"Hey, papa. I heard from uncle Jimin that you used to date a ganster in your twenties?"
Lia, a teenage girl said looking up at Taehyung who was making breakfast.
Lia was adopted by Taehyung and Jungkook a year after they got married and Jungkook became state attorney. Feeling their family was now completed, after their little baby girl arrived.
She refers Taehyung as 'papa' as he seems like a motherly figure to her, while Jungkook as 'dad' as he looks like a fatherly figure. She is 15 now, while Tae is 32 and Jungkook is 35.
Taehyung choked on air at that and looked up with wide eyes.
"W-what?"
He stammered as he flipped the pancakes.
"Yeah, Jiminie uncle said you used to date some street ganster. It's so cool. I wanna know about it"
Lia said smiling excitedly feeling like her novel came true quiet before it was even written.
"Y-yeah, I mean yes I did. But it was quiet a long ago. I don't remember much."
Taehyung said looking down at the pan with red cheeks. And clicked his tounge reminding himself to choke Jimin the next time they meet.
"Really? Tell me how did you meet? And how did he propose? Was he protective? Was he..crazy?"
Lia blabbered out smiling and Tae blinked.
"No I mean...yeah, a little crazy. But he wasn't like some criminal. But he did fought in streets and participated in illegal boxing matches."
Taehyung said biting his lips remembering the past memories.
"Wow..."
Lia said with bright eyes
"We met when I was on a late night closing shift at a grocery. Someone was stealing something from the shop. But was caught by him. He was kind of the area ganster, so no one really messed with him or his group."
Taehyung said remembering those punches the thief got, while Tae screamed in horror.
"Oh wait, what was his name?"
Lia asked tilting he head, frowning.
"I-I don't remember well, but something like...J-Justin seagull like that."
Taehyung said curtly and licked his lips.
"Did he threaten you not to tell anyone about that?"
Lia asked curiously, finding the name weird but shrugged it off.
"Not really"
Taehyung spoke shortly reminiscing about the event.
FLASHBACK~
"Fuck, are you crazy?!! He might be dead."
Taehyung shouted with wide eyes as he stared at the to be thief's limp body.
"He is not, babyboy. Don't worry about him. It's the third time he tried this. So he deserved a lesson.
Anyways, mind billing my things love?"
The supposed gangsta said while running his hand through his hair. With a charming smirk and a bloody hand. As he knew, he has fallen for this cute boy behind counter at first sight.
Taehyung blinked, utterly dumbfound and billed the items not knowing what else to do or how to respond to this sudden flirting.
"Do me a favour, baby. The next time he ever comes here, inform me.
For that I mean, let me give you my number"
The handsome man said and smoothly asked for Tae's phone.
Tae looked at him with hesitant doe eyes. Yet being a little afraid, he gave him his phone.
"Hmm, be aware and safe, cutey. It's not the innocent's world nowadays you know."
The man said handing back his phone. He winked at Taehyung and Tae gulped.
PRESENT~
"What did he look like? Like ugly, street roughened ganster?"
Lia said and made a funny face
"No baby, rather he had a innocent cut to his face tbh. He didn't really look like some street ganster."
Tae said smiling and placed her breakfast on the table.
"Then? How did you began dating him?"
Lia asked biting the pancake.
"He began visiting the store frequently during my shifts. Making little talks and joking around. I didn't really get some bad or scary vibe from him for me.
So we became friends soon"
Taehyung said shyly
"Ohhh...I see. Then what triggered the dating thing?"
Lia asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Once his group got in a really messy fight with some other area's ganster group. It was a little bigger than their other fights. They had to be underground for a while. Their whereabouts were know to really trusted ones. I was one of them.
And police had began questioning about them to those who were related to them. At their homes, part time jobs and friends"
Taehyung said
"Did they come to you too?"
Lia asked gasping
"Yeah they did."
Taehyung replied
"Then...did you snitch?"
Lia said with curious wide eyes
"Hmm..no. i didn't tell the police."
Taehyung said biting his lips shyly and Lia clapped.
"Wow, papa. It must be like some movie"
Lia said dreamily.
"Yeah, and then once the matter was solved. And he wasn't underground anymore. He began dating me..as he trusted me then and we confessed our feelings after it."
Taehyung said
"Then why did you break up?"
