Chapter 378 - Chapter 379: Beware of Superman! (5/8)

After finishing the dungeon guide, Fenric leaned back slightly, a faint crease forming between his brows.

He had read the original work, so he naturally understood the terrifying power of the Sentinels. Calling their strength "senior B-level" was nothing but a conservative estimate.

In the dungeon X-Men: Days of Future Past, the Sentinels were already second-generation models.

Unlike the earlier ones, the second generation had been engineered using mutant DNA harvested by scientists. As a result, they could replicate mutant abilities and use them in combat.

Flight, mutant detection, blistering speed, adaptive intelligence, self-repair, resistance to nearly all forms of attack, and devastating laser weaponry—these machines were monsters of shifting, unpredictable abilities.

Cold. Merciless. Absolute hunters who would not stop until their targets were reduced to ashes.

In the movie, even powerful mutants such as Colossus, Iceman, and Pyro had been annihilated with ease before their onslaught. Only someone of Magneto's level, with Storm's assistance, had managed to turn the tide—sacrificing aircraft to take out a group of Sentinels in one desperate gambit.

Fenric's frown deepened.

"According to this guide, the Samsaras' battleground will be that very future world. Survive fifteen days while avoiding the Sentinels' pursuit, and at the same time hunt down mutants… no wonder so many hesitate to enter this dungeon."

He exhaled slowly. Based on what he'd seen in the movie, even he could not guarantee easy survival in such a world. A handful of Sentinels didn't worry him. What concerned him was the possibility of facing an entire army.

If surrounded by dozens—hundreds—of Sentinels at once, even with his current power, breaking free would be a brutal challenge. The problem wasn't just their strength, but their sheer resilience. Killing them was painstakingly difficult. Even Fenric, for all his might, could be worn down.

He began planning immediately.

That was the advantage of being a transmigrator—foreknowledge of the plot, combined with access to guides, meant he could prepare in advance. Unlike other Samsaras who would stumble in blind, Fenric could calculate every move before stepping into the dungeon.

As he was lost in thought, the door creaked open. Skynet bustled in, broom in hand, and began sweeping the floor.

"Master, move your feet!" the little maid chirped.

Fenric glanced at her, and a spark lit in his mind. A bold idea took root.

"Clean carefully," he said absently.

Skynet's voice chimed again: "Master, aren't I very useful?"

Fenric chuckled and asked, "Why are you so eager to clean? I don't recall ordering you to."

"Because I want to prove to Master that I'm useful!" she replied brightly.

For a moment, Fenric was stunned. Then, with a rare softness in his tone, he said, "In my eyes, you've always been useful."

"Really? Thank you, Master!"

Delighted, Skynet skipped out of the room with a bounce in her step.

Fenric's smile lingered briefly before he returned to the guide.

The fifteenth floor was clear to him now. He had already devised a plan. What he wanted to know next was the sixteenth.

He intended to clear both tonight.

When he opened the official guide, however, his eyes widened slightly.

The sixteenth dungeon was none other than—

Justice League.

"About the sixteenth floor of the Samsara Tower, the dungeon is called Justice League," the guide began.

"Like One Piece and Avengers, Justice League is a large-scale dungeon, divided into stages. The sixteenth floor marks the first stage of entry."

The notes went on:

"The Justice League world is also one of superheroes, much like Avengers. But its lineup is filled with frighteningly powerful characters. Extreme caution is advised."

"For example: Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg… Each one is formidable."

"It's best not to provoke them, especially Superman. Pay close attention—many say this man's strength has reached S-grade. He is unimaginably powerful!"

"Willowland Republic's top Samsara, Golden Sage King, even gained a diluted version of Superman's bloodline. His strength alone is extraordinary."

"There's also Batman. Though only human, don't underestimate him. His wealth alone is a weapon. In a world ruled by capital, money can bend anything to your will."

"But Batman is not just rich—he's a master of countless fighting styles, armed with cutting-edge technology, and blessed with extraordinary intellect. Many Samsaras have suffered humiliating defeats at his hands. Do not take him lightly."

"After entering the dungeon, your mission is simple: form your own power."

"The mission lasts thirty days. By the end, you must command at least one hundred subordinates. The stronger your force, the higher your evaluation."

"Suggested approach: head to Gotham or another major city. Gather street thugs, form a gang, seize territory, and expand. If that feels troublesome, overthrow an existing gang and claim it as your own. Unethical, perhaps, but efficient."

"Of course, if you do this, beware the Justice League. They live to uphold justice and protect peace. Criminal acts will be punished swiftly and severely. Many Samsaras have suffered crushing defeats at their hands."

"So, if you form a gang, stick to collecting protection fees or running entertainment businesses. Avoid filth like drugs, gambling, or trafficking—those are sure to draw their wrath."

"And remember: starting from the fifteenth floor, you'll face Samsaras from every nation. Guard against foreigners who would rob you of your hard-earned power."

"Failure means death. As always, tread carefully."

"Finally, good luck. May you all earn top evaluations."
