"From ashes to ashes, light to light, crimson flame," Lucius said, his brows furrowed tightly as he stood in his room with both hands held out in front of him.
With Su not back yet, he had decided to use the opportunity to try and learn more spells to add to his arsenal.
He continued to stare at his hands with strained eyes, his palms trembling.
"Guah!" He let out a frustrated breath as nothing happened.
Feeling defeated, he made his way to his bed and sat down with a thump.
"Guess I can't bypass the book's instructions. If it says I need components for something, I really need to get them, then," Lucius said with a helpless sigh, massaging his forehead.
For a second back then, he had believed it would have actually worked, but alas, it seemed he'd overestimated himself. Although he possessed a seemingly immortal ability, that appeared to be the only unique thing about him—as far as he could tell, anyway.