Lia said tilting her head
Taehyung froze for a second then replied
"My parents didn't allow him to be close any longer due to his ganster relations and bad reputation. So...we broke up"
"Awee...it's sad. But then you met dad. So its good, as you both are more lovely."
Lia said smiling.
Tae nodded chuckling while internally remembering the actual incident.
FLASHBACK~
It has been years since Tae had been dating that handsome street ganster. He was really caring, loving and soft only to Taehyung.
One night~
The bad boy had sneaked upto Tae's bedroom despite the raining that night. As he entered through the window, Tae hugged him tight.
"Fuck I missed you babe"
He whispered sniffing Tae's floral scent.
But to their dismay, the door burst open as Taehyung's father, Kim Namjoon stood right before them with his concerned mother, Kim Seokjin.
"The fuck is going on? We were suspicious someone was visiting at night a lot. "
RM said in his straight up no bullshit tone with a stern face
"D-dad..I.."
Tae stammered and Rm glared at him to be quiet.
"May i know...why we have a criminal in our house at night?"
RM said gripping the doorknob.
"Sir, I apologise for my sudden and hidden apperance. But- "
The accused man said but was cut off by RM
"I don't know about your manners, Mr ganster. But you must know. That in Kim's household. We don't appreciate such criminal status men to be around our kids"
RM said firmly and Tae gasped.
"No dad, he isn't a criminal. Please dad, listen to us. He isn't a bad human being"
Taehyung said with a desperate note but RM didn't care.
He held the supposed criminal's arm and dragged him down the stairs and out of the main gate.
Tae rushed behind them crying helplessly and sobbing. While Jin worriedly tried to calm him down.
RM shoved him out the house in the rain and said coldly.
"I don't know how many chicks or innocents you play with. But my son, won't be one of them. Get out"
As the raindrops dripped down the ganger's hair and clothes. He looked up at RM and replied with intense an voice
"Sir I understand your concern. But.. Taehyung is not my plaything. He is my heart. He is my sun and my everything. I love him...more than anyone could ever can.
And I won't give up on him. And if being capable for him means to have a cleaner status.
Then I will give up this ganster world and relations. I will... become deserving for him. I will come back"
He stared fearlessly and determinantly in RM's eyes.
Tae cried out due to the agonising pain for being torn between family and love.
"Dad...please. let me go to him..once"
Tae stuttered out and Rm nodded after a few seconds.
Tae ran towards his lover. He hugged him tight not caring if he was getting soaked in rain.
"I will be back, baby. Please wait for me. I love you Taehyung"
The ganster whispered and Taehyung replied.
"I will wait. I love you.... Jungkook"
They kissed for the last time that night. And the lovers were wretched off each other....for now.
PRESENT~
The main door opened and entered the missing subject of the talk.
Jeon Jungkook. He had came home after a long jog.
"Hi babe, what are you both talking about?"
Jungkook said smiling as he backhugged Tae who whined about his sweat while Lia laughed.
"Dad did you know papa dated a ganster in his twenties?"
Lia said with a bright smile, as if her fantasy came true.
" Oh really? I never knew...you had such a wild taste, babe"
Jungkook said smirking and subtly tightened his grip on Tae's waist.
Tae blushed hard and looked away. While Lia had that awe gaze for her parents' love.
"Anyways, come on Lia. You gotta get ready, baby. It's getting late for school."
Jungkook said and Lia nodded rushing upstairs to get ready.
"A ganster huh?"
Jungkook whispered teasingly and turned around Taehyung.
"Fuck off, I had to lie that it was some other man. I can't let her know that her own attorney father was a gangster once"
Taehyung said rolling his eyes and Jungkook chuckled.
He kissed him softly and pinched his waist.
"It was such a beautiful time. I got to date a cute grocery part timer and then marry him. Ofcourse not before your father bullied me enough"
Jungkook said pouting and Taehyung giggled.
"Awee, the ganster got bullied. Such a rare case."
Tae said smiling
"Teasing me huh? Wait till the moon comes up. I will tie you to bed just like last week, and make you cry and beg for my coc-"
Jungkook whispered in his ear smirking but then Tae slapped his shoulder.
"Shut up, Lia must be coming downstairs. Go and change up. You have to drop her to school"
Tae said with red cheeks
"You still get red after so many years. Fuck, I think I fell again"
Jungkook muttered and Tae smiled.
They kissed again softly and savouring each other. Just like before. Just like the gangsta fell for the part timer at first sight.
