"Hmph." The Magical Scientist glanced at his Duel Disk and snorted. "I'll take the first turn. Draw!!"
He drew a card.
Looking at his hand, he sighed lightly, then waved his hand. "I Normal Summon Test Subject – Myutant M-05."
A black, drill-shaped meteorite appeared on the field. Its sides suddenly split open, revealing a blue, eerie eyeball staring at everyone.
[Test Subject – Myutant M-05] Psychic│ATK 0 / DEF 500
Yuui blinked at the strange "drill," thinking, So it's the Myutant test subjects. No wonder the story earlier felt familiar.
Alicia: "Yuui-san, are the Myutant subjects strong?"
"Hard to say. I've never used this deck myself. But their boss monster is decent."
Meanwhile, the Magical Scientist continued, "M-05's effect activates. When this card is Summoned, I add 1 'Myutant' monster from my Deck to my hand.
"I add Test Subject – Myutant ST-46."
He took the card, then said, "Next, I activate the Field Spell—Myutant Evolution Lab."
A magical glow spread outward. Glass tanks appeared everywhere, each containing meteorites similar to M-05.

"The Field Spell's effect: when this card is activated, I can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower 'Myutant' monster from my hand or among my banished cards.
"I Special Summon ST-46!"
A meteorite with a red eye burst from one of the tanks and floated onto the field.

"ST-46's effect activates. I add 1 'Myutant' Spell/Trap from my Deck. I choose the Trap: Myutant Cry."
He added a card, then continued, "Next, I activate the Field Spell's other effect. Once per turn, I return 1 'Myutant' monster from my hand to the bottom of the Deck to draw 1 card.
"I return Myutant Beast, then draw."
Then he raised his hand again. "Next, I activate M-05's other effect. I Tribute M-05 and banish 1 monster in my hand—to Special Summon Myutant Beast from my Deck!"
"M-05" trembled violently. Dozens of black tendrils shot outward, piercing the glass tanks and dragging chunks of unknown flesh into its body.
A monstrous roar erupted as the tendrils gathered around M-05's core and merged into a twisted, pitch-black creature.

Even though Alicia was currently in soul form, she still shivered at the grotesque transformation. Alice outside the field hugged her own arms tightly.
This monster was genuinely nauseating.
"Next," the Magical Scientist said, "I activate ST-46's second effect. It has the same effect as M-05. This time, I banish the Trap Card Bright Future. Since I banished a Trap, I Special Summon Myutant Arsenal."
Black tendrils shot out again, pulling tools and machinery into ST-46's body. The tendrils emerged wielding equipment, forming a towering robot with ST-46 as the core.

"I Set two cards. Turn end."
"Also, Evolution Lab increases the ATK of my 'Myutant' monsters by 100 for each type of 'Myutant' card I've banished. I've only banished 1 so far, so they gain 100 ATK."

"Now, let me see the methods of the creator of Duel Cards!"
Magical Scientist looked at Alicia—or rather at Yuui within Alicia's body—and said, "If you truly possess the power you claim, of course, this old man is willing to become your assistant and witness together with you what those Duel Monsters that surpass even the gods are like!"
"Heh, then you'll definitely see it!" Yuui revealed a faint smile, then swung his hand sharply. "My turn, draw!"
Glancing at Magical Scientist's field, then recalling in his mind the effects of those two Myutant monsters, Yuui waved his hand and said, "First, I activate the Field Spell Neo Space!"
A rainbow-colored cosmic expanse spread outward from Yuui, and the once eerie scenery instantly turned into a dreamlike world.
"The effect of the Field Spell Neo Space: Elemental HERO Neos and any Fusion Monsters that list Elemental HERO Neos as Fusion Material gain 500 Attack. Fusion Monsters that list Elemental HERO Neos as Fusion Material do not have to return to the Deck during the End Phase."
Seeing the surrounding scene, the eyes hidden beneath Magical Scientist's sunglasses widened.
"This is... the power of the universe!?"
"That's right!" Yuui said. "Since you are dueling me using Myutants born from meteors from the cosmos, I'll also face you with the power of the universe."
Hearing this, Magical Scientist let out a displeased huff. "Hmph, are you trying to use this duel to deny this old man's past!?"
"Deny your past!? Heh, you're overthinking it! I'm just telling you that this world is far broader than you imagine!"
Saying so, Yuui drew another card. "Next, I activate the Spell Card Fusion Deployment. I reveal 1 Fusion Monster in my Extra Deck, and then Special Summon 1 monster whose name is listed on that Fusion Monster as Fusion Material from my hand or Deck.
"I choose to reveal Elemental HERO Grand Neos from my Extra Deck, then Special Summon Elemental HERO Neos from my Deck!"
Pure white radiance gathered, and the hero from the cosmos appeared under Magical Scientist's slightly surprised gaze.

A new Elemental HERO who came from Neo Space. By contacting and fusing with the Neo-Spacians, it draws forth unknown power!

"Elemental HERO Neos!?"
Magical Scientist narrowed his eyes at the hero, then seemed to realize something and asked in surprise, "Could this be the spirit that, a thousand years ago, sealed the Three Sacred Beasts!?"
"Oh? Didn't expect you to know! Well, you're the cardmaking master of Saint Fusion Academy! It's only natural you'd know such secrets!"
"Hmph, just because this old man cannot leave this place doesn't mean I am ignorant of the outside world!" Magical Scientist snorted, continuing to examine Neos.
"To think the legendary Three Sacred Beasts, said to rival the gods themselves, were defeated by a spirit from the universe... it seems its potential truly is immeasurable. With such a spirit, you indeed might be able to create Duel Monsters that reach the realm of gods. Still, this alone is far from enough."
"I never said I'm done yet!"
Yuui revealed another card. "Next, I activate the Spell Card Instant Contact. I pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon 1 Level 7 or lower Elemental HERO or Neo-Spacian monster from my Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.
"I pay 1000 Life Points and Special Summon Elemental HERO Grand Neos from my Extra Deck!"
[Yuui, LP: 4000 → 3000]
Nebula-like light surged, followed by the sound of a drill piercing space. Clad in heavy armor and wielding a silver drill, Grand Neos appeared on the field.
[Elemental HERO Grand Neos, Attack: 2500 → 3000]
"Grand Neos!? A form empowered by another's strength!"
"That's right! Now, I'll show you its power!" Yuui thrust out his hand. "I activate Grand Neos's effect! Once per turn, I can target 1 monster on your field and return it to the hand.
"I target your Myutant Arsenal and return it to your hand—Pierce the Heavens!!"
