Chapter 195 - The Great Circuit Sequence

Many years ago, long before the First Circuit War stained the history of Kael'Ar, humanity entered a period that would later be remembered as the First Circuit Awakening.

It was an era of discovery.

Humanity had only begun to understand the strange power sleeping within their bodies. Circuits awakened in different forms, producing abilities that seemed impossible by the standards of ordinary humans. Some became warriors. Others became healers, scholars, explorers, assassins, craftsmen, or rulers.

But among the countless awakened humans of that era, there was one man whose power was unlike anything the others had seen. His name was Anua Eos.

His circuit was called the All-Seeing Eye. It was both a blessing and a curse. Anua could see the future. He could see the past.

He could see the truth behind things that should have been impossible to understand, and he could perceive countless possible scenarios branching from the present moment.

Nothing could truly hide from his eyes. If someone concealed a weapon beneath their clothes, Anua could see it. If someone lied about their intentions, he could see the truth. If an attack was about to happen, he could see it before the attacker even moved.

If there were ten possible outcomes to a situation, Anua could perceive all ten. And sometimes, he saw things he wished he hadn't.

There were nights when he would wake from his sleep with his heart pounding because he had witnessed something that hadn't happened yet.

There were mornings when he would stare at his hands because he had seen the future deaths of people he loved. And there were moments when he looked into the eyes of another person and already knew what they would say before they opened their mouth.

Because of this, Anua never considered himself a typical fighter. His greatest weapon wasn't his strength. It was understanding. Still, he knew that seeing the future meant little if he couldn't protect himself from it.

So he trained. He learned martial arts. He learned how to fight with his body rather than relying entirely on his circuit. Over the years, his movements became precise enough that he could fight while simultaneously processing countless possibilities.

Eventually, Anua reached a level where he could move before an opponent consciously decided to attack but none of that prepared him for the day he saw the truth of existence. It happened during an ordinary meditation.

Anua had closed his eyes. Then he activated the All-Seeing Eye. At first, he saw the world. Then the planet, the universe….Then the countless dimensions surrounding it.

He continued looking. His vision expanded beyond what any human should have been capable of perceiving and eventually…He saw something. Something so vast that the concept of size became meaningless.

Something that wasn't merely a place. It wasn't a god, a dimension or an object, it was the source from which possibilities themselves originated. The source from which all things could exist. Anua stared at it.

For the first time in his life, his All-Seeing Eye couldn't simply observe something. It was observing everything. He attempted to describe what he saw. Nothing came out, he tried again but still nothing was said.

It was as if existence itself prevented him from speaking the truth but Anua eventually realized something. If he couldn't speak it…He could write it. So he began writing. He drew what he had seen. At first, it looked like a straight line.

From that line, countless other lines branched outward. Some became worlds, dimensions and possibilities. Others disappeared almost immediately. Anua stared at the drawing for hours before shaking his head.

"No…"

The words escaped him quietly.

"This isn't accurate."

The problem was perspective.

Someone looking at existence from one angle might see it as a straight line. Someone looking from another angle might see branches but Anua's All-Seeing Eye didn't observe existence from a single angle.

It saw everything simultaneously. Past, present, future, possibility, reality, every direction, every perspective and every potential outcome. So Anua changed his drawing. He added spirals. Then circles. Then intersecting lines.

He connected them together and began forming shapes that made no sense from a normal perspective. Some resembled impossible geometric structures. Others resembled things that reminded him of a tesseract but even that wasn't enough.

He continued drawing. Eventually, Anua gave the shape a name. The Great Circuit Sequence. It wasn't truly a sequence. It wasn't truly a circuit. It was simply the closest description his mind could produce.

Anua filled page after page with the symbol and every time he looked at it through his All-Seeing Eye, the same patterns appeared. The same structures, the same relationships, the same endless connections.

Then he noticed something that disturbed him even more. Those patterns existed everywhere. He saw them in nature. He saw them in the way a water droplet struck a larger body of water and created expanding circles. He saw them in the way waves collided and produced new patterns.

He saw similar structures in storms, galaxies, living organisms and even the formation of circuits within human bodies. It was as if reality itself was constantly repeating fragments of the same design. Anua eventually reached a conclusion.

All possibilities exist and if all possibilities existed within the source…Then everything created by that source was connected to it. Humans, Gods, Worlds, Dimensions, Circuits, Possibilities…Everything. He wrote his conclusion beneath the drawings.

We were created by the source. Then, after staring at the words for several minutes, he added another sentence. Therefore, we are the source. The discovery changed him. Some people listened when he attempted to explain it. Most didn't care. Some laughed. Others called him insane.

"There is no source."

"You're seeing patterns that aren't there."

"You're a circuit user, not a philosopher."

Anua didn't argue with them. He simply continued studying. And eventually, others began taking his writings seriously. A few awakened beings became fascinated by the possibilities contained within his theory.

