🚨🚨🚨Read my new story Peter Parker: Manifest Destiny.✅✅✅

(Gwen's Narration)
The thing about being Spider-Woman is… you never really stop falling.
Sometimes it's off a building.
Sometimes it's into a mistake.
And sometimes it's straight into a wedding cake in another dimension.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Let's rewind.
---
Hi. I'm Gwen Stacy.
I was bitten by a radioactive spider.
I saved my city.
Then I lost the only person who ever really saw me.
His name was Peter Parker.
And because I didn't know when to stop, because I didn't know what restraint meant back then. I killed him.
Not on purpose. Not maliciously. Just…arrogance.
For a whole year, my dad Lieutenant Stacy hunted me.
Not knowing that the person behind the mask, the person who killed his daughter's best friend… was his daughter.
So I ran. I swung. I shut everyone out.
And the city that used to sing with sound… went silent, for me.
---
Then came the day the floor ripped open.
One second, I'm fighting Doc Ock; the next, I'm falling through a kaleidoscope of colors, sound, light and nausea all fighting for control.
When I hit the ground, it wasn't my New York.
It felt off.
This place… had the what ifs. Backrub. Soda Kola.
Evrything looked just off.
And then I saw him.
A kid in a hoodie, sketchbook under his arm, nerves written all over his face.
Miles Morales.
And for a moment, I saw Peter again, the same eyes, the same curiosity, just wrapped in new skin.
---
Fate dragged me into another mess. Long story short: another Peter, another spider, another life on the line.
And when things got bad, really bad, I did what I always do.
I jumped in and saved them like a graceful badass.
But I didn't notice it.
Doc Ock was about to slice me in half when a blade of molten light cut through her tentacle.
And then I saw her.
Me.
Same face. Same voice. Same spider-symbol.
Only…. Sharper. Alive in ways I hadn't been for an entire year.
She wore armor. White and cyan blue with glowing magenta web designs. Like the future had hand-stitched her.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked.
"Who the hell do you think, sweetheart?" She shot back, smirking.
---
Before I could process the existential meltdown that was meeting myself, we were surrounded.
As we were preparing for a showdown.
Someone landed. Heavy, deliberate. A man in sleek black armor, plasma blade in one hand, futuristic gun in the other. He subdued them instantly.
The mask folded back and my breath just… stopped.
Peter.
My Peter.
The one I buried.
Only this wasn't the shy, nerdy kid from Visions.
This was a Peter who had purpose. Fire.
And when he looked at me, it wasn't with pain. It was with recognition.
Then he killed Doc Ock. And Scorpion. And Kingpin.
Efficient. Cold.
Logical.
Like he'd stopped carrying guilt a long time ago.
And honestly? It terrified me.
Then lightning struck. Literally — quantum lightning.
It split the floor, ripped the air apart and from that storm, he appeared.
My Peter.
The one I lost.
Alive again.
Armoured Peter just nodded and said, "We'll figure it out."
He made a plan to give me back my Peter and clear my name.
Said he'd play the villain "Bloodshot." Some cybernetic maniac who kidnapped Peter Parker to use him for grotesque experiments.
Made me explain everything to Aunt May, Uncle Ben and my dad.
They forgave me.
Because they believed him.
Because that Peter and my Peter gave them a reason to.
---
Time passed.
I healed.
I found myself again.
And Peter, my Peter started building.
Armoured Peter shared his tech: pinch fusion reactors, regenerative serums, nanobots and more math than my dumb brain could ever handle.
My Peter turned it into something his own.
He made it beautiful.
Next thing I know, he's accepting the Nobel Prize in Physics for stable fusion. Youngest person to receive such an honour in that field.
Guess who was crying in the audience?
Yeah. Me.
---
Then came the paper Vulture.
Yeah. Paper. Like origami meets midlife crisis.
I was chasing him through the modern art museum when another Spider-Man tackled him out of nowhere.
Metallic suit. Blue neon and red. Cape. Broody voice.
I asked his name.
He said, "Classified."
So, naturally, I called him Blue Panther.
Then Caped Blusader.
Then Dark Garfield.
He didn't laugh.
Anyway, that was Miguel O'Hara.
And his world? Like Armoured Peter's, only teeming with Spider People.
I went to join their spider society in hopes of meeting my friends and I did but the armoured Peter wasn't there.
---
Miguel's Spider-Society wasn't what I thought it was.
They didn't save people.
They preserved "canon events."
They watched people die just to keep the timeline intact.
Miles refused to play by their rules.
He said no one else should have to die just because some glitchy universe said so. Especially not his own dad.
And when he escaped through the Go-Home machine, everything went to hell.
I got fired.
So Hobie left me a patched-up watch.
Said, "Stick it to the system, love."
And I did.
I pulled the team together. Pavitr, Noir, Peni, Hobie, Peter B. Margo and even Spider-Ham and went hunting for the one person I knew could help us save Miles.
The Peter.
---
We tracked his quantum signature, opened the portal, and…
well, let's just say dimensional math isn't forgiving.
We fell.
Hard.
Right into someone's wedding cake.
Cue: screaming guests, flying frosting and one very, very angry Peter Parker.
The Spartans yes, Supersoldiers like Captain America but more numerous and way too armoured. Surrounded us with laser guns and drones before we could even apologize.
Peter just stared at us.
At me.
Then said, "Confiscate the watches. Quantum lock them. Don't let any of them move."
Gwendolyn — his Gwen — put a hand on his arm before he turned us into particle dust.
That's when it hit me:
We hadn't just crashed a wedding.
We'd crashed HIS wedding.
And if you think ruining a genius-billionaire-cyberman's first dance makes for a good impression… it doesn't.
---
But then he calmed down.
Explained how "canon events" don't kill universes unstable colliders do.
Said the Miguel's been using fear to maintain his misbegotten version of control.
"Universes collapse." He told me, "when someone takes too much not when they change too much."
And honestly? That made sense.
Now we're all in his tower — me, the other Spiders, Gwendolyn, her Peter — planning the impossible:
To rescue Miles Morales from Earth-42.
I can't stop thinking about Miguel.
Part of me pities him.
He's lost more than anyone.
But he's wrong.
And if there's one thing I've learned from the man in the armor and the woman who loves him…
It's that no one, no one gets to decide who lives and who dies in the name of fate. For existence itself is a war against fate.
---
"They're crazy, you know." Pavitr said beside me. "Building a rescue team to challenge destiny itself."
I smiled faintly. "Yeah. But they're the right kind of crazy."
And for the first time since all this started since the collider, since Miles, since Peter I actually felt… hopeful.
Because maybe, just maybe, this time…
we're going to rewrite the web.
