Black Mask had eagerly accepted Cinco Jr's challenge. No one knows why he seemed so eager to fight him. Some think it was due to the fact that he beat him so handily the last time the faced each other that he thought it would be an easy victory.
Whatever the reason, Black Mask was so confident in his victory that he both of his titles on the line in that match. So the bout would be for the SWF International Championship as well as the SWF Universal title.
Black Mask made his way to the ring first and made his entrance as usual. However, Cinco Jr. made a totally different entrance from his usual one.
His entrance coincided with the playing of El Tigre Mask's old theme song. He also changed his costume to have a tiger motif.
"Are you mocking me?" Black Mask asked as he entered the ring.
"Mocking you? No I'm not mocking you. I'm just trying to remind you. I'm going to remind you of what this sport really means to you." Cinco Jr. answered.
"How ridiculous." Black Mask said dismissively.
The match started much as anyone would expect, with Black Mask utterly dominating his opponent. Striking, grappling, throws, holds, there seemed to be nothing that Cinco Jr. could take an advantage in.
Strangely enough, it seemed that no matter how much punishment Black Mask dished out Cinco Jr. had the same composure that he had at the start of the match.
Then, out of nowhere, Cinco landed a kick Black Mask's head that stunned him slightly. Cinco then grabbed his hand and started to tightrope walk and then went for a tornado DDT from the top rope. A move that Black Mask used to use often in his days as a luchador.
However, as he tried to bring Black Mask's head crashing into the mat, Black Mask stopped him and instead suplexed him over his head.
Cinco Jr. remained undeterred, next he managed to catch him in a Tiger Suplex and then followed it up with a release Tiger Bomb. As Black Mask was stunned against the ropes Cinco Jr. hit him with a Tiger Feint Kick.
This string of moves were all techniques that Black Mask used when he was just starting out and was known as El Tigre Mask. Cinco Jr. seemed to be making a concentrated effort to use his old techniques against him.
"What are you trying to do you fool?" Black Mask asked as he shook off the effects of the attacks and stood up to his feet.
"I'm just trying to remind you." Cinco Jr. said simply.
The fight continued with Cinco Jr. using many classic and exciting Lucha moves throughout the match. While Black Mask managed to keep the upper hand, it seemed that his moves were getting slower until eventually he stopped moving entirely.
While his movement was stopped he was an open target for Cinco Jr. who started to pile on the attacks.
"This match looks so fun! I want to fight!" A voice shouted inside Black Mask's subconscious.
"No! Be quiet, you want to win don't you? You need my power!" Another darker voice answered.
"Shut up! Let me fight him! I can't stand back when there's such a fun fight in front of me!" Black Mask shouted as the dark clouds in his mind started to fade away.
Cinco Jr. hit Black Mask with a powerful missile drop kick that put him down on the mat. As he stood back up he had a smile on his face.
"Sorry about that, looks like I've been out for a while. Don't worry I'm ready to fight now." Black Mask said with a beaming smile across his face.
"Good to see you again viejo amigo." Cinco Jr. replied.
"Sorry about that. Let's get back to business."
The two men rushed each other and exchanged punches in the center of the ring without a care for defense at all. They then went on to exchange high flying techniques back and forth.
Black Mask then ran the ropes and leveled Cinco Jr. with a vicious spear. Afterwords, Black Mask flexed his arms and roared as he started to get fired up.
The crowd, which had lost its enthusiasm over the last few months of Black Mask's brutal reign was now finally starting to get into the match. Each exchange brought the excitement level higher and higher.
Despite the new pace of the match, Black Mask maintained the upper hand in the exchanges. Eventually, Black Mask stunned Cinco Jr. and got him into the corner and the entire stadium knew what would happen next. Black Mask heaved him over his shoulders as he stood on top of the turnbuckle. It was time for his finishing move, the Execution Drop.
Cinco Jr. crashed shoulders first into the mat and Black Mask quickly covered for the three count.
"1!"
"2!"
Just as the referee brought his hand down, Cinco managed to kick out, much to the surprise of the crowd. That surprise then turned into a thunderous applause as Cinco Jr. jumped back onto his feet.
"That's amazing Cinco, I didn't expect you to get out of that one. You're really on a roll today aren't you?" Black Mask said.
"You think so? I'm just getting started." Cinco Jr. replied.
