Seongji Yuk walked down the stairs. Bodies were littered around him. He stepped over them and finally reached the ground floor.
He took a quick glance around. No enemies were here.
"Hm? It's over? Good."
Seongji stepped out of the building. His hand hadn't even left the door handle when a loud horn burst his eardrums and blinding headlights stunned his eyes.
A red and white ambulance rammed into him. Several more ambulances followed from behind.
"Die, motherfucker!"
Seongji cursed. "Shit!" He reflexively pulled out the whole door and shielded his body with it. The impact sent him flying back as the door absorbed the force and scattered into pieces.
Seongji balanced himself and landed on his feet, but the momentum made him skid backward.
"We smashed it all on him! Head over there and check!"
"Even he won't be able to do much against that! I'm sure he's flattened to death!"
Several Workers members rushed out of the ambulances. Their excitement turned to disbelief as they saw their target still standing.
Seongji Yuk's eyes glinted green as he grunted and threw away the broken briefcase. He clutched the red paper and looked up. Hundreds of bikes surrounded him.
"You guys are?"
---
A Rolls Royce coursed through the road. Four men sat inside the car.
Gongseob Ji clasped his hands. "Amitabha. This car is too crowded. That's why I asked you to donate this in the name of Buddha."
Taesoo Ma didn't glance back and continued driving.
Seokdu Wang asked, "Why are we going to Seoul?"
Jichang Kwak answered. "The mastermind behind Baki's arrest should reveal himself tonight. Or else, the Red Paper will be presented to the media. I'm sure by now he's already sent his men to get the Red Paper. We have to get him tonight. This will be our chance!"
Taesoo Ma pressed the brake hard. The car skidded before it came to a stop.
"Fucking Avalokitesvara!" Gongseob Ji cursed as he held himself from flying forward.
Seokdu and Jichang were also caught off guard. Jichang asked, "What happened?"
Taesoo Ma pointed at the black sedan before him. "Someone's blocking the road."
Jichang cracked his neck. "I guess they're coming for us. Let's see how they plan to welcome us."
Everyone got off the car. Jichang stood at the front, followed by Taesoo Ma, Gongseob Ji, and Seokdu Wang.
A dark-skinned man with shaved hair and tattoos on his face got off the black sedan. He walked to the other side and opened the door.
A man sat inside the car. He wore a black leather jacket over a red shirt with white stripes. A black belt with a silver buckle held up his blue jeans. Dark brown boots covered his feet. Shadow covered his face.
Jichang's eyes widened. He wasn't just shocked. Fear showed in those eyes.
The others noticed Jichang's reaction. Gongseob Ji asked, "What happened? You know him?"
Taesoo Ma and Seokdu Wang turned to Jichang with questioning gazes. They could feel that Jichang was uncomfortable. But they couldn't understand why. The Jichang Kwak they knew would never react to something like this. After all, he was Seoul's White Viper.
The man got off the black sedan and revealed his face. A ferocious smile appeared on his face.
"Four kings... This is going to be tasty. Way tastier than I thought!"
Jichang muttered, "King of Seoul... Eldest son of the legendary fist, Gapryong Kim. Kitae Kim! Is he the man behind all this...?"
The others heard him.
"Fist gang...?"
"King of Seoul...? So he's the one?"
Jichang's expression turned serious. "It seems that we won't be able to help Seongji. Tonight might get bloody."
---
Seongji Yuk stood among hundreds of bodies. They lay around him, groaning. He clutched the red paper tightly. Blood covered his body, but none of it was his own.
He turned as he heard a bike engine roar. A young man sat on the bike. He had yellow spiky hair and black eyes. The young man seemed surprised. "You defeated all of my boys? I can't let that slide. After all, I am their leader. The leader of Biker gang Kagiroi."
Ryuhei got off his bike and grabbed his sword. Chains wrapped around it. Yuseong and Mandeok followed behind.
