Yun Si did not know how much time had passed when the door opened again. Several people walked into the room. They were dressed in white coats, their expressions calm and professional.
Doctors.
She watched them approach her bed, her body tensing instinctively. One of them checked the machines beside her, another examined her bandages, while a third held a clipboard and began writing notes.
"What happened to me?" Yun Si asked hoarsely. "Where am I?"
No one answered her.
A doctor gently pressed her shoulder, signaling for her to stay still. "Please cooperate," he said briefly, his tone polite but firm.
Yun Si frowned. "At least tell me—"
"Relax," another doctor interrupted calmly. "This will be over soon."
They continued with their work as if her questions did not exist. One doctor checked her pulse, another lifted her bandaged arm slightly, examining it before setting it down carefully.
