It was as if a sea of these scaly flying monsters were flying at us. From what I could see, they had scales the same color as murky water, their heads were shaped like a lizard's, and the way their wings were attached to their arms was similar to a bat's.
"What are those?" I asked as I stared up at the sky.
"Those are wyverns. This is a code red. There look to be hundreds of them, no, maybe even a thousand. There is still more coming."
They stretched the horizon as far as the eyes could see, traveling in a V shape almost like birds.
If a thousand of those scaly creatures descended on us, I don't see this vessel surviving. I was certain I could fight them off and protect myself, but I don't think I can protect the entire ship. Not that I particularly wanted to, but if I didn't then I would be left drifting aimlessly at sea again.
"We don't have a choice; we have to use it," Ethan mumbled.
