(VALENTINO'S POV)
I step out of the bathroom with steam still clinging to my skin, towel hanging low on my hips, water dripping down my body and onto the floor.
The bedroom door opens and the moment I see her, I freeze.
Krystal's standing in the doorway. Her eyes are red, glassy and puffy. Tears streak down her cheeks. She's shaking, her chest rising and falling fast like she's been crying for hours.
My heart drops straight to my gut.
"Babe?" I whisper, taking a cautious step toward her.
She starts walking toward me. She almost makes it halfway before her knees give out.
I catch her instantly, pulling her into my arms before she can hit the floor. I hold her close, cupping her face gently.
"Hey…" I say softly. "What's wrong?"
Her bottom lip trembles. She bites down on it like she's trying to keep something inside, but fresh tears spill over regardless.
I immediately wrap my arms around her, placing her head against my chest. The second she's there, she completely breaks.
