"How bad is the damage?" Nicole asked, eyeing the operators.
"Very bad! Not only does their cosmos defense system have an incredible rate of fire, but each fired shell carries an enormous payload!" One of the operators replied, her voice shaking.
"The Immortal Legion has truly transformed Jupiter into their own impregnable domain. If things keep up like this, the force shields of our spaceships will fracture long before we reach our destination!"
BOOM!
The colossal spaceship groaned under the pressure, starting to tip toward one side.
Left with no other option, the drivers of the ships directed the majority of their power output into maintaining the force shields.
Understandably, the sudden change in power caused the lights to dim. The gravity pull was similarly affected, causing many of the passengers on board to be flung to one side.
"For fuck's sake, the way things are going, the majority of our fleet will be wiped out before we reach them!" Esmeralda cursed bitterly.