They wanted to explore. Other worlds, realms and dimensions. Places that humanity had never even imagined existed. The Great Circuit seemed to contain infinite possibilities, and if that was true, then the universe they knew was only one possibility among countless others.

Years passed. Anua continued mastering the All-Seeing Eye.

Eventually, he reached a point where his perception surpassed almost every other First Circuit Being. Yet despite his power, his life became surprisingly ordinary. He married. He had a daughter and then a son.

For a while, Anua simply lived. He watched his children grow, taught them what he could, laughed with his family, ate meals with them, trained in the mornings and studied at night. For the first time, Anua began wondering whether perhaps he had been searching too far.

Maybe he didn't need to understand everything. Maybe living was enough but then his All-Seeing Eye showed him something. A journey…a distant place. Three people standing together and Anua knew he had to go. One evening, he stood beside his wife.

"I don't know when I'll return," he told her.

She looked at him for a long moment.

"Are you sure you have to go?"

Anua smiled faintly.

"No."

He paused.

"But I know that if I don't, I'll regret it."

His wife understood. She didn't try to stop him. Anua said goodbye to his children. He hugged his daughter. Then his son. He looked at them for a long moment, memorizing their faces. Finally, he turned away and left. His journey eventually brought him to two extraordinary individuals.

The first was a man standing around six feet tall. He had tall black hair and crimson eyes. He was charismatic, pragmatic and carried himself with an almost unnatural confidence. His name was Evion Vok Magnolias. The first human to wield both the Soul Circuit and Koketsu.

The second was a woman with tall white hair and blue eyes. She possessed an elegant presence that contrasted sharply with Evion's pragmatic personality. Her name was Semaki Zen Aurora. The wielder of the Pen of Creation.

The three of them stood together and then they left Planet Kael'Ar and they left their universe. They traveled beyond Heaven. Far beyond the dimensions known to ordinary beings. Eventually, they reached a realm nine dimensions above Heaven. Heaven itself existed on the thirty-sixth dimension.

What they entered was therefore something far beyond the understanding of ordinary humanity and what greeted them was not civilization as they knew it. There were no familiar cities. No ordinary inhabitants. No peaceful kingdoms.

The very environment was hostile to existence. A single wrong thought could erase a person completely. Not kill them…Erase them. As though they had never been born.

The monsters dwelling there were enormous beyond comprehension. Their bodies stretched across distances that made mountains appear insignificant. Some possessed powers that distorted reality simply by existing. Others were ancient beings that had existed long before humanity.

Anua, Evion and Semaki fought their way through them. They fought creatures that shouldn't have been possible. They fought ancient supreme gods. They survived encounters with beings whose names had become myths even among gods.

Among them was Azathoth, the Idiot God. Even Anua's All-Seeing Eye struggled to comprehend some of what they encountered but eventually…The battles ended..The monsters fell. The ancient gods were defeated. Silence finally descended upon the strange higher dimension.

Anua looked around, Evion held his ground. Semaki remained cautious. Then Anua's eyes widened. There was someone standing there. Someone who had been present the entire time.

Yet none of them had noticed him. A man…Tall white hair, Crimson eyes. He simply stood there. Anua stared at him. His All-Seeing Eye activated automatically. And for the first time…

Anua saw nothing, not because the man was invisible. Because his existence was beyond what Anua's perception could properly interpret. Then something even more terrifying happened. Their powers began disappearing.

Evion's Soul Circuit became silent..Koketsu stopped responding. Semaki's Pen of Creation ceased functioning.

Anua couldn't activate the All-Seeing Eye. The three of them became ordinary humans simply by standing near him. Anua's hands trembled. He immediately understood.

"This isn't suppression…Our abilities aren't being sealed. They simply don't have permission to exist in his presence."

The man looked at them. There was no hostility in his expression, no anger or desire to kill. He simply stood there, then he spoke.

"It is not the time for humanity to know about the Great Source."

His voice was calm almost gentle.

"It is for the later generation to find out."

And then…he vanished.

No flash, explosion or movement. One moment he existed and the next, he didn't. Anua, Evion and Semaki remained standing in silence.

None of them spoke for a long time. They had traveled beyond Heaven and had fought beings that could erase worlds. They had crossed dimensions that humanity didn't even know existed. Yet the greatest revelation of their journey wasn't a monster or a god.

It was the realization that the Great Circuit Sequence might contain far more than any of them had ever imagined. Perhaps the Great Circuit wasn't merely a source of possibilities. Maybe it contained possibilities beyond even their ability to perceive. Eventually, the three returned to their original universe.

And around that same period, the First Circuit Beings began establishing themselves. Names became legends, legends became factions, factions became nations and eventually…the fear, ambition and greed that had been growing among humanity reached its breaking point.

The First Circuit War began. The history of Kael'Ar changed forever and buried beneath that history was one unanswered question. If the Great Circuit truly contains all possibilities…Who, exactly, decides which possibilities become reality?
