Chapter 65 - Chapter 64: Quiet Madara

Deep within a secret base in the Land of Fire, the air was thick with chakra and anticipation.

The cloned bodies of Uchiha Madara, Senju Hashirama, Senju Tobirama, and Minato Namikaze were being carefully removed from their cultivation tanks.

Their smooth, flawless skin still glistened with remnants of the nutrient fluid as they writhed weakly on the cold floor.

Boruto stood before them, silent and composed.

His eyes narrowed slightly as four silver-white Reincarnation Spiritual Orbs appeared in his palm and floated toward the clones.

The instant the orbs merged into their bodies, all movement ceased.

A puff of white smoke burst from Boruto's form—and when it cleared, he had transformed completely.

Before Kabuto stood a tall, black-haired man wearing a long black-gray robe of coarse hemp, its high collar lined with white fur. A white, three-eyed fox mask hid his face.

Kabuto blinked in confusion. "Boruto… what is this?"

"My identity can't be revealed to them yet," Boruto replied quietly.

An invisible ripple of pupil power spread across his body, erasing all trace of his chakra signature.

Kabuto nodded in understanding. "I see. Then let's begin."

Boruto's hands flashed through a rapid series of seals. He slammed both palms onto the ground, and a low, resonant chant followed.

"Edo Tensei!"

Instantly, intricate black seals spread outward in circles, twisting and writhing across the floor like living ink.

A pale light rose around the four clones as paper-like fragments surged from the ground, wrapping around their bodies in waves.

Slowly, their outlines became clearer—their forms reshaping into the legendary shinobi they once were.

Hashirama. Tobirama. Madara. Minato.

All four stood resurrected once again.

Kabuto's breath caught.

"It worked," he murmured.

Senju Hashirama's eyes flickered open, their calm brown depths scanning his surroundings.

"Wasn't my Edo Tensei released by the Sage of Six Paths?" he asked, confusion in his tone. "What's going on this time?"

He turned—and froze when he saw the figure beside him.

"Orochimaru again?" he muttered warily.

Tobirama glanced down at his hands, testing his chakra flow. Then his gaze shifted—and his pupils narrowed.

"Madara?!"

The realization hit him like lightning. The man standing beside him wasn't his student, Hiruzen Sarutobi, but Uchiha Madara himself.

Madara stood with arms crossed, his crimson Three-Tomoe Sharingan spinning lazily.

He cast Tobirama a cold, contemptuous glance—as if he were looking at a child trying to play war.

Before Tobirama could react, he flickered out of sight and reappeared behind Hashirama.

Minato Namikaze did the same, appearing beside them with a wary expression.

Madara's voice cut through the silence, low and sharp.

"We meet again, Hashirama."

Hashirama sighed deeply. "Madara… we meet again too soon."

"What exactly is happening?" Tobirama demanded. "Shouldn't it be Hiruzen who's revived, not Madara?"

"It's alright, Tobirama." Hashirama's tone was calm despite the confusion. "Madara won't start a fight here."

"Hmph." Madara scoffed, glancing away. "Still blaming me for your brother's recklessness, Hashirama?"

Hashirama turned to Tobirama, irritation flashing across his face.

"This is your fault, Tobirama—for inventing this jutsu! I've been summoned back over and over again!"

"Shut up, Brother!" Tobirama snapped back. "This reincarnation feels even more perfect than before. Our power is nearly at its peak. Do those two brats really think they can control us?"

He lifted a finger, preparing to release his chakra—

—but suddenly froze.

His entire body locked up, crushed by a pressure so immense it felt like gravity itself was turned against him.

He looked forward in disbelief. The masked man—Boruto—had raised two fingers.

"I didn't even sense his chakra…" Tobirama thought. "Yet he's suppressing me completely."

Madara's gaze shifted toward Kabuto. "You're that child who revived me before, aren't you? Why are you following this one now?"

Kabuto gave a small bow. "It's an honor that Lord Madara remembers me. I now serve under his command."

Madara's eyes narrowed behind his crimson glare.

Minato stepped forward cautiously. "We've been brought back again. What do you intend to do this time? Destroy Konoha?"

"Destroy Konoha?" Boruto repeated, almost amused.

"If the Fourth Hokage and I can both be suppressed by him," Tobirama muttered, "then even Big Brother might not be able to break free."

"This reincarnation's precision is perfect," Tobirama thought grimly. "Our power really is the same as it was in life."

Boruto finally spoke, his masked voice calm and steady. "Welcome back to the shinobi world, everyone."

"Who are you?" Hashirama asked, curiosity flickering in his eyes.

"My name is Uchiha Menma," Boruto said faintly.

"Uchiha?" Tobirama muttered under his breath. "Always an evil Uchiha… inherently troublesome…"

Before he could finish, Madara's gaze snapped toward him, sharp as a blade.

Tobirama immediately went silent.

"Uchiha Menma…" Hashirama echoed, frowning. "I thought the only surviving Uchiha was Sasuke. Are you his son?"

"Sasuke's son?" Boruto blinked behind the mask, pausing for a second before replying smoothly.

"No. Uchiha Menma is just an alias. My true name can't be known to you yet."

Hashirama accepted the answer with a nod. "Alright then, Menma. What's your purpose in reviving us? Surely it's not to destroy Konoha?"

Boruto shook his head. "Not Konoha."

"Not Konoha?" Tobirama pressed. "Then what—do you plan to use us to destroy the entire ninja world?"

Boruto's tone turned faintly amused. "Second Hokage, your vision is too narrow. Neither the villages nor the world interest me. My goal…"

He raised his head slightly, his voice echoing with quiet confidence.

"…is the stars and the sea."

Hashirama and the others stared in stunned silence.

"In the future," Boruto continued, "the Ōtsutsuki Clan will descend upon this world. I need your strength to fight them."

"The Ōtsutsuki Clan…" Hashirama murmured, frowning in thought.

"Their power surpasses anything you've ever faced," Boruto went on. "Even the current Seventh Hokage and Sasuke Uchiha might not be able to defeat them."

"Seventh Hokage?" Hashirama repeated, startled. "Konoha already has a Seventh?"

"Who is it?" Minato asked eagerly, his tone filled with quiet hope.

"The Seventh Hokage," Boruto said softly, "is Uzumaki Naruto."

Minato's eyes widened, and a gentle smile spread across his face. "Naruto… you really became Hokage."

Boruto's gaze shifted toward Madara. The great Uchiha stood motionless, his eyes distant—silent.

So quiet… Boruto thought. Maybe his heart finally broke after being used by Black Zetsu.

He stepped closer, his tone edged with provocation.

"Uchiha Madara… after your dream was shattered, have you forgotten how to dance?"
