Seeing Asuna shed tears, Yusei, who was usually unflappable, felt an inexplicable pang in his heart. He actually felt a bit scared and panicked.
He hurriedly and somewhat clumsily tried to comfort Asuna.
"It's all my fault. Asuna, why are you crying?"
Seeing Yusei's silly expression, Asuna's tears turned to laughter. She wiped the corner of her eye and smiled, "No, Yusei-kun is already the best gift the world could give me. You've done more than enough. I'm not unhappy at all. I'm just happy, remembering our time in SAO."
Looking at the girl's face filled with happy memories, Yusei felt a strange discomfort.
Asuna was his first girlfriend… gentle, strong, understanding, the perfect wife and supportive partner.
One could say she was a great help in both daily life and his ventures.
It was rare to see Asuna cry. Although these were tears of joy, seeing it still made him feel very uncomfortable.
At the entrance of Tokyo University, there were quite a few people coming and going in the evening, many heading to nearby restaurants for a late-night snack or going out to clubs, not planning to return.
Right at this campus gate, Asuna, a well-known figure at the school, had thrown herself into the arms of an unfamiliar man. Many male students who witnessed this froze on the spot.
Their goddess was taken... Well, not exactly.
It seemed that from the very beginning, Asuna had brought an adorable little girl to visit the campus. Everyone initially thought it was her little sister, but it turned out to be her daughter.
'So, that meant the man she was embracing now was that child's father?'
What started as mere envy, upon deeper thought, turned into jealousy for many.
A winner in life: a beautiful wife, a very cute daughter, and judging by Asuna's clothes, clearly from a wealthy family.
Instantly, a commotion stirred at the campus gate.
Yusei disliked these people staring. A subtle power from his Rinnegan stirred, an intangible ripple spreading out. Those who had been watching seemed to completely overlook him and Asuna, automatically walking away.
Asuna herself possessed Authorities, so she wasn't surprised by this.
"Shall we go home too, Yusei-kun?" Asuna was in a good mood and actively held Yusei's hand, though the faint blush on her neck showed she was still embarrassed about throwing herself into his arms in public.
Speaking of which, even though Asuna and Yusei were practically an old married couple she still called him 'Yusei-kun' instead of the more intimate 'Yusei'.
Actually, if Asuna used a more intimate term for Yusei, she would feel somewhat shy. It had to be said that Asuna was a treasure of a girl… no matter what, she always maintained the demeanor of her first love towards Yusei.
Returning home, Yui had been eagerly awaiting her parents' return. Seeing Yusei and Asuna come back together, she immediately ran up to them.
"Papa! Mama!" Yui affectionately threw herself into Asuna's arms and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Yusei watched from the side, feeling a bit envious, jealous, and resentful. He said somewhat sourly, "So you only want Mama now, not Papa?"
Yui didn't speak. Her lively eyes looked at Yusei, and she beckoned him with her finger, "Hehe, Papa, come closer."
Thinking Yui was going to give him the same treatment as Asuna, Yusei quickly brought his head close to Asuna and Yui.
A flicker of mischief passed through Yui's eyes. Then, while Yusei and Asuna were off guard, she pushed them together.
Yui didn't kiss Yusei. Instead, her mother paid the price.
"You little imp." Asuna wasn't angry, just gently tapped Yusei's forehead.
Yui stuck out her little tongue, very pleased with her plan and showing no remorse.
That night, Yusei and Asuna didn't get up to any mischief. Instead, they gave Yui a bath and then took her to bed with them.
Yui slept in the middle, a look of excitement and happiness constantly on her face.
The lights were off, but Yui was still too excited to sleep. She hugged her Papa for a while, then her Mama, tossing and turning for a long time before gradually calming down and falling into a steady breathing rhythm in Asuna's arms.
Suddenly, in the dark room, a soft murmur sounded, "Asuna, are you asleep?"
"Not yet." Asuna's voice, tinged with sleepiness yet gentle, replied.
Yusei's Rinnegan granted him night vision, allowing him to see in the dark as if it were daytime.
The Rinnegan itself didn't have this ability, but his left eye, enhanced by Divine Power, could easily accomplish it.
Lying in bed, Yusei looked at the ceiling but found himself thinking about the Path to Godhood mission.
His current strength wasn't enough to transcend the norms. He needed to be stronger, to become an existence that could dictate the rules.
Then, his family could enjoy the benefits of those rules as his dependents.
"I'll give you a carefree life, forever." Yusei suddenly blurted out.
A long time passed with no response.
Just as Yusei thought Asuna had fallen asleep, a faint voice sounded.
"Mhmm, I believe you." It was Asuna's voice, but it was an unconscious reply from within her dream.
Seeing this, Yusei couldn't help but chuckle softly. He looked tenderly at the mother and daughter who were already asleep, then slowly closed his own eyes, holding these two most important people as he drifted into slumber.
The next day, Asuna and Tohru, who had woken up early, prepared a delicious breakfast for everyone.
After breakfast, Yusei, along with Asuna and Yui, who was dressed like a little princess, left the house, ready for today's 'family date'.
However, it seemed there was a slight problem with this family date...
Yusei lifted the little fox with fiery red fur out of Yui's embrace, holding her suspended in the air before his eyes, his expression strange.
"You little fox, don't you know what a 'third wheel' is?"
"Let me go! Yui, save me!" The little fox had no idea what a 'third wheel' was.
Even if she did, she couldn't be bothered to think about it right now… she just wanted to escape from Yusei's 'clutches' quickly.
