Chapter 45 - "The Unveiling of the Fujo-Maid"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ever since Ethan got himself such a perfect maid like Sayuriko, his life had basically turned into paradise—pure bliss, every single day.

To say he was now living the "clothes magically appear, food just arrives" kind of life wouldn't be an exaggeration at all.

"Hey, Saitama, Genos—could you two maybe not eat like starving wolves for once? You're guests at my house! You ever heard of a thing called manners?" Ethan snapped, veins popping on his forehead as he watched the two bottomless pits devour everything in sight.

"Manners? Can you eat that?" Saitama said between mouthfuls.

"For the sake of improving one's strength and replenishing energy, such trivial things as manners can be temporarily discarded," Genos replied, stuffing a cube of tofu into his mouth at lightning speed.

"You two bastards… especially you, Genos! You're a cyborg—why do you even need to eat!?"

"I may be a cyborg, but I'm fully capable of breaking down and absorbing nutrients from food with one hundred percent efficiency. There's no need for you to worry about me, Mr. Ethan."

Ethan glared at them, trembling with barely contained rage. He could practically see himself unleashing a combo—uppercut, hook, cross—until these two freeloaders' faces were black and blue.

"Master, there's no need to get upset," Sayuriko said softly, kneeling beside him with her usual gentle smile. "I prepared plenty of food today. Here, Master—this is your favorite."

"Heh, thanks, Sayuriko. As expected of my maid—you always think of me first." Ethan grinned, happily taking the dish from her hands.

"Ugh. Scumbag," Saitama and Genos said in perfect unison, both glaring at Ethan with open contempt.

Ethan puffed out his chest smugly. "Heh heh, what's this? Jealous? I can't help it if I'm handsome and girls just naturally adore me. That's why Sayuriko insisted on becoming my maid."

That grin of his was enough to make anyone want to punch him in the face.

Saitama and Genos both gave a synchronized snort and turned away, silently cursing him in their hearts: Show-offs die early. Really early.

Before Sayuriko became Ethan's maid, neither Saitama nor Genos cared the slightest bit about women. Relationships, girlfriends, maids—it all sounded like pointless distractions to them.

But ever since Sayuriko showed up, Ethan wouldn't stop rubbing it in. Every chance he got, he'd flaunt her in front of them, giving them that "single loser" look that made their blood boil.

Over and over again, he provoked them until they couldn't help but feel a mix of envy and murderous hatred toward him and his precious maid. They were this close to burning the "lovey-dovey" pair at the stake.

"Master," Sayuriko said sweetly after the meal, "you've just eaten—allow me to give you a massage to loosen up your muscles."

"Mmm, excellent idea." Ethan nodded approvingly.

"Master, let me—""Master, I'll—"

Right in front of Saitama and Genos, Sayuriko kept cooing "Master" this, "Master" that, fussing over him nonstop. It was like watching a live humiliation reel, and the two heroes could feel their sanity slipping. For the first time, they seriously considered going out and getting girlfriends.

"Humph!" They both snorted again and started walking out.

Before Ethan could say anything, Sayuriko suddenly spoke up shyly.

"Um… actually, Saitama-sama, Genos-sama… I think you two are very compatible."

"Huh?" The two froze, staring at her in confusion.

"I mean, even though you're both men, true love transcends gender, right? Sayuriko totally understands! You don't have to hide anything in front of me—I'll fully support you and even give you my heartfelt blessings. Oh, and… could you both sign this for me?"

She blushed as she pulled out a glossy photo book—the cover illustration showed Saitama and Genos posing together… in very little clothing.

For a full second, neither of them processed what was happening. Then their faces twisted in horror. Sayuriko's eyes gleamed with a fangirl's feverish light, her expression disturbingly… suggestive.

Ethan could only gape. He'd known his little maid had quirks—but this? This was on a whole new level.

"Ahem… well, since you two have been mooching meals here every day and eating Sayuriko's cooking, how about signing it for her? You know, as a thank-you?"

"WHAT!? YOU BASTARD—GET LOST!!!"

Saitama and Genos completely lost it. Their eyes blazed red with fury as they lunged toward Ethan, ready to tear him apart.

"..."
