Chapter 90: Anomalies at the Tower of the Hand

The clear morning sunlight poured forth, piercing through the clouds.

King's Landing, in front of Clegane Manor.

With a bang, a grating impact sound echoed from the front courtyard.

Samwell Tarly, with a look of astonishment, deeply inhaled the cool morning air.

"Damn it, someone help me up!"

"Montun, Sorel seems to have fainted! Doctor! Doctor!"

Monton Waters, fully armored, pulled down his visor and said bluntly, "Don't worry, I was holding back. Sorel's body is very strong, he'll wake up in a while."

"…"

The air seemed to freeze for a second.

"Montun, you bastard!"

"I'll kill you!"

"You bastard!"

The Clegane soldiers present erupted in a cacophony of curses.

Montun chuckled, ignoring the enraged crowd, and walked towards Samwell.

Samwell looked at Montun, who was similarly stout, blinked, and said, "Montun, this time I've directly felt your strength. It's indeed precisely beyond words to describe."

Montun, with dazed eyes, glanced at the noisy Clegane soldiers, leaned towards Samwell, and said in a low voice, "I'm telling the truth, I was indeed holding back."

Samwell couldn't help but ask, "How much were you holding back?"

Montun took off his bucket helmet and said, "Specifically… about half?"

"..."

"Lord Glynn, the Master of Coin requests your presence…"

In the manor's inner chamber, Glynn, who was eating, saw Samwell walk in, panting and out of breath.

Samwell wiped the sweat from his forehead, nodded, and said, "Baron Glynn, I have something to report."

Glynn smiled and nodded, gesturing for Samwell to sit down, and said with a smile, "Sam, please sit first and have a drink."

After speaking, Glynn turned to the squire and asked, "Where is Lord Baelish meeting?"

"Chataya's Brothel."

Glynn raised an eyebrow, paused, and said, "Reply to Lord Baelish for me, I will visit after sunset."

"…"

"Sam, what's the matter?"

"Baron Glynn, it's about Monton Waters."

Excitement appeared on Samwell's face, and he continued, "Montun's strength is immense. His current plate armor is almost like cloth armor to him. I think we can specially forge a thicker plate armor for Montun. I've discussed it with him, and it could be at least half thicker than his current one. If this is achieved, Montun will become everyone's nightmare."

Glynn nodded slightly and said, "Sam, you understand armor very well?"

Samwell replied with a shy smile, "I… I can't fight on the battlefield, so I've studied a lot about this."

After speaking, Samwell lowered his head.

Glynn reached out and patted Samwell's arm, saying, "Sam, don't dwell on bad memories. Your life has just begun, and victory and defeat in war aren't decided only on the battlefield. Your current idea is very good. If this is achieved, Montun might become an invincible presence on the battlefield, and you will have contributed greatly. I really like Montun, and I support your idea. I'll be responsible for the Gold Dragons; how about you being responsible for taking Montun and getting this done?"

Samwell nodded heavily and said, "I will do my best!"

Glynn's eyes lit up and he said, "I've heard that a blacksmith named Tobho Mott is very famous. You can go find him. His forge is built at the top of Steel Alley on Visenya's Hill. His forge is larger than all the other shops on the Street of Steel. On either side of the forge's main entrance are two stone-carved knights, very easy to recognize."

Samwell, who could barely contain himself, immediately stood up and took his leave: "Baron Glynn, I remember. I'll go find Montun now!"

Glynn's eyes were smiling: "Sam, congratulations on finding a new beginning."

"…"

"…"

Red Keep, Maegor's Tower Garden.

At this time, Glynn's pressure was a little high.

After finishing breakfast, Glynn, with his guards, directly entered the Red Keep and went to Maegor's Holdfast to meet Queen Cersei Lannister.

Glynn was enjoying Queen Cersei's praise… and stood with Jaime Lannister, "watching" Queen Cersei bathe.

Glynn glanced at Jaime but received no response from Jaime.

Alright, I'm the odd one out.

Putting away his thoughts, Glynn lowered his eyes and began to report his progress at Highgarden to Queen Cersei.

Cersei, with her eyelids closed, opened her beautiful eyes, looked at Glynn, and curled her lips: "Baron Glynn, you are filled with the courage I admire, and you have done very well."

Glynn patted his chest and said, "Your Majesty, my courage comes from you."

Cersei showed a satisfied expression and said, "Baron Glynn, you may leave first."

Hearing this, Glynn silently pointed towards the garden in Jaime's direction, then left the room very forthrightly.

After Glynn left, Jaime moved, looking at the beautiful scene in the bathtub. His Adam's apple bobbed as he said, "Cersei, your mood seems very pleasant?"

Cersei glanced sideways at Jaime, scoffed, and said, "Jaime, isn't he very likable?"

Jaime said helplessly, "I'm not jealous. Glynn is a rare honest knight, and… he doesn't understand carnal pleasures yet. I'm afraid you'll scare him away."

As he spoke, Jaime couldn't help but curl his lips.

Cersei played with her hair, her eyelids slightly lowered, her lightly trembling eyelashes covering the light in her eyes: "If he can't even endure this, how can I confidently use him in the future?"

Jaime spread his hand and said, "Therefore, I chose to be your sword, not wanting to bother with these complicated things."

Cersei looked at Jaime, extended a finger, and beckoned him.

Jaime smiled and shook his head, then bent down.

Cersei's index finger hooked Jaime's chin and she said, "Ser Jaime, I feel you are trying to tempt me for credit, is this an attempt to gain favor?"

"Cersei, I can't refuse you, but I have to tell you, I'm wearing armor right now."

"…"
