For a few days, the situation in the Land of Grass became a hot topic around the world.
Many people including the great villages secretly conducted an extensive investigation in this particular subject.
People who were affected of the earlier incident described Satori's frightening appearance and the hard-earned efforts of the shinobi, leading to the defeat of the monster who incapacitate the Land of Fire's next in succession prince.
Yoichi's strength, Great Beasts of the Three Sacred Lands, and the abrupt arrival of the Uzumaki squad were fully unveiled under the eyes of the shinobi.
Thus, as a result, expert shinobi from the great villages came into a conclusion.
The sealing prowess of the Uzumaki Clan were heavily sought after being that excellent and remarkable against mythical tailed beasts with immense Chakra.
Of course, what Yoichi did against was surely out of this world. Fighting a hideous creature in hand-to-hand combat and came unscathed?
That's extremely outstanding.
However, in terms of the significant benefits, those sealing techniques has a higher weight in the presence of the great villages' interest.
"What? You're starting to promote it now? This will definitely earn the ire of the clans, including my Sensei! Why now?"
On the verdant compound, a girlish yet flamboyant voice rang. Tsunade's eyes dilated as she stared at the man. Her breath was shallow, and her heart hammered against her ribs.
On the other hand, Yoichi was sipping his tea with a serene expression. He did not let the liquid ripple in his cup. This silence was a heavy shield against the girl's frantic energy.
Yoichi's sky-high ambitions to promote Martial Arts were no secret to Tsunade.
Deep admiration filled the Senju princess for such a dream.
Having cultivated the energy herself, she knew the raw, changing heat it brought to the soul.
Still, the repercussions of this issue struck a chord in her intellect.
A mix of awe and terror clouded her vision.
Once the secret left these walls, the village would never be the same.
With greedy eyes focused on them, this move felt like a gamble.
Other clans would surely crawl through glass to steal these secrets.
The peace of the Leaf felt like a thin branch about to snap.
"Do not worry about it," Yoichi said, holding her hand.
His grip was firm and grounding. He felt her fingers tremble slightly, a physical sign of her inner turmoil.
"Of course, my main priority will be the Uchiha and your clan. Then, I will make sure those clans and the common people learn this too."
Yoichi's eyes became firm as Tsunade's mind raced.
"But what about my Grand-Uncle's decision?" Tsunade muttered.
Domestication... This must be Second Hokage's second worst decision in his tenure.
"Now, tell me. Do you really want to let your clan dwindle like this?" Yoichi spoke.
"N-no... But–" Tsunade hesitated until his eyes locked onto hers.
"Then that's good! If we taught our clansmen about Martial Arts, then our prowess will be tremendous."
Yoichi spoke with clarity. He saw a future where their strength came from within, not from inherited names. He believed the path of the warrior could transcend the limits of birth.
This kind of clan extinction decision should be prevented before the tragic conclusion surfaced.
Yoichi understood Tobirama's judgment regarding the Senju's integration. He understood the Second Hokage had sought stability through assimilation and control.
The Second Hokage also knew about their bloodline's immense Chakra.
Tobirama had witnessed his elder brother's mythical Wood Release silence every facet of the Shinobi World.
He had built a system to manage such terrifying potential.
But what he didn't factor in was that bloodlines dilute every time.
The gold of the past becomes the lead of the future.
At this point, Tsunade merely leaned her head to Yoichi's shoulder. Both of them savored the gentle whispers of the wind, away from the problematic situations. She felt the steady rise and fall of his chest, finally giving leeway to his plan.
"I hope you're right, Yoichi," she whispered.
Because if you're wrong, there won't be enough medical ninjutsu in the world to sew this village back together.
"Just don't leave me behind while you're rewriting history," she added with a faint, tired smile.
Yoichi rested his chin atop her head, his eyes watching the leaves dance across the compound.
The peace was temporary, but for now, it was enough.
"I couldn't even if I wanted to," he replied.
He knew that her strength was one of the anchors he needed. Without her medical expertise and the Senju legacy, his revolution would be nothing but a brief spark in the dark.
"Really? You are going to teach me, Yoichi-nii? That's great! Hahaha!"
Soon enough, the lovely interaction between them was interrupted by the boisterous laugh of a boy.
"What are you doing here now, Nawaki?!"
Tsunade felt extremely annoyed.
Being disturbed in their free time was detestable in her eyes.
She straightened her posture, glaring at her stupid yet energetic younger brother.
The timing of this brat is truly a curse.
As she watched Nawaki jump up and down, a fleeting memory of another loud-mouthed boy crossed her mind.
Tsunade thought of Jiraiya, whose clumsy enthusiasm and constant shouting often gave her a headache during their Genin days.
Both boys shared that same exhausting spark.
It was a brand of energy that didn't know when to quit or when to be quiet.
"I heard about the new training! If even the commoners get a turn, then a Senju like me should be first in line!" Nawaki shouted, punching the air.
Tsunade sighed, her irritation softening into a weary fondness. She looked at Yoichi, who simply watched the boy with a knowing smile.
He really is like a magnet for these idiots.
First that bumbling fool Jiraiya, and now my own brother.
Regarding Nawaki, a grim mental note lingered in Yoichi's mind.
History could not repeat itself.
The image of the boy dying before Tsunade's eyes was a vision he refused to let manifest.
He is too bright to be snuffed out by a stray explosive tag.
Teaching the youngster Martial Arts in the spacious compound became the immediate priority. Despite Tsunade's behest and her lingering worries about the risks, the lessons began.
