Chapter 537 - Chapter 536 – The Black Energy Sphere

"Light of Orion!"

Cain gazed toward the direction of Orion. Streams of light rich with immense power descended upon both him and Guardie, whom he held in his arms.

Without the aid of a Light Particle Converter, a faint glow still began to emanate from Guardie's body.

The icy chill caused by the earlier strike to his chest gradually dissipated under the illumination of Orion's light.

"Has it… been successfully neutralized?"

Watching this scene, Cain froze momentarily in disbelief.

Then he saw it—Guardie's paw twitched slightly.

"Guardie, Guardie!"

Seeing movement at last, Cain immediately called out to him.

"Woof…"

Guardie's golden eyes slowly opened. Upon seeing Cain, he let out a weak whimper.

Yet the light of Orion continued to pour steadily into Guardie's body.

Seeing this, Cain gently patted Guardie's head, then released his hold, allowing Guardie to float freely in the vacuum of space.

Starlight flickered as light particles within Guardie's body worked ceaselessly—repairing, restructuring, evolving.

Golden arcs of electricity appeared from nothingness, coursing across Guardie's body.

At Guardie's chest, a radiant heart of pure light slowly manifested.

"This is… a Heart of Light!"

Having witnessed the birth of many Giants of Light, Cain immediately recognized what that glow represented.

What shocked him was this—

A monster possessed a Heart of Light.

"So, it's not just humans… even monsters can become light?"

Cain stared intently at the golden arcs racing across Guardie's body.

A monster becoming light—this was something he had never imagined.

Ordinarily, monsters stood opposed to humanity. Peaceful coexistence was almost unheard of.

Of course, Guardie—the guardian lion-dog beast—was an exception.

Even so, Cain never expected Guardie to be directly transformed by the light of Orion.

"Could it be… Guardie can also become a Giant of Light?"

"But he's a monster! Can monsters truly become Giants of Light?!"

Cain found it difficult to believe that a monster like Guardie could evolve into a Giant of Light through Orion's light.

Yet the scene before him shattered all conventional understanding.

The golden arcs on Guardie's body accelerated, and the brilliance of the Heart of Light reached a dazzling peak.

Amid the blinding radiance, Guardie's figure seemed to grow larger.

"He's getting bigger?"

Shielding his eyes from the glare, Cain carefully observed the changes.

Guardie did not transform into the form of a Giant of Light. Instead, his body simply grew somewhat larger.

The rest remained unclear due to the overwhelming brightness.

When the light finally faded, Cain clearly saw the result.

Strictly speaking, there was little change—except for one thing.

On Guardie's chest now rested a blue Colour Timer, shining like a sapphire.

This gemstone-like timer signified that Guardie had been successfully transformed—or rather, evolved—by the light of Orion.

"The light of Orion doesn't just evolve humans… it can evolve monsters as well."

Cain was still deeply shaken.

However, he understood one crucial point:

Only monsters with a Heart of Light could be evolved by Orion's radiance.

Monsters without a Heart of Light were no different from humans without one—they would never be chosen by the light.

"Woof!"

After completing his evolution, Guardie fully awakened.

Seeing the blue gem on his chest, Guardie barked excitedly and immediately leapt toward Cain.

Cain happily caught him. Despite his massive size, Guardie still behaved like a puppy—clingy and affectionate.

"Guardie, you've gotten really heavy."

Laughing, Cain lifted him, clearly feeling the increase in weight.

Boom!!!

At that very moment of joy, a tremendous explosion echoed from Earth.

Cain turned his gaze toward the planet shrouded in darkness, utterly unaware of what had occurred on its surface.

Hearing such a sound even from space—regardless of how sound could travel through a vacuum—filled him with unease.

...

Cain's departure had no impact on the battlefield between the Giants of Light and the Dark Giants.

The Dark Giants who had been surrounded were successfully rescued by Hudra and the others, breaking out of the encirclement.

Although some Dark Warriors were sacrificed, they had taken many Giants of Light down with them.

Bodies of Giants of Light were piled across the ground—those whose deaths were caused merely by energy exhaustion.

Others were nowhere to be seen, having been completely dispersed into light particles, their very existence erased.

"Frontal charge!"

Even though some Giants of Light had fallen, they still held a numerical advantage over the Dark Giants.

Against fewer enemies, the most direct tactic was head-on confrontation—overwhelming them through brute force.

"Charge!"

"Erase the darkness!"

"Wipe them out!"

"Avenge our comrades!"

"..."

Seeing their companions lose their light one by one and fall to the ground, the Giants of Light were already blinded by rage.

Upon receiving orders, they charged straight toward the Dark Giant army.

In addition to the frontal assault, Yulian dispatched a team of Giants of Light to carry out a flanking ambush.

"If we defeat Tiga first, we'll achieve twice the result with half the effort!"

That was Yulian's judgment.

Indeed, it was the optimal strategy. Sooner or later, Tiga would inevitably enter the battle.

If the Giants of Light were gradually worn down and only then faced Tiga, total annihilation would be their only outcome.

But if Tiga could be defeated first, not only would the Dark Giants lose a powerful combatant, their morale would collapse.

Victory without battle.

The Dark Giants and Giants of Light collided once more. The battlefield erupted into chaos, beams of light constantly firing in all directions.

Yuzhou stood calmly at a distance, observing the situation. Should anything go awry, he was ready to intervene.

Camearra had already joined the fight, leaving Yuzhou alone at the rear.

Suddenly, Yuzhou swung a punch behind him.

Crack! A red beam shattered instantly.

Slowly turning around toward the source of the attack, Yuzhou let out a cold laugh.

Ahead of him, a group of Giants of Light charged forward, energy spheres in their hands, beams already being charged.

"A sneak attack is a good idea," Yuzhou said calmly, darkness gathering in his palm,

"but you're seriously underestimating me."

With a casual flick of his hand, the condensed black energy drifted slowly toward the charging Giants of Light.

"What is that?!"

The leading Giant of Light stared at the black energy sphere in confusion.

"Get back! Don't rush in!"

A Giant of Light who had witnessed this black energy before shouted urgently, ordering everyone to scatter.
