Chapter 86 - Chapter 86

The jet-black Phantom cut through the morning traffic like a predatory beast released from its cage, its engine giving off a deep, thunderous growl that vibrated against the neatly trimmed hedges lining the prestigious school's entrance road.

‎As it approached the massive wrought-iron gates, the security guards barely had time to react before the luxury vehicle swept past them in a smooth, commanding motion, its polished body catching the early sunlight and reflecting it in sharp, blinding streaks.

‎Instead of slowing, it curved elegantly into the school compound, its tires drawing a perfect arc directly in front of the grand fountain at the center of the courtyard, water spraying upward in shimmering plumes behind it.

‎The car came to a precise, effortless stop, as though even physics itself had bent slightly to accommodate its presence.

‎In an instant, the entire entrance area fell into stunned silence.

‎Every student who had just arrived in their own exotic family cars, along with those who were stepping out of luxury SUVs, chauffeured sedans, and sleek sports cars, turned as one to stare. Conversations died mid-sentence. Laughter froze on lips. Even the habitual arrogance worn by the wealthy heirs softened into disbelief.

‎The doors of the Phantom opened smoothly.

‎Chen Anya stepped out first, her school uniform crisp and neat, her face glowing with excitement as she took in the sea of stunned expressions around her. She barely had time to register the attention before Su Ning followed her out of the car.

‎The effect was immediate and devastating.

‎Gasps rippled through the crowd like a physical wave.

‎Su Ning stood upright beside the Phantom, her beige cardigan falling softly over her shoulders, the black skirt fitting her figure perfectly, the white ankle boots lending her an air of effortless sophistication.

‎Her high ponytail framed her delicate yet striking features, while the black mini designer bag resting against her hip completed a look that was both refined and quietly dominant.

‎She did not look like someone who had just been dragged through a nationwide scandal.

‎She looked like someone who had just stepped out of a luxury fashion editorial, calm, radiant, and utterly untouchable.

‎Chen Anya turned back immediately and wrapped her arms around Su Ning once again, her voice hushed but emotional.

‎"Do I really have to attend classes today?" she muttered fiercely into Su Ning's shoulder. "Ditching school for one day won't hurt right?"

‎Su Ning chuckled softly and returned the hug with one arm, her voice warm and steady.

‎"Come on," she murmured. "You're going to be late if you keep clinging to me like this."

‎Anya reluctantly pulled away, her eyes shining with admiration and stubborn loyalty.

‎"Okay, see you later then," She said firmly.

‎"Mm," Su Ning replied, her lips curving into a gentle smile.

‎Chen Anya finally turned and jogged toward the school building, her steps light and buoyant, while Su Ning remained standing beside the Phantom.

‎Then she turned calmly, closed the car door with a soft click, and began walking forward with unhurried elegance, as though she owned not only the school grounds beneath her feet but the very air everyone else was breathing.

‎The whispers started almost immediately.

‎"Su Ning…?What is she doing here?"

‎"I must say, she really has guts"

‎"She looks even more beautiful than before…"

‎"Is she crazy, or just fearless?"

‎But as she passed, even the whispers died down, swallowed by a strange, heavy hush.

‎Her presence was simply… overwhelming.

‎Students stepped aside unconsciously to clear her path, their gazes following her with a mixture of curiosity, disbelief, jealousy, and an unspoken, inexplicable sense of pressure.

‎Some stared openly, some peeked from behind their friends, and some merely lowered their heads instinctively, unsure why they suddenly felt small in her presence.

‎Su Ning walked straight through the main hallway without breaking stride, the sound of her boots tapping lightly against the polished stone floor echoing faintly in the unnatural silence.

‎She reached the elevator and pressed the button without hesitation.

‎The doors slid open almost immediately, as she entered.

‎Inside, she stood alone, her reflection faintly visible in the brushed steel walls, her gaze steady and unreadable as the elevator rose smoothly toward the upper floor where the principal's office and boardroom were located.

‎The moment the elevator doors opened again, the principal was already standing directly in front of them.

‎He straightened immediately when he saw her, his expression shifting into deep respect mixed with barely concealed nervousness.

‎"Good morning, Miss Su," he greeted, bowing deeply.

‎Su Ning stepped out without slowing, her tone light and composed.

‎"Are they ready?."

‎The principal nodded repeatedly, his hands clasped together as he gestured down the corridor.

‎"Yes. Please, this way. The board members are already waiting for you."

‎He personally led her down the hallway, his pace careful, his posture slightly bent forward, like a man escorting royalty rather than a student.

‎The boardroom doors were opened for her without a sound.

