"What is going on, Elara?" Beatrice was the first one to rush to Elara.
The woman raised her hand and grabbed Elara's collar, anguish visible on her face.
"How could you do it? How could you be so inhumane as to kill a person? I know what he did was wrong on so many levels, and I never expected or wished for mercy for him, but did he really deserve to die?" Beatrice asked.
Carla stood there completely shocked about what was going on.
She might not have been in Elara's favor ever, but she knew one thing for sure. That girl would kill anyone.
But now that she saw Elara being cornered like this, she wouldn't lie that she didn't feel good about it.
Elara looked straight into Beatrice's eyes, which glinted with satisfaction and victory.
She swallowed hard, taking a deep breath.
"Let's go." Elara raised her hands to the officers, who looked at her in shock.
