Time passed and I was starting to get bored, as I started to play with the pebbles on the floor. Safire soon joined later on. I was guessing she must be bored too. After all she is still 12. We talked a bit more about some random topics about dogs. But Safire didn't seem too pleased when talking about them.
We waited few more minutes which felt like hours. "Or maybe we are at the wrong house?" But Safire glared at me as if she was on guard again. "No, we are at the right one." I looked at her "Did he give you a map or something?" She seemed surprised at my question. "I remember how the house that I lived in three years ago look like! If you don't trust me just say it! " she started getting defensive. "Hey, sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just worried because I still can't believe you were able to live in this mansion though your going through hard times."
"Rebelling in this planet isn't easy. That's for sure.. " She sat back down, she seemed quieter this time. "Hey... Your doing great" I patted her shoulder. "Your.. Very bad at comforting..." She said, she then added. "And.. For your information who I am rebelling on.. Well it is the person who was giving orders to this people to come invade and raid my planet!" She looked fired up as she picked up a stone from the floor and threw it at the wall. "Stupid.. Stupid people.."
"Aren't you also a person?" I didn't understanded it but before she could say a word a random voice appeared. "Seems like her temper is out again. Safire this a new person?" I looked at Safire direction and noticed a man who came out of a novel! Blonde, Sky blue eyes, He dressed so plain that I couldn't tell if he own this place or not.
I immediately stood up like it was an interview. "Sir! I want to thank this girl you took care off, who saved my life in almost going caught by the cops." I just stood still beside Safire not sure what to do. The guy just started laughing. "Your a funny one, come in." He opened a system in front of him and key in the password. I heard a click and the gate opened. Once I stepped in, the first thing I smelled was the smell of fresh flowers in the air.
"Name's Max I don't mind being given nicknames due to my name." Max said as he walked to the doors and unlocked it "Please, come in." Safire normally walks in. I mean.. She did live here for the passed three years.
I looked away from Safire as I was about to look around my surroundings but the first thing I saw was the guy face quite close to mine. Which gave me a jump as I didn't noticed he got this close. "What the... " The guy reached out his hands and patted my head as if curious about something. "No ears or tail?" He said casually. I was confused, tail? How can ears grow from the head? "Uh, sorry?"
He nodded "So you must be from another world. Your clothes really in weird in a formal way." He walked passed me and went back outside. "What a strange guy." Safire came back to me but she seems to have removed her cape.
The first thing I saw was a sharp looking ears. "Wow! Is that what he meant no ears? L-like animal ears?!" I was in shock as I noticed a tail as well. "So your like.. A black cat?"
"That makes so much sense on why you age two years older." I reached out and tried to touch the ears, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my hand she must have smacked my hand away. "Oh, I was just curious. Apologies."
"Don't even try buddy."
