She put the file into her bag and stood up. The clinic was beginning to feel suffocating. Voices whispered from the corridors, a faint creaking in the ceiling, the sound of droplets falling from somewhere unseen. She passed an open room with its doors wide, and inside it there was a large mirror… an intact mirror amid all this ruin.
She approached it slowly, looking at her reflection.
Then…
She saw a face behind her. She turned quickly. There was no one there.
She looked back at the mirror… nothing.
But she noticed something else now. At the bottom of the mirror, something small was carved in a sharp script: "Reality begins where memory ends."
Behind the mirror, there was a small door, hidden beside an overturned metal cabinet. She opened it and stepped into a narrow corridor, completely dark, where almost nothing could be seen. She took the flashlight from her bag and walked on.
The corridor walls were covered with children's drawings. But something was strange… all the faces drawn were without eyes.
Then, suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her. She turned, but there was no one. She hurried… and the footsteps quickened behind her. She ran as fast as she could, but unfortunately she slipped and fell.
When she opened her eyes, she was in a strange room. Not a clinic room… but something like a warm, homey bedroom, with a small bed, children's toys, and a window overlooking the sea…
She got up slowly… then heard a small voice behind her.
"Celine… do you remember now?"
She froze in place. She turned slowly. Lilia was standing in the corner. But something about her… was not normal. Her eyes were far too wide, unblinking, and her face did not move.
Celine said in a low voice:"
_ Lilia?"
The child smiled and said:"
_You were there too, weren't you?"
_"Where?" (Celine)
_"When the door was closed. You were holding my hand… then you let go of me."
Celine said as she stepped back:"
_I didn't… I didn't do that… this didn't happen."
Lilia said:"
_It did. But you forgot. Because they made you forget."
Celine screamed:"
_Who? Who are they?!"
Suddenly, everything changed. The room shook, and everything in it began to melt as if a collapsing dream.
And Lilia's last voice said:
"Ryan was my father… but he was afraid of me"
Then she vanished, and Celine fell into the darkness, without knowing what happned.
