She presented all the facts, evidence, and details to the Dandapāla.
The Dandapāla, who was already concerned about the sudden changes in the property marketplace, quickly took her claims seriously and decided to investigate.
He formed a special group of trusted individuals to collect evidence regarding these suspicious activities — and Tara's grandmother was included in this group.
They began tracking the movements of the tribal people and monitored their recent purchases and interactions.
To avoid raising suspicion, soldiers were sent in civilian disguises. Once enough information was gathered, they raided the tribe's settlement and interrogated them. After investigation, the truth began to surface.
Pravar: "So… you're saying the ghosts aren't real, and they are just humans?"
Tara: "It is very likely. I don't believe any bhramrakshas are haunting this town — there has been no recent death or tragic incident here for years."
Scene shifts back to Pravar in the jungle.
Pravar stands in a combat stance, alert and tense.
Suddenly, he hears the sound of a bow being drawn.
Realizing someone is aiming at him, he quickly rolls to the side — narrowly dodging an arrow.
Pravar: "What the hell!? An arrow!? That means this 'haunting' is definitely human — not any bhramrakshas!"
A shadowy figure emerges from the forest, holding a bow and wearing a terrifying mask.
Pravar: "So… it was you who shot that arrow at me."
The figure silently shakes his head.
Immediately after, Pravar hears another bow being drawn. He swiftly dodges again.
Then, multiple masked figures step out from the bushes, surrounding the path — all armed.
One of them speaks.
Bandit 1: "Look at all the gold he's wearing… he looks rich."
Bandit 2: "He definitely is."
Bandit 3: "Hey! We can't take anything from the victim — otherwise people will start doubting our fake bhramrakshas story!"
Bandit 1: "Damn it… We could have gotten much richer if we robbed these travelers too."
Pravar, completely surrounded, clenches his teeth in frustration.
Pravar (in his mind): "Where the hell are Tara and the guards… I was nearly killed twice already!"
Scene shifts back to Tara and her guards, still hiding in the bushes.
Tara (shouting in anger): "Oh my gosh!! Get up and follow Pravar right now!! He is alone out there!! o(≧口≦)o"
The guards remain frozen in fear.
Suddenly, Satyadhara, Tara's head guard, stands up.
Satyadhara: "Everyone, get up this instant! Obey Devi Tara's orders! We are Royal Guards — if we show fear, how can anyone trust us to protect them?!"
He looks at the trembling men with disappointment.
Satyadhara: "Fine! If none of you will go, I will go alone! Even if I have to fight ghosts myself, I will not bow down like a coward!"
He steps out of the bushes and charges toward Pravar.
Tara glares at the remaining guards.
Tara: "See!? He went alone! And all of you are just sitting here like cowards!"
Frustrated, Tara herself rushes forward.
Seeing her move, the guards finally snap out of their fear and follow her through the bushes.
Scene shifts back to Pravar, still surrounded.
Pravar (in his mind): "Where are they!!? I need to buy more time…"
He drops his lantern onto the ground. The oil spills and catches fire, creating a bright flame near him.
Bandit 1: "Huh? Why did he drop his lantern?"
Bandit 2: "I guess people do desperate things when they're about to die! Hahaha!"
Pravar: "This fire will draw attention from anyone nearby."
Bandit 3: "Enough of this… it's time to kill him!"
Bandit 3 leaps forward, attacking Pravar.
Pravar easily sidesteps the strike and counterattacks, neutralizing him instantly.
The bandits freeze in shock.
They realize Pravar is not an ordinary merchant — he is a trained warrior. He draws a hidden weapon from his kamarbandha.
(Kamarbandha — a traditional Indian waistband used to secure clothing and carry small weapons or tools.)
Bandit 1: "What the hell!? He's not an unarmed merchant!?"
Bandit 2: "Looks like he's not going down so easily…"
Bandit 3: "Surround him from all four sides!"
They close in, forming a tight circle around Pravar.
Suddenly, Satyadhara emerges from the darkness and shouts to distract them.
Satyadhara: "HEY!!!"
The bandits turn toward him.
Bandit 1: "Huh!? A guard? Is he with him?"
Bandit 2: "If he was, why did he arrive so late? Though… it makes sense — someone this rich should have guards."
Bandit 1: "Then how many guards does he have? Are more coming?"
Bandit 2: "I don't know…"
Meanwhile, Satyadhara thinks to himself:
Satyadhara (tense): "I hope the others are on their way… otherwise I'll have to fight them alone."
Scene shifts back to Tara and the guards, still in the bushes.
Tara: "They are in danger! We need to get out and help them NOW!"
Guard: "Forgive us, Devi… we are trained to fight enemies, not ghosts or spirits!"
Tara: "What spirits are you talking about!? Can't you see!? They are holding swords and bows — they are clearly BANDITS, not ghosts!! o(≧口≦)o"
The guards finally look properly and realize the truth.
Guard 1 (shocked): "That… that means they were fooling us!? Fooling the Royal Guards?!!"
All the guards grow furious.
Guards: "GRRR!! (〃>目<)"
Tara sighs in frustration.
Tara: "Now they suddenly care about their 'royal honor'… ( ̄_ ̄|||)"
Guard 1: "We must act quickly! Let's surround them — the archers will stay hidden and provide ranged support. Devi Tara, please remain hidden in the bushes."
Tara: "Fine… okay."
Guard 1: "Move out!"
