Cyril froze, sensing the tension radiating off Willie. The boy's pale face, wide eyes, and trembling limbs told a story no words could fully capture. He clutched Cyril's shirt, nails digging in with desperation. Cyril lowered his voice. "Willie, slow down.Take a breath."
Willie swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing as he struggled for composure. "I… I went to the house… Alpha Eric wasn't there. I tried his phone, I… I called him over and over, but he… he wasn't answering," he stammered.
Cyril gripped Willie's shoulders, steadying him. "What is it, boy? What happened?"
