Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment.
One form of Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, it is Level 9 with an ATK of 2700.
Both Trishula and Tierra belong to the "DT Planet" universe, and as legendary cards among legends, Trishula was once banned for removing all opponent's hand cards during the first turn in "Infernity Trident Dragon," making the opponent unable to play Yu Gi Oh, and it even had a special summoning dialogue voiced by Kiryu Kyosuke's voice actor, Ono Yuuki—it's truly a legendary card.
In the story of the DT Planet, Trishula is known for being invincible.
When the DT World was invaded by alien Worms, and the Fabled were awakened, the Guardians of the Ice Barrier debated whether to release the last dragon within the Ice Barrier, the most powerful "Trishula," after having previously awakened Brionac and Gungnir. Perhaps out of arrogance, or because the situation was too dire, they began to consider new strategies.
Some believed they could call upon the third dragon, while others thought it better to summon an Archfiend instead—later proving the latter's approach was correct.
After being unleashed, Trishula rampaged and instantly froze the entire planet, effortlessly wiping out the entire Fabled tribe, and even later forced the Dragunity to perish alongside it.
No one knows how this dragon, native to a mysteriously appearing planet, became so powerful. It is neither a Creator Goddess like Sofia or Tierra nor a hero like Captain Crystal, who overcame countless hardships and carried the hopes of a planet and its inhabitants—just a native dragon with such ridiculous Divine Power.
Being a famous local dragon, it later appeared in various guises in subsequent DT series cards, such as Evilswarm Ouroboros, Nekroz, and Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier... among these, Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment, is its fusion guise.
However...
This card is somewhat weaker compared to its other forms.
But—that comes with a premise.
Its effect may be weak, but its Fusion Conditions make up for it—a simple requirement of three cards with different names.
Just three cards with different names to Fusion Summon it!
It can even use monsters on the field to Fusion Summon itself!
Tenjo Hikari was quite curious if he could casually put some monsters into his deck and still protect them under Super Polymerization.
Moreover, this card actually has a special use.
Because its Fusion Conditions are very lenient, there's actually a specialized strategy for Trishula in Duel Links—fusing a bunch of high-level monsters, then using De-Fusion for a one-turn kill.
The strategy is quite similar to how Kaiba Seto used Blue-Eyes as a formidable threat.
Unfortunately, this card must use cards from your side of the field and your own hand, or else Tenjo Hikari could have performed a cheeky play with Junk Fusion by snatching three monsters from the opponent's Graveyard for a surprise appearance, which would surely bring smiles.
Later, Tenjo Hikari didn't draw any new cards. Although he got a Mask Change, Spell Cards didn't mean much to him.
But this wasn't too problematic—since initial contact with the S Dimension had been made, there would surely be more opportunities to acquire cards, eventually even acquiring Masked Heroes.
At the very least, it was better than being unable to find them at all before, thinking they didn't exist.
Subsequently, transactions between Kaiba Company and Sector Security continued, and Tenjo Hikari and other students gradually returned to their world with a Kaiba Company team.
Tenjo Hikari took this opportunity to take stock of the rewards from this long interdimensional journey.
Firstly, the most significant and crucial point was the "Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon." As a Duel Dragon, the card could bolster Tenjo Hikari's Spirit Power, meaning no longer relying solely on Crystal.
Next in line was something Tenjo Hikari had desired immensely...
[Polymerization]!
Dragons with names bearing Fusion!
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!
Summon Dragon with Fusion!
In the original story, Yuri from the Fusion Dimension had this Ace Monster among the four Yus' duplicates.
Upon initially arriving in this dimension and dueling Yugo, Tenjo Hikari checked his deck for any traces of Fusion Dragons, but found none at the time. However, he distinctly understood the uniqueness of Yugo and the others, given he wasn't a native of this world!
Dueling Yugo and his duplicates, inevitably leading to unveiling Fusion Dragons—no doubt about it!
Super Polymerization was destined to present him with this answer!
Within fifteen days, aside from daily routines and assisting Yusei, he frequently dueled Yugo, too, admiring this "enthusiastic" brotherly figure who spoke on his behalf and thus was very willing to duel Tenjo Hikari.
After fifteen days, Tenjo Hikari finally obtained a hint of a Fusion Dragon!
The rest was up to the Philosopher's Stone and Super Polymerization!
Believe first!
As for other major gains, like Trishula and Genex Spare, they were quite useful but had a significance beyond mere application.
Nevertheless, during the days spent with Yusei adjusting and modifying the D-wheel, this mutual understanding helped Tenjo Hikari solve many previously perplexing alchemical problems and realized how to modify the Dimension Gate, reducing energy expenditure.
For Tenjo Hikari, this was undoubtedly a significant enhancement.
Because, as Tenjo Hikari's skills in Alchemy increased, his mastery over Super Polymerization became increasingly potent, and one day, Super Polymerization would fully become his strength.
Upon returning to their world, Tenjo Hikari enjoyed a brief period of leisure.
Why say brief when there was still a long vacation?
Because Tenjo Hikari—had become famous.
As the Duelist who owned Dark Magician, being the first to face off against the S Dimension, recognized as the "Absolute Fusion Master" by both worlds, and his statements about the "injustice" in duels with S Dimension—Tenjo Hikari gained media heat across the world. Despite the fact that he wasn't the only one, the company was not about to let this opportunity slip.
Thus, during the holiday, Tenjo Hikari had to rush to Fengguang Company, quickly signing contracts better than previous ones with the help of Professor Cronos and shooting numerous Instant Fusion commercials, leaving little leisure time, not even catching a break to manufacture new parts for Tierra as agreed.
However, Tierra wasn't in any rush over the short duration of ten to twenty days and was quite interested in the commercial shooting and promotion of Instant Fusion, so she didn't mind it at all.
After the busyness was over, returning to Duel Academy, while busy, Tenjo Hikari managed to craft Tierra's new part, "Infernoid Antra"—without any Fusion Army mechanical materials this time, instead using a substantial amount of the Kaiba Company's bonus and funds from Fengguang Company's instant noodle endorsements to gather enough metal.
After wrapping up all these lengthy matters, Tenjo Hikari suddenly realized...
It was time for school to start!
Beyond stepping into a new grade and a new semester, the most pressing issue for Tenjo Hikari was.
The Tyler Sisters' arrival, the freshmen arriving early, and...
"Integration Department" recruiting for the new semester!
