Luckily, Edith was a strong woman. She immediately bit the mysterious person's hand and then ran away from him. She had actually suspected Callum wouldn't contact her using someone else's phone because he always carried a power bank with him. He even made time to talk to her while he was busy using his phone. Therefore, it was impossible for Callum to act out of the ordinary.
She ran far enough that she was out of breath. She hid for a moment in a minimarket to call Renata. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled slowly, shaking out her dress.
"Renata, I need your help now."
"What happened? Aren't you buying ice cream right now?"
"Someone was chasing me all of a sudden."
"What?!"
"Sorry, I wish I had asked you to accompany me earlier."
"No need to apologize. What matters most is where you are now."
"I'm at the convenience store. I'll text you the location later."
"Okay, I'll go there right away and call Patrick to take care of the kids."
