Chapter 303 - Chapter 287: Discovery of the Volcanic Region

Since there's still plenty of time, and you can experience various landscapes in the Spirit World that you wouldn't normally encounter, Tenjo Hikari and the others don't really need to worry.

Whether it's the volcano or the rainforest, they're going to visit them all!

The only difference is whether to go to the volcano first or the rainforest.

Mitsuzawa and Serena didn't have any opinions, so Tenjo Hikari decided to go to the volcanic area first.

After all, in the rainforest area, they might encounter some Amazoness tribes, and Mitsuzawa might end up lingering there and not want to leave, so they decided to prepare and visit the volcano first.

Leaving the Forest Area, the whole world suddenly changed colors as if switching maps in a fighting game; what was lush green turned red as they looked out from the train.

Spirits with flames burning on their bodies paused, watching the train pass by, curiously eyeing humans. Some even excitedly jumped and spun around, appearing intrigued by the presence of humans.

Tenjo Hikari slightly tugged at his collar.

He actually isn't very afraid of the heat.

Having once been truly pulled into a volcano by Darkness for a duel, he's genuinely experienced the temperature of a volcano. This kind of heat wouldn't bother Tenjo Hikari too much, but the sudden change in temperature could indeed cause irritation, even for Tenjo Hikari.

"Oh, so it's this volcano," Tierra sat sideways on the train's table, lightly crossing her legs, resting her elbow on her knee, supporting her head with her right hand, turning slightly to look outside.

"Does Sister Midrash recognize it?" Serena asked curiously.

As Tenjo Hikari's disciple, she certainly knew that the spirit Midrash held an "extraordinary" status with Tenjo Hikari. In duels, she could influence Tenjo Hikari's decisions, change his strategies, and occasionally directly participate in duels.

This was something nearly impossible for other duelists.

No matter how good the relationship with a spirit, dueling was the duelist's business.

However, with Tenjo Hikari, Midrash possessed this "status."

Mitsuzawa Daichi did not say anything.

In fact, it was precisely the way Tenjo Hikari interacted with Midrash that occasionally reminded him of the spirit who was supposed to seize the Three Phantasm Sealing Key for the "Seven Stars."

"Of course I know it~" Tierra said generously upon Serena's inquiry.

She clicked her tongue in wonder, reminiscing: "It's the Jurrac Volcano, but when I came back to life, this volcano had already extinguished, and the dinosaurs had long died out, so they never met me."

She gently extended the hand supporting her face towards the outside: "During Tenjo Hikari's last duel with that Dinosaur Human, I thought that monster looked familiar, and later I recalled it."

Even if it's an insignificant carbon-based life form, they were once part of the DT Planet, so as a God, she remembered them.

The focus was, of course, on the terrain.

Compared to those dinosaurs, the terrain was much clearer in her memory.

"I see, this place is a fragment of the Jurrac Spirit World... hmm..." Tenjo Hikari, though familiar with the Jurrac Volcano Field Spell, couldn't possibly know what the volcano truly looked like, so he lightly nodded at Tierra's words.

If that's the case.

Then, the plan to search for DT Spirit World can be reclaimed.

After all, this place is part of the "DT Spirit World" that's been lost.

Almost simultaneously as Tenjo Hikari thought of this, Tierra slightly straightened her body, reached her left hand towards the train's glass, and her left hand directly passed through the glass, touching the outside air.

Accompanying her movement, blue flames rose in her hand, and slowly, three pitch-black test tubes floated within the flames.

As the flames ignited the three test tubes, a silver-white mechanical demon materialized outside, then it was filled with these three tubes.

Buzz—

The lifeless demon's eyes lit up with a crimson glow, then it moved its limbs, freed from the blue flames, and flew out of Tierra's palm.

Then, it expanded, expanded!

A demon originally only palm-sized, suddenly transformed into a terrifying demon of four or five meters!

Just lightly vibrating its wings seemed to emit an intense "heat."

Tenjo Hikari watched this scene without stopping Tierra.

"What kind of monster is that?" Mitsuzawa asked curiously.

"Lucifuge," Tenjo Hikari casually mentioned its name.

"It's the same style as the previous small demon." Serena remembered Tierra had summoned Satan before, both monsters looked similar, but she could clearly sense the difference, "It's strange, I've never seen Master use it before..."

"I'm not worthy," Tenjo Hikari bluffed, "She won't easily entrust all her power to me."

"Are there hidden powers..." Mitsuzawa looked at Tierra, "Even though you're already a card that can block Special Summons, you still have hidden powers."

Although Midrash doesn't have high ATK, she's left a significant impression on Mitsuzawa's heart.

Being on the field, each side can only perform one Special Summon, which might not seem like much in this world, but with the right support cards like Book of Moon, it essentially means restricting Special Summons.

More importantly, Midrash herself can recover Shaddoll-related Spell Cards even when destroyed and continue with Polymerization.

This perfectly aligns with Tenjo Hikari's Polymerization strategy.

But—the spirit unexpectedly has hidden, unused powers?

He couldn't help but let his imagination run wild.

On the other side, Tenjo Hikari knew what Tierra was doing.

With the acquisition of the "Satan," "Beelzebub," and "Lucifuge" components, Tierra had already restored a considerable amount of power.

Though, to her, it's still just "a drop in the bucket," she's able to accomplish things that ordinary spirits could never imagine.

Previously, the Infernoid demons summoned by Tierra could only operate around her, but now, she can dispatch lower-ranked soldiers for exploration.

Upon confirming this area is related to "DT," Tierra thought, since Tenjo Hikari is going to search for them anyway, she might as well send soldiers to collect data.

After spending a period on the train, by the time they arrived at the station, it was already dusk. Tenjo Hikari and the others rested for a day at the Kaiba Company station, and the next day as agreed, they reached the "Volcanic Zone" Twelve-Star Duelist area.

Unlike the Forest Area, the Twelve-Star Duelists here are not spirits, but "qualified examiners" hired by Kaiba Company.

Around the venue, there are many human shops and billboards, most of which are not displaying advertisements, even the electronic billboards are blank.

And the duelist hall is like a large museum-style dueling arena.

The moment the three stepped into the dueling arena, they heard a listless shout: "Jurrac Tyrannus, direct attack—"

"Whoa—"

Then, Tenjo Hikari and the others saw a blue-clad student being sent flying, landing on the ground.

"Kid, coming often won't change your terrible dueling. Not approved, try again next time."

A sickly-looking young man, walking hunched over with his hands in his pockets, came out from inside, coincidentally seeing Tenjo Hikari and the others: "Ah, it's you guys."

It's Dinosaur Lyuzaki!
