash the pent-up pressure with a counterattack.
