Above R'lyeh
The final territory where the Dark Giants still existed lay upon the plaza platform of R'lyeh.
This was originally the site where the Light Particle Converter had been installed. Even now, darkness lingered heavily in this place. Should anyone enter it, they would still be influenced by the corrupted converter and be transformed into a Dark Giant.
More than a hundred remaining Dark Giants were stationed here, awaiting the return of Great General Ang Cheng.
But it was already too late.
With a thunderous boom, the Light Particle Converter shrouded in darkness was shattered by a sudden beam of light.
The Dark Giants looked up toward the sky—only to see that they had been completely surrounded by an army of Giants of Light.
"This is bad!"
"We've been encircled!"
"There's no way out—let's fight them to the death!"
"Attack!"
With no retreat possible, the Dark Giants unleashed their strongest finishing beams, firing them toward the Giants of Light in the sky.
However, the number of Giants of Light was far greater. They too began gathering their energy, releasing beams toward the Dark Giants on the platform below.
Boom!!!
The collision of light against light ignited a violent struggle.
The Dark Giants' beams were inferior in both number and power.
Within seconds, the combined beams of the Giants of Light crushed through them with overwhelming force, completely swallowing the Dark Giants' attacks before detonating across the platform.
The deafening explosion, blazing fire, and massive shockwave blasted the Dark Giants away, sending them crashing onto the ground one after another.
Some attempted to flee, but the Giants of Light had already formed an airtight net in the sky. Escape was impossible.
After this single beam clash, the Dark Giants—already few in number—were reduced even further, with only a little over ninety remaining.
"Still these many lefts. Finish them all," one Giant of Light said coldly to the figure beside him—Cain—before ordering the surrounding Giants to charge their beams again.
"…Very well."
Cain showed clear reluctance, but could only nod.
This Giant of Light was newly transformed—General Gantu, subordinate to Great General Ang Cheng.
Originally, Cain had commanded this battle. However, King Ord had transferred authority to Gantu and ordered Cain to obey his commands.
Looking at the severely injured Dark Giants on the ground, Cain clenched his fists tightly.
Not long ago, these Dark Giants had been his soldiers—his comrades.
"Guardie, don't attack this time," Cain said softly, as if sighing, to the creature beside him.
"Woof…"
Guardie, sensing the heaviness in Cain's voice, let out a low whine and gently patted Cain's back with its paw in comfort.
In the sky, the Giants of Light completed their charge. Their beams merged into one and fired downward toward the platform.
This time, the Dark Giants did not attempt a beam clash. Instead, they jointly raised an energy barrier, hoping to block the attack.
The fused beam struck the barrier head-on.
But the moment it made contact, the barrier's energy plummeted sharply.
After barely five seconds, spiderweb-like cracks spread across the shield.
With a crashing sound, it shattered and dissipated into the air.
"It's over…"
The Dark Giants stared helplessly as the beam descended, despair filling their hearts.
At that critical moment, a black beam of light shot forth, striking the descending fused beam directly.
Boom!
The instant the two energies collided, a violent explosion erupted, flames filling the sky.
The Dark Giants on the ground stared upward in shock.
Meanwhile, the Giants of Light in the sky were thrown into chaos—several were blasted down by the sudden explosion.
"What's going on?!"
Both sides—light and dark alike—were stunned by the appearance of that black beam.
What kind of power could shatter a beam released by so many Giants of Light?
And why did it appear at such a decisive moment?
"What exactly is happening?"
General Gantu muttered, staring toward the direction from which the black beam had been fired as the flames faded.
Then he froze.
Not only Gantu—every Giant of Light fell silent upon seeing that figure.
Including Cain.
"Mas—Master?!"
Cain's heart was filled with shock and confusion.
His master had appeared on the battlefield.
But had his master not said he was sealed within the Dark Temple, unable to leave?
Then why now—
More importantly, Cain had clearly seen it: his master had dispersed the Giants of Light's attack and saved the Dark Giants.
Cain felt a sense of relief at not having annihilated his former kin.
Yet the meaning was unmistakable.
His master stood on the side of the Dark Giants.
"Tiga!"
"It's Tiga!"
"Why is Tiga here?!"
"Wasn't he sealed in the temple?!"
The Giants of Light erupted into alarmed shouts.
All Giants who had undergone proper transformation knew the name Tiga.
From his first appearance to his eventual sealing within the temple—every member of the defense corps was aware of it.
This knowledge, however, was limited to those within the official organization.
Figures like Ammon, lord of Fuhuo City, who had secretly transformed through Keshiva's connections, lay outside the Earth Defense system.
Such Giants of Light had never participated in the war between light and darkness.
To Ammon, the power of light existed for one purpose alone—to hunt Melba.
This Giant of Light, who specialized in killing Melba, gradually became known across Earth as a "wild" Giant of Light.
Aside from Keshiva, no one knew his identity.
Keshiva had granted Ammon that opportunity only to repay a favour—Ammon had once saved Camearra.
Leaving the Giants of Light aside—
On the ground, the Dark Giants erupted into excitement upon seeing Tiga.
"Tiga!"
"So, this is Tiga!"
"The first Dark Giant of Earth!"
"We're saved!"
Having escaped death, the Dark Giants—embodiments of darkness—shed their former cold indifference.
The fervour carved into their very bones burst forth at this moment.
After experiencing despair and death, even Dark Giants could feel reborn.
"Don't panic—he's just Tiga!"
General Gantu shouted, asserting command over the Giants of Light.
"They're far fewer than us! Everyone, attack together—destroy Tiga now!"
