I had ignored my father's calls all day. Even yesterday, when he called, I pretended I could not hear his voice and disconnected.
Until the children were found, I knew I would not have peace.
Early in the morning, Lady Vivian texted me that there had been a strange argument between Iris and Kash. It was not explosive, but it was deeply uncomfortable.
She even said that by evening, the situation would worsen to the point that if she asked Kash to take me to dinner, he would agree.
That meant I had to speak to my father before he called Kash and asked why I was ignoring him.
"Hello, Dad," I answered when he picked up, acting as if nothing was wrong.
"Why have you not been answering my calls since yesterday?" he demanded almost immediately.
"I was not feeling well," I replied, getting out of bed and standing in front of the mirror.
I was not bad-looking. I had been pampered since childhood, always told that no one was more beautiful than me.
