Hell
Sorcerer Ancient One's robes flapped in the Hellish winds, the ground beneath her feet continuously spewing lava, and countless demons surrounded her, each wanting to tear the Sorcerer Supreme into pieces.
"The wound you left when you banished me back to Hell two hundred years ago…" A Hell Demon licked his lips, his voice making the ground tremble, "Now it's bleeding with a desire for revenge."
With that, large groups of demons charged out, each bearing a deep-seated hatred for Sorcerer Ancient One.
Seeing this, Sorcerer Ancient One slightly closed her eyes and sighed softly, "It's time for this to end."
As she spoke, a emerald green magic rune appeared on Sorcerer Ancient One's fingertip. This rune burst forth with a light like the Sun, and countless threads surged from the rune, strangling the first wave of demons.
This was in Hell; when demons were killed, they would turn into pure energy, returning to the cycle, effectively ceasing to exist.
With the death of the first wave of demons, many demons suppressed their restless hearts, waiting for Sorcerer Ancient One's next move, and… the Hell Lords' actions.
Sorcerer Ancient One's actions were equivalent to a direct challenge; if the Hell Lords did not respond, their prestige would undoubtedly diminish.
The Hell Dimension is very special, composed of countless dimensions, with each Hell Lord ruling a separate territory.
And when Ancient One's magic illuminated the entire Hell, one Hell Lord finally couldn't sit still.
"Ancient One, you truly are still vigorous," Mephisto said, seemingly praising, but his tone was full of sarcasm.
Human lifespans were far too short compared to demons… Sorcerer Ancient One understood this, but she didn't care.
"Enough to kill you will suffice."
Sorcerer Ancient One said dismissively. She had now cast aside all burdens, focusing all her being on battling the Hell Demons.
More words were useless; the mere racial opposition could lead to a fight to the death between Ancient One and Mephisto, not to mention all the wicked deeds Mephisto had committed on Earth.
"Just a frail old human," Mephisto said disdainfully, two balls of Hellfire in his hands. At the same time, he shouted loudly to provoke the Lords lurking in the shadows.
"If you still don't act, it just means you're afraid of Ancient One, this human."
"Hmph, I don't need you to meddle in my affairs." Accompanied by a cold snort, Marduk, the Hell Lord with three goat heads, appeared beside Mephisto.
At the same time, countless flies gathered to form a rough human outline; he was Beelzebub, among the Hell Lords, representing gluttony, a true Ghost King.
"Ancient One, you could have enjoyed your later years peacefully. Why venture into Hell? It's not worth it."
"You will never understand." Sorcerer Ancient One's words were brief. She concentrated her final power into one point, using all her life force to fuel this last strike.
"In the name of Vishanti!"
An unprecedentedly giant sword of light appeared in Sorcerer Ancient One's hand. This sword was composed of countless golden threads and radiated the aura of light most abhorred by demons.
This was the 'Vishanti's Sacred Sword' released with all of Sorcerer Ancient One's might; the residual power of this magic, when unleashed by Sorcerer Ancient One, could kill large numbers of demons.
Golden light illuminated Hell, the three great Hell Lords were swept into the golden torrent, and countless demons vanished as the golden light dissipated.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Kamar-Taj.
Clang—
A bell suddenly rang in this sacred place of magic, and all the sorcerers who were practicing spell gestures or reading books looked up at the sky, as if they had realized something.
Two lines of clear tears flowed from Wang's eyes, "The Sorcerer, she's gone…"
"Sorcerer Ancient One?" The 'apprentice' Stephen Strange also looked up at the sky; he seemed to see a kind face there.
Sadness filled Kamar-Taj, but amidst the endless sorrow, there were also different voices.
Before long, a figure began to move among the many grieving sorcerers.
"We cannot continue like this. With the Sorcerer Supreme dead, many demons will certainly take advantage of the void. We must adjust our state, strengthen the defenses of the three nodes, and not let the demons find an opportunity."
The person speaking was Mordo, one of the most talented among the sorcerers, who at a young age had already surpassed most elder sorcerers.
Mordo's emotions grew more and more impassioned, and many sorcerers cast hopeful gazes upon him.
"We need to elect a new Sorcerer Supreme!"
Mordo's voice echoed through Kamar-Taj, his eyes filled with ambition, as if he already saw himself becoming the Sorcerer Supreme and leading Kamar-Taj into a new era.
However, Strange, who hadn't been in Kamar-Taj for too long, didn't pay attention to these words; he even found them a bit noisy.
"What's all this noise about?"
At the same time, another person with the same thought as Strange appeared.
Eller, who had no magic and was currently receiving the power of the Time Stone, walked onto the plaza and saw Mordo passionately lecturing.
Mordo also noticed this bewildered Guardian. He looked at Eller and asked:
"Guardian, do you support me becoming Sorcerer Supreme, just like everyone else in this plaza?"
Eller paused slightly, and then Wang walked over to him and whispered in his ear:
"Sorcerer Ancient One has just passed away."
So, Sorcerer Ancient One was entrusting her final affairs? Eller thought to himself, and at the same time, his gaze met Mordo's, and he said bluntly:
"No, you are too weak."
Eller didn't think Mordo's desire to become Sorcerer Supreme immediately after Sorcerer Ancient One's death was excessive, after all, Earth greatly needed a Sorcerer Supreme.
But Mordo's potential had reached its limit; his power was insufficient to support his ambition.
"You!" Mordo was momentarily speechless, then changed the subject, turning to question Eller:
"Then without a Sorcerer Supreme, how do we contend with the Hell Demons? Protect humanity, Guardian, don't hold humanity back on this matter!"
"It's simple." Eller smiled faintly, spreading his arms and saying confidently, "Wouldn't it be fine if I became Sorcerer Supreme?"
A Sorcerer Supreme without magic?
A Strange thought appeared in the minds of the sorcerers; they looked at Eller in surprise, but he merely silently tore open a dimensional rift.
The other side of the rift was the Hell Dimension. Eller confidently stepped into it, four-colored light swirling in his eyes.
If the Sorcerer Supreme's departure would make the demons restless, then another large hand would press down on their heads, telling them that there was a powerful existence on Earth who could kill their entire family.
Sorcerer Supreme is just a title; what truly matters is the ability to protect everyone.