‎The moment Su Ning stepped inside, all twelve board members, who had been seated anxiously around the long, glass-topped table, sprang to their feet as if an invisible signal had been given.

‎"Good morning, Miss Su!" they greeted in unison, their voices respectful, cautious, and tinged with fear.

‎Su Ning did not acknowledge them immediately.

‎She walked calmly to the head of the table, her movements unhurried, her heels clicking softly against the smooth wooden flooring. She placed her black mini bag gently onto the glass surface, pulled out the chair, and sat down with effortless grace, crossing her legs slowly and leaning back slightly.

‎Only then did she lift her eyes.

‎A subtle, invisible pressure rolled outward from her like a cold tide.

‎The air in the room seemed to drop several degrees.

‎No one dared to speak.

‎The board members felt their throats tighten, their palms grow damp, their hearts pound harder with each passing second. Even the principal, standing respectfully at her right-hand side, felt sweat gather along his spine, his knees trembling faintly as though they might give out at any moment.

‎One minute passed.

‎Then another.

‎The silence stretched unbearably long, thick with tension and fear.

‎Finally, when several of them were on the verge of collapsing from sheer pressure alone, Su Ning spoke in a soft, casual tone.

‎"Please sit."

‎The relief was instant and overwhelming.

‎"Thank you, Miss Su!" several of them blurted out almost desperately as they scrambled back into their seats, straightening their suits and wiping their foreheads discreetly.

‎The principal cleared his throat, steadying himself before beginning the formal briefing.

‎"Miss Su, I will begin with the current operational overview of the school."

‎He gestured to a digital display, and the screen lit up with detailed charts and reports.

‎"Our school's annual funding structure is currently supported by five other major donor families aside the ROYAL 6's families who have always ranked top" he explained carefully. "They are the An family, the Zeng family, the Ye family, the Mu family, and the Zhao family. Together, they contribute roughly fifty percent of our yearly operational budget."

‎A board member beside him leaned forward nervously.

‎"The An family focuses primarily on infrastructure development, including laboratory equipment and sports facilities. The Zeng family sponsors international exchange programs and overseas competition funding. The Ye family provides technological upgrades, including AI classroom systems and digital libraries."

‎Another member chimed in quickly.

‎"The Mu family funds artistic programs, performance halls, and cultural festivals. The Zhao family handles scholarship programs and international academic research sponsorships."

‎Su Ning listened silently, her expression calm and unreadable.

‎The principal continued, his voice steady but careful.

‎"Our long-term plan includes expanding the science wing, launching a joint research program with two European universities, and restructuring the ROYAL 6 program to include global leadership training initiatives."

‎When the reports ended, Su Ning finally spoke again, her voice light but carrying unmistakable authority.

‎"I do not care who donates what," she said evenly. "And I do not care about your internal power balances. But I will change a few things starting today."

‎Every board member stiffened instantly.

‎"First," she continued calmly, "no board member is allowed to maintain unnecessary personal relationships with donor families. Any violation will result in immediate removal."

‎The room went dead silent.

‎"Second," she went on, "all ROYAL 6 members will attend classes like normal students. No more private tutors replacing school hours. No more skipping exams."

‎Several board members exchanged panicked glances.

‎"They will have a mandatory grade threshold in every exam," Su Ning added, her tone cool. "Fail to meet it, and they are out. Permanently."

‎A nervous board member raised his hand slightly.

‎"Miss Su, what if their families—"

‎"Even if they pay a billion," Su Ning cut in calmly, her eyes flicking toward him with a chilling sharpness. "They will still be removed."

‎The man swallowed hard and nodded immediately.

‎"Understood."

‎"They may keep their private villa," Su Ning continued, "but each family will pay an additional one hundred million. This is not negotiable."

‎The board members nodded frantically, taking notes.

‎"And finally," she said, her gaze sweeping the table, "every decision regarding the school and the ROYAL 6 must pass through me."

‎"Yes, Miss Su!" they responded in unison.

‎The principal bowed deeply.

‎"There is one more matter," he said carefully. "As the owner of Fuyuan, the access to the private penthouse belongs to you. Here is the access card."

‎He stepped forward and presented a sleek black access card with both hands.

‎Su Ning accepted it with a faint smile.

‎"Good."

‎She rose from her seat gracefully.

‎"One last thing," she added calmly. "My friend, Chen Anya. She is under my protection."

‎The principal bowed even lower.

‎"I swear on my position and my life that she will be taken care of, Miss Su."

‎Satisfied, Su Ning turned and walked toward the door.

‎The principal rushed ahead of her, opening it wide with trembling hands.

‎As she left, the entire boardroom remained frozen in stunned silence.