Seongji looked at the three of them. His eyes glinted green as he adjusted his grip on the red paper and tucked it into his jacket. "Why are you kids after this red paper?"
Ryuhei unwrapped the chains from his sword. The metal made a sharp sound. "It's a trade secret." He spun the chain once. "Can you hand it over."
Seongji shook his head with a bitter smile. If he could, he wouldn't fight these kids. But there was nothing he could do if they pushed his boundaries.
The chain whipped through the air. Seongji shifted his weight and caught it with his left hand. His six fingers closed around the metal links. Ryuhei's eyes widened as he tried to pull back, but the chain didn't move.
"What the hell? He just caught it bare-handed?"
Seongji yanked hard. Ryuhei stumbled forward, and Seongji's right fist drove into his stomach. The air rushed out of Ryuhei's lungs. He doubled over, and Seongji's knee came up to meet his face. Blood sprayed from Ryuhei's nose as he flew backward and crashed into his bike.
"Shit, that hurt! I felt that all the way through my skull!"
Yuseong moved before Ryuhei hit the ground. He pulled his cap down and closed the distance fast. His fist aimed for Seongji's jaw, but Seongji tilted his head and the punch grazed past. Yuseong's other hand came up in a tight hook. Seongji blocked with his forearm, and the impact sent a shockwave through both of them.
"Even though his frame is small, his punches are heavy."
Yuseong's eyes narrowed. He threw a rapid combination. His form was terrible but his speed was frightening. Seongji weaved between the first three, blocked the fourth, and ducked under the fifth. He grabbed Yuseong's extended arm with both hands and pulled him close. Seongji's forehead smashed into Yuseong's face. Yuseong staggered back with blood running from his eyebrow.
Mandeok charged in from the side. His massive frame covered ground quickly despite his size. He launched into a spinning kick. Seongji raised his arm to block, and the impact drove him back two steps.
Mandeok followed up with a straight punch that whistled through the air. Seongji slipped to the side and drove his fist into Mandeok's ribs.
"You still want to fight?"
The big man grunted but didn't back down. He wrapped his arms around Seongji. The grip would have crushed a normal person's spine.
Seongji's muscles hardened. His eyes glinted green as he flexed against the hold. Mandeok squeezed harder. His face strained with effort. Seongji brought his hands up between Mandeok's arms and spread them apart with raw strength. The hold broke, and Seongji grabbed Mandeok's wrist with his right hand. His six fingers dug into the joint. Mandeok's face twisted in pain as the bones began to grind together.
"Impossible! He broke my grip like it was nothing!"
Ryuhei came back swinging his chain-wrapped sword. The weapon cut through the air in an unpredictable arc. Seongji released Mandeok and stepped back as the sword passed inches from his face. The chain extended the weapon's reach, and Ryuhei used the momentum to keep it spinning in continuous attacks.
"He is just one man. We have to keep the pressure on! Sooner or later, he will reach his limits!"
Seongji ducked under one swing and sidestepped another. The third caught him across the shoulder, and the chain bit into his skin. Blood welled up, but his expression didn't change. He caught the chain on the next rotation and pulled. Ryuhei held on this time and used the tension to launch himself forward with a flying knee.
Seongji twisted and took the knee on his side instead of his head. The impact pushed him back, but he maintained his grip on the chain. He yanked Ryuhei past him and released the chain at the last moment. Ryuhei stumbled and rolled across the pavement.
"Damn it! He's reading all my moves!"
Yuseong attacked again. A smile had appeared on his face, but it was covered as he pulled his cap down once more. His movements were faster now and carried more weight behind them. He threw a low kick that Seongji blocked with his shin, then immediately followed with a spinning backfist. Seongji leaned away, but the fist clipped his cheek and split the skin.
Seongji's eyes flashed blue. He surged forward faster than Yuseong expected and drove a palm strike into his chest. Yuseong's feet left the ground, and he flew back ten feet before hitting the pavement hard. He coughed and rolled onto his side.
