The ticket lady couldn't help but chuckle and said, "I've never seen a Pokémon like that before, are you Trainers from another region?"
"Yes," Naoki replied with a smile, "from the Paldea Region, planning to visit a friend in The Crown Tundra."
"I see," the ticket lady said, "Welcome to the Galar Region. Here, this is the Crown ticket to The Crown Tundra. Please keep it safe, and once you enter the station, you can show this ticket to board the train."
"Alright."
Naoki nodded, holding the ticket as he entered the station. Following the signs, he quickly found the steam train heading to The Crown Tundra.
He boarded the train with Koraidon, and soon, the train began to clatter along.
The scenery outside rapidly zipped past.
Having never been on a train before, Koraidon and Cyclizar pressed their faces curiously against the window, gazing at the view outside.
Naoki looked around and noticed to his surprise that the entire carriage was quite empty, with only him as a passenger.
"Whoa!"
Is The Crown Tundra really that unpopular?
Naoki seriously tried to recall The Crown Tundra from the game.
He remembered it as a harsh, cold land with towering snow-capped mountains, where people lived in small villages, relying on each other due to the extreme weather and terrain.
This kind of place indeed doesn't seem suited for traveling. Naoki thought.
But that shouldn't be the case, right?
If he remembered correctly, The Crown Tundra was scattered with various Ancient Ruins and Shrines.
Places like these are favorites among explorers and ruin enthusiasts, so The Crown Tundra should be quite popular with them.
Could it really be because it's too cold?
Naoki thought it couldn't be that extreme, could it? Isn't it just a tundra? As long as you wear enough layers, it should be fine.
However, it turned out to be just that extreme.
When the train arrived at its destination, Naoki exited the station with Koraidon.
A gust of cold wind hit, and the next moment, he was shivering uncontrollably from the extreme temperature.
"Holy crap, it's this cold!"
Naoki's teeth began to chatter; his winter clothes offered no protection against the cold!
He had indeed underestimated the harsh environment of The Crown Tundra!
But there were no stores selling winter gear around, just the station behind him.
Naoki let out a puff of white breath and forced himself to calm down, surveying the area, seeing nothing but an endless expanse of white snow.
The tundra was covered with hardy trees, bearing thick layers of snow.
In the distance were a series of steep, continuous cliffs, the terrain was incredibly complex and treacherous.
"Calyrex should be in this place," Naoki thought.
But the problem was, he had no idea where to find Calyrex.
The Crown Shrine? Or perhaps some insignificant cave?
At this moment, Koraidon looked over with some concern.
Naoki reassured, "I'm fine, how about you? Can you still manage?"
"Argh!" Koraidon nodded its big head happily.
"Good." Naoki patted it, feeling that Koraidon was quite warm.
In this environment, for a Pokémon as strong as Koraidon, it might not be much of an issue.
Naoki looked at the road sign next to the road in front of the station, indicating the direction to Freezington Village.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Naoki decided to head to the nearby Freezington Village to gather some information first.
So he set off with Koraidon, heading toward Freezington Village.
