Chapter 101 - Seoul Airport, Korea

Seoul Airport, Korea

The cool Seoul air brushed against their faces as they stepped out of the airport doors.

Fourteen long hours in the air, suspended between what was and what awaited them. The familiar skyline stood quietly in front of them, tall and steady, yet carrying weight. Their home. Comforting, yes. But not untouched. Not innocent anymore.

Suho squinted slightly as the evening cold kissed his skin, eyes puffy, lashes heavy from a sleep that had been anything but peaceful, refreshed. He had slept the entire flight clinging to Hauen, arms wrapped around her. Even in sleep, his fingers had stayed laced with hers.

Hauen had dozed too, head tucked under his chin, breath slow and warm against his chest. Now she blinked awake, adjusting her scarf, eyes still soft with leftover sleep.

A sleek black car waited near the curb. Officer Park stood beside it, accompanied by Suho's legal team.

The moment Hauen spotted him, her steps faltered. The memory hit her uninvited. Hands gripping her arms. Being dragged out of her own house. The same uniform. The same face.

Her fingers tightened around Suho's arm.

He felt it instantly.

"Don't worry," Suho said quietly, turning slightly toward her. His hand closed over hers, steady and warm."He's here to collect the evidence. Nothing else."

She nodded, though her breath was still uneven.

Officer Park approached first, posture professional. "Hello, Mr. Kim."

Suho acknowledged him with a brief nod. There was no warmth in his eyes, only control. "Let's talk inside my car," Suho said firmly.

No one questioned him.

They moved together toward the vehicle. Once inside, the door shut with a dull thud, sealing the space into a private chamber of truth.

Suho spoke without hesitation. "I called you here to submit evidence that proves my wife's innocence," he said, voice calm but unyielding.

"This includes fabricated evidence submitted to the police, false confession statements given under manipulation by Kang Hyunwoo, and recorded proof of the actual mastermind."

Officer Park's fingers paused mid-motion.

Suho placed the pendrive on the console between them.

"Everything is in there."

Officer Park connected it to his laptop. The car fell into silence, broken only by the faint hum of the device. One file opened. Then another. Documents. Call records. Messages. Financial transfers.

Then the video played.

Yerin's voice filled the car. Calm. Calculated. Speaking clearly about framing Hauen, about using Hyunwoo, about removing her from Suho's life.

Officer Park's expression changed. His eyes lifted slowly toward Suho.

Suho met his gaze head-on. His jaw was set, shoulders squared, every inch of him radiating restraint held together by sheer will.

"Mr. Kim…" Officer Park started, then stopped. Words failed him.

Suho's expression remained stone-hard.

He leaned forward and opened another file. "This email was sent by Hyunwoo to my personal address two days ago." His voice did not waver. "He wanted to confess everything to me. He came to my penthouse, but I wasn't there. He left and sent this email before disappearing."

Officer Park read silently.

Suho continued, colder now. "He didn't run away. He was kidnapped by Seo Yerin. When she found out Hyunwoo wanted to tell me the truth, she framed him. Twisted his visit to my penthouse into a break-in case."

He met Officer Park's eyes directly.

Suho's eyes didn't waver.

"I want three things done," he said, voice firm enough to leave no room for debate.

"First. Arrest Seo Yerin immediately."

"Second. Locate Kang Hyunwoo without delay. Alive."

"And third," his hand tightened slightly around Hauen's, "My wife, Kim Hauen, is to receive a clean chit and be publicly declared innocent."

The air inside the car felt heavier.

"And one more thing," Suho added. "Do not reveal this to anyone until Seo Yerin is in custody. I'm not taking any risks. My wife and I have already endured enough. I'm handing over this evidence because I trust you. Don't break that trust."

Officer Park nodded slowly. "Understood, Mr. Kim."

Then, after a brief hesitation, he asked carefully, "But I need to ask one thing. For the record."

Suho's gaze lifted to meet his.

"How did you obtain this evidence?" Officer Park asked. "And how did you find Mrs. Kim?"

There was curiosity in his voice. And just enough suspicion to remind them that this was still a legal battlefield.

Suho let out a short scoff.

"My wife was missing, Officer Park," he said evenly."She was kidnapped."

His gaze was unwavering.

"I wasn't sitting idle, placing blind faith in the system," he continued."I did what I had to do to find her. And I found her."

A brief pause.

"I don't owe detailed explanations to anyone," Suho added, voice calm but edged."I've handed you the truth, the evidence, and a clear path forward. Your job is easier now. Please proceed."

Officer Park's lips curved into a faint smirk, more acknowledgment than offense.

He then turned toward Hauen.

"We are sorry, Mrs. Kim," he said sincerely."At that time, I was acting on the information presented to me."

Hauen didn't respond. She simply lowered her gaze, her silence carrying the weight of everything she had endured.

Officer Park nodded once.

"Alright, Mr. Kim. Thank you for your cooperation," he said."I'll take this forward immediately."

He paused, as if remembering something important.

"There's one more thing, Mr. Kim," he added, his tone shifting. "About your accident."

Suho frowned. Hauen stiffened instantly.

"It doesn't appear to be a mere accident," Officer Park continued. "There are signs it was a planned attempt. I came across this while revisiting your wife's case."

He met Suho's eyes. "I'll update you once I'm completely certain."

Suho gave a slow nod.

Officer Park stepped out of the car along with Suho's legal team, closing the door quietly behind him.

Inside, the air felt heavier than before.

Penthouse

The car slowed as it turned inward, iron gates parting to welcome them home.

The penthouse rose ahead, familiar and cruelly distant at the same time.

Hauen's heart began to race.

This place… The same gates she had been dragged through as a criminal being taken away. The memory pressed against her chest, sharp and unforgiving. Her fingers curled into the fabric of her coat as her eyes burned, vision blurring with unshed tears.

She was back. After months of separation. After nights that felt endless. After pain that had no language.

Her breath hitched, and Suho noticed instantly. He shifted closer, his arm coming around her, firm and grounding. His thumb brushed slow circles against her hand, a silent promise.

"Hauena...," he murmured. "You're home. I've got you now."

She leaned into him, drawing strength from his presence, from the warmth she had survived on only in memories. The car came to a halt, engine humming faintly, as if reluctant to break the moment.

The door hadn't even opened yet.

And neither of them knew… That behind those familiar walls, another storm was already waiting.

Quiet. Patient. Unforgiving.
