Chapter 521 - Chapter 520 – Masaki? Cain?

Bang!!!

Cain didn't expect it — his long-unseen master threw a punch straight at him, sending his body crashing into the corridor walls adorned with carvings.

Sliding down to the floor, clutching his chest, Cain was in disbelief.

His master… attacked him?!

"Master, it's me! I'm Cain!"

Thinking the master didn't recognize Cain's giant form, he quickly explained.

"Master, I've become a giant too!"

"Hehe he… I don't care who you are." Cain was startled to hear his master speak, but the voice sounded strange, distorted. "Intruder in the Temple… die!"

"What?!"

Cain froze, then looked at Guardie and scrambled to his feet.

"Guardie, come here!" he shouted, extending a hand.

Something was off with Master Tiga!

Guardie, sensing Cain's alarm, rushed over.

A black energy blade erupted where Guardie had been, scorching the Temple floor with a trail of smoke.

"Don't struggle. Once inside the Temple… you won't leave alive."

Cain's master approached step by step, and Cain grew tense.

Guardie, though scared, boldly bared its teeth and shielded Cain.

"Master… it's Cain, Cain!"

"Master… don't you remember me?"

"Look, I've become a giant! I resemble you!"

Cain kept shouting, panic rising.

His master's strength was overwhelming — even a single attack could severely injure or kill him.

All Cain could do now was try words and actions to resist.

"Resemble?"

"Your form…"

"Ah!"

Examining Cain closely, Yuzhou suddenly clutched his head in pain.

Blood-red flashes flickered in his eyes before returning to milky white.

The coloured timer on his chest shifted from purple back to blue, though intricate purple lines remained, web-like.

"Cain… Cain, Masaki!"

Shaking his head, Yuzhou searched his memory and retrieved a name.

"Who's Masaki? No… Master, I'm Cain!"

Seeing Tiga stabilize, Cain spoke quickly.

"No, you're Cain, not Masaki!"

One hand still on his head, the other pointing, Yuzhou insisted.

"Yes, yes, yes, I'm Cain, not some Masaki!"

Cain nodded, relieved.

"Cain!" Finally, Yuzhou was fully aware again. "You've become a Light Giant!"

"Yes, Master! I'm a Light Giant now!"

Cain, seeing Yuzhou fully conscious, beamed.

"By the way, I met Guardie in the Dark Realm — he'll be my battle partner from now on!"

Cain introduced Guardie to Yuzhou.

"Guardie… you met him too?" Yuzhou was surprised to see the dog-like monster beside Cain. He nodded slowly. "So much has happened…"

"How long have I been here…"

"And… how did you become a Light Giant?"

Yuzhou asked, puzzled. How did a Super Ancient Light Giant come to be?

Though Camearra, Hudra, and Darramb became giants, they were Dark Giants, and hadn't explained the process.

"It's like this," Cain began, recounting events from being taken by the Dark King, to the search for crystal materials, the Plasma Spark Tower, Orion's Light, the upgraded Light Particle Converter, and the emergence of Light Giants.

And it wasn't over — Yuzare still sought to increase the Light Giants' numbers to counter the darkness.

"So Camearra and the others became Dark Giants this way…"

Yuzhou realized.

Yet their full transformation came when Cthulhu unleashed the dark energy storm.

Darkness corrupted Camearra, Hudra, Darramb… and nearly all the dark energy-consuming Tiga as well.

Being awakened by Cain was coincidental.

Yuzhou's clarity was temporary; the darkness could claim him again soon.

"Master… what exactly happened inside the Dark Temple? Why were you there?"

Cain relayed the external events, then asked about Yuzhou's time in the Temple.

Yuzhou recounted everything honestly while conscious, ensuring communication before darkness returned.

"You defeated the Dark King?!"

Cain was astounded.

The Dark King… such a being was defeated by his master? Incredible!

"I might scream out loud!" he thought.

"I defeated the Dark King, but it didn't vanish — it escaped," Yuzhou shook his head. "However, sealed by the star positions, it cannot leave the Temple. Its hiding place is unknown."

"That's a relief… it can't invade the continent directly."

Cain breathed easier. If the Dark King appeared, the entire continent would fall.

Of course, with Yuzhou here, things were different.

"But now, dark monster incursions outside are increasing," Yuzhou continued. Though the Dark King was defeated, its minions grew more aggressive — something Cain couldn't comprehend.

"It must be the Dark King's orders," Yuzhou analysed. "When I defeated it, it released two streaks of light — some kind of signal."

Even with the seal, the dark streaks were unaffected.

Yuzhou surmised the King used residual dark energy in the Temple to transmit the signal, like a phantasmal proxy, not the original power.

"Master… then come back with me. Let's save Earth from this darkness!"

Cain was ecstatic. With Yuzhou's power, repelling the dark invasion would be easy.

"Cain, I cannot leave yet," Yuzhou shook his head.

"I've absorbed Cthulhu's essence. The star seal restrains me. I cannot leave the Temple."