Mandeok came at Seongji with a combination of boxing punches. His technique was clean despite his size. A jab tested the distance. A cross followed. Then a hook aimed at the body. Seongji blocked the first two and took the hook on his forearm. The force rattled his bones. He stepped inside Mandeok's guard and grabbed the bigger man's hips with both hands. He lifted Mandeok off his feet and slammed him into the ground. The pavement cracked under the impact.
Mandeok's vision blurred for a moment. His back screamed in pain where it had hit the cracked pavement.
Ryuhei scrambled to his feet and unwound more chain from his sword. He attacked from a different angle this time. He used the chain to create openings for the blade. The wood cracked against Seongji's ribs, his shoulder, his thigh. Each hit drew blood, but none of them slowed him down.
"He isn't slowing down at all. I heard he is a king from the 1st generation. But for him to be this strong? I didn't expect it."
Seongji caught the sword between his palms on the next swing. Ryuhei tried to pull it free, but Seongji's grip held firm. He twisted the weapon and ripped it from Ryuhei's hands. The chain unwound and clattered to the ground. Seongji tossed the sword aside and stepped forward. His fist crashed into Ryuhei's jaw and dropped him to one knee.
Yuseong got up with blood dripping from his mouth. Mandeok pushed himself off the cracked pavement. Ryuhei spat blood and stood on shaky legs. The three of them looked at each other, and something shifted in their approach.
They moved together this time. Mandeok grabbed Seongji from behind in another crushing hold. He pinned Seongji's arms. Yuseong came in low with a kick to the knee while Ryuhei retrieved his sword and aimed for Seongji's head.
"Hold him just a little longer! I'll finish this!"
Seongji's eyes glinted red. His muscles swelled with unnatural strength, and he broke Mandeok's grip like it was paper. He grabbed Mandeok's arm and threw the massive man into Yuseong. Both of them crashed to the ground in a tangle of limbs. Ryuhei's sword came down, and Seongji caught it with one hand. His six fingers wrapped around the blade, and he crushed it. The wood splintered and cracked under the pressure.
"No! Berserker!"
Ryuhei stared at his broken weapon. Seongji's fist took him in the chest and launched him backward into a parked car. The door caved in from the impact, and Ryuhei slumped to the ground unconscious.
Yuseong extracted himself from under Mandeok and charged again. His attacks came faster and with better timing. He used Mandeok's size to his advantage. He forced Seongji to split his attention between the two of them.
Mandeok grabbed for Seongji's legs while Yuseong attacked from above. Seongji jumped and drove both knees into Mandeok's face. The big man's nose shattered with a wet crunch. Blood poured down his face as he stumbled backward. Seongji landed and immediately pivoted to catch Yuseong's punch. He twisted the arm and heard the elbow pop. Yuseong's face contorted in pain, but he didn't cry out.
Mandeok wiped blood from his eyes and came forward again. He threw a desperate combination of strikes. Seongji blocked, dodged, and countered. His fist sank into Mandeok's stomach with enough force to lift him off the ground. Mandeok gasped and fell to his hands and knees.
Seongji came towards him. "You guys are strong. But this is adults matter. You shouldn't involve yourself in it."
Mandeok tried to push himself up, but his arms gave out. He collapsed face-first onto the pavement.
Yuseong tried one more time with his good arm. He put everything into a final punch aimed at Seongji's temple. Seongji's eyes glinted red as he shifted his weight and drove his fist forward in a counter-punch.
The two fists met in the air between them. Yuseong's arm bent at an unnatural angle, and he flew backward through the air. He hit the ground a few feet away and didn't get up.
Seongji lowered his fist and looked at the three unconscious fighters. His breathing was steady, and sweat mixed with the blood on his clothes. He pulled the red paper from his jacket to make sure it was intact.
The paper was fine. He tucked it away and started walking. His footsteps echoed in the quiet street as he left the broken bodies and shattered bikes behind him.
