I was shocked and stared at him then back at the demon king who paused. Maybe this could work after all. I nodded too, supporting my father's words.

The demon king smiled then. "What good taste you have, there's a reason why we belong to each other after all. I'm into women too."

The moment the male voice drifted clearly through the night air, Elyn turned toward Zorathys so fast one would have thought she had been struck.


"Wait," she whispered in disbelief, "I thought they were having...differences?"

"They have been having differences," he replied flatly. "For quite a while now."


Another muffled moan echoed faintly in the distance.
