After adding the sand and mixing it up with the clay, Serena turned to Theo and stated, "I need you to pour a bowl of water over the clay. Make sure it's one at a time and stop when I say so."
"Got it." Theo nodded his head in understanding, moving to the bucket of water with a small wooden bowl in it already.
Serena then turned to Finn and said, "You and I will alternate with mixing the clay. I want to get a feel for it first and show you what to do, but then you'll take over."
"Understood." Finn responded.
Honestly, she would've been fine doing it herself, but considering Theo's intendancies towards her doing physical labour… Well, it was better to nip that fight in the bud.
Plus, doing it himself would be the best way for Finn to learn. Just standing around and watching them was not really going to cut it. He needed to know how the clay felt to get it right when he tried it for himself.
Granted she wasn't exactly the expert either.
