Chapter 11 - Clash of the Relentless

—The Broken Wall—

The two figures struggled to get back on their feet, their bodies covered in dust and bruises from the explosion.

Without hesitation, Demon leapt toward Gunther like a wild beast.

Gunther didn't flinch—he shot forward just as fast, slamming his iron-covered knee into Demon's jaw.

But Demon didn't back down.

With a growl, he grabbed Gunther's leg mid-air and swung him into a tree, snapping it in half on impact.

Gunther rolled, rose quickly, brushed off the strike like nothing.

"Tch… that suit," Demon muttered.

"It's dampening the damage. I'll have to break it."

He rushed again. Gunther met him head-on, catching Demon mid-attack and hurling him into a wall.

Concrete cracked. Pieces scattered.

Gunther stepped into the hole and scoffed.

"You're not much of a fighter, are you? Stick to strategies, boy."

Demon pushed out of the rubble, rubbing his neck. A faint smile curved.

"Sorry for making you think I was just a strategist."

From the shadows of the broken wall, a hand shot out—gripping Gunther's face.

CRASH!

Demon slammed Gunther into an electrical console. Sparks erupted, volts tearing through his body.

Gunther roared, swung wildly. Demon dodged back, quick.

Gunther staggered, limbs twitching. Blood slid from his nose. He wiped it clean.

Demon grinned.

"Heh… finally."

Gunther's eyes hardened.

With a hiss of steam, the iron suit compressed, locking tighter, sleeker.

"I need more speed."

He dashed forward, faster than before.

Demon stood tall, red eyes locked, smiling faintly.

"I might be crazy… or just a suicide maniac," Demon thought.

"But damn, I love how this fight is going."

—The Roar of Power—

Inside the base compound, Void and a group of teens stood over a fallen soldier, kicking and mocking him.

"Don't worry," one sneered. "We'll give you a slow death."

Then—

A roar. Loud. Terrifying.

It ripped through the base's depths.

Everyone froze.

Void blinked. "Was that Spark?"

"No way," someone muttered. "no way that sounds like a battle cry."

The soldier on the ground trembled. Eyes wide.

"this is hell..." he whispered.

In the control room, Hakimi watched the monitors. His eyes widened at Demon and Gunther's fight.

—Power Clash—

Down below, Gunther blurred across the floor. His iron suit gleamed.

Demon matched him step for step.

Their blows collided—fast, furious, relentless. Afterimages trailed behind them.

Gunther conjured guns. Fired.

Demon twisted. Slipped between the shots. Closed distance. Grabbed Gunther's arm.

RIP! A piece of the iron suit tore free.

"Argh—!" Gunther growled.

He slammed into Demon with full weight. Both crashed into the power plant section.

BOOM!

Sparks rained. Machines shook.

Demon stood, brushing off dust.

"Heh…"

Gunther rose. Laughed. Didn't even know why.

Why the hell am I smiling? he thought.

Then he saw it. The massive generator. The plant's engine.

An idea sparked.

When the smoke cleared, a massive weapon gleamed in his hands. Forged from the generator's materials. Electricity surged around it.

Demon's eyes narrowed.

"Crafty."

Gunther pulled the trigger.

Lightning screamed.

Demon blurred, dodging arcs that tore through steel.

Gunther laughed.

"Hahaha! You can't dodge forever!"

A whisper of presence. Behind him.

No way.

He spun, cranking the weapon to full power.

"DIE!!"

Lightning roared. Demon didn't dodge.

The blast ripped through the facility, tearing walls apart, exploding out into open air.

The ground shook like an earthquake.

All across the battlefield, heads turned to the source of the tremor.

In the wreckage, Gunther crawled from the smoking hole. Step by step, he moved toward the blast zone.

The smoke thick. The lights flickering.

Then he saw them.

Two red eyes.

Glowing.

Unmoving.

Unshaken.

Watching.