Training focused on tempering the spirit as much as the body.
The atmosphere in the compound soon turned joyous and electric.
Rhythmic sounds of bare feet hitting the grass replaced the heavy silence of the previous conversation.
...
Bang!
In the Hokage's Office, Danzo barged in with an evident grimace. He slammed the newspapers onto Hiruzen's desk, the wood groaning under the force.
"Did you know this? That brat is circulating his techniques without our advice!" Danzo's voice became a roar that shook the establishment.
The Third Hokage didn't flinch.
He merely shifted his gaze from the window to the headlines.
Smoke from his pipe curled toward the ceiling, mirroring the fog of political tension filling the room.
In a few days, Martial Arts had become the only topic in Konoha. The recent bloodbath in the Land of Grass was buried by stories of Yoichi's reveal. The public's memory was short when offered the promise of power.
The headlines stated the initial phase was for the clans. However, the mention of commoners being included later had shocked and delighted the populace.
Wishful eyes across the village were now fixed on the Uchiha compound.
With such benefits on the line, the subject became a permanent fixture of daily gossip.
People huddled in tea houses, whispering about the "Qi" that lived in the muscles and bloodstream.
Taijutsu was common, but Yoichi's feats were different.
Battling a beast with bare hands struck a chord with children who lacked the talent for complex Ninjutsu.
All in all, the news was monumental to Yoichi's prestige.
It was a brand that threatened the old status quo.
"Hiruzen, your silence is dangerous!" Danzo barked, leaning over the desk.
"That boy is arming the people. He is giving power to those who don't deserve it!"
The Third Hokage took a slow puff from his pipe.
He watched the smoke rise, acting as a wall between him and his old friend.
"He is making the village stronger, Danzo. Isn't that the point of Konoha?"
"We need order, not just strength!" Danzo's voice was a low hiss. "The system exists for a reason!"
"If a commoner can beat a trained ninja, our world breaks. You are inviting a riot."
He sees a threat, but I see a new foundation.
Still, the chaos he fears is real.
"The clans will hate this," Danzo continued.
"They will see their status disappear. Seize those scrolls now. Give them to my hands to keep them safe before this spreads."
"I will not treat a hero like a thief," Hiruzen said firmly.
The Hokage stood up, his shadow growing long on the floor. The warmth in his eyes was gone, replaced by a cold, sharp look.
"Yoichi is loyal. If this power helps the village, we will use it. I won't bury it in your dark rooms."
I have to be careful. If the clans turn against us, the village falls apart.
"You are too soft," Danzo sneered, heading for the door. "Your 'kindness' will be the end of us all."
"I am the Hokage," Hiruzen said, his voice heavy.
"I will talk to the boy. You will stay away from him. That is an order."
...
Shortly, Yoichi was summoned into the office.
The air was thick with the scent of old paper and tobacco smoke.
Hiruzen sat behind his desk, looking like a tired old man, yet his eyes were sharp.
"You've caused quite a stir, Yoichi," Hiruzen said, gesturing to the chair.
He's not angry... It seems that this old guard remains untouched by Danzo's corrupt mind.
"The people need something to believe in, Lord Hokage," Yoichi sat down, his posture relaxed but ready.
"The battle in the Land of Grass showed us that our current strength isn't enough."
Hiruzen leaned forward, puffing on his pipe.
"Danzo thinks you are trying to start a rebellion. He says that if commoners learn to fight like shinobi, the village will fall into chaos."
"Chaos only happens when people are weak and desperate," Yoichi said.
He leaned in, matching the Hokage's gaze.
"If every citizen is healthy and knows how to defend themselves, the village becomes a fortress. The clans will still be the elite, but they will have a stronger foundation to lead."
"And what of the scrolls?" Hiruzen asked. "The council wants them locked away for safety."
"If you lock them away, they become a target for spies," Yoichi countered.
"But if you put a 'Basic Path' in the Academy, it belongs to the Leaf. It becomes our culture, not just a secret."
Hiruzen stayed silent for a long time.
He looked at the village through the window, then back at the young Uchiha.
"You're offering me a piece of the future to keep the present quiet," Hiruzen noted with a small smile.
"I am offering a win-win, Lord Hokage. For the Uchiha, for the Senju, and for you."
Shortly after, Yoichi and Hiruzen agreed to the terms.
Under this clause, Yoichi had to provide the Martial Arts techniques in their basic form.
In return, Hiruzen had to implement these methods as educational courses in the Ninja Academy.
The deal was a tactical bridge.
It gave the village progress while keeping the true power in Yoichi's hands.
Luckily, there were tons of basic posture techniques in his Martial Arts Archive.
These movements focused on balance, stamina, and basic Qi flow.
Enough to make a student formidable, but not a god.
As for the high-leveled techniques, they remained hidden beneath his immense strength.
They can have the foundation, but the pillars belong to me.
He understood the greedy eyes of the elders would eventually want more.
They would see the children growing stronger and crave the secrets of the "Qi" for themselves.
If they had the guts to criticize him or demand his hidden scrolls, they would have to step over his dead body.
"The scrolls will be delivered by tomorrow, Lord Hokage," Yoichi stated.
He walked out of the office, his footsteps heavy and confident.
____________
I fucked up in their ages now. It's Konoha Year 28 and they are still 14 years old XDD. I have no excuses for that so please, let me apologize.
Now, they are all 16-years-old.
Maybe I'll rewrite it later on, but I want to relish in this rookie mistake of mine.
