Chapter 111 - breakfast 2

"hello besties from today on i will be posting chs on alternate days .i am really sry for that but pls try to understand and happy lohri to everyone šŸ’—šŸ’—"

he kitchen had never seen peace.

Not once.

Eman walked in like a man on a mission, sleeves rolled up, apron tied perfectly, hair still neat despite the early hour. The man owned restaurantĀ

This kitchen scared him.

"Alright," Eman announced, clapping his hands once. "Breakfast. Proper breakfast. No chaos."

From the doorway, Adam gasped. "He said the forbidden word."

Jay followed Eman in, tying her hair up, already scanning ingredients. "Ignore them. Just tell me what you need."

Eman's eyes lit up in pure relief. "Eggs. Bread. Vegetables. And please—please—keep them out."

Too late.

Samuel was already poking the dough.Michael was spinning a whisk like a weapon.Adam had somehow found flour and was drawing a smiley face on the counter.

Jay turned slowly.

Very slowly.

Her smile was sweet.

Too sweet.

"Out."

Adam blinked. "Out… as in—"

Jay pointed toward the door. "OUT."

Samuel tried to reason. "jayy, we were just—"

Jay grabbed a spoon. "One more word and this spoon becomes airborne."

They scattered.

Flour flew.

Michael slipped.

Adam screamed dramatically, "I'VE BEEN BANISHED—"

Eman, holding his wooden spoon like a sword, chased after them. "DON'T TOUCH MY KITCHEN—COME BACK HERE—"

The door slammed.

Silence.

Jay exhaled.

Then laughed.

Keifer leaned against the counter, arms crossed, watching the whole thing with an amused smirk. "You know, most people use words."

Jay shot him a look. "Most people don't raise idiots."

He stepped closer, grabbing a knife, effortlessly starting to chop vegetables. "Need help, wifey?"

She raised a brow.Ā

"I can do everything," he said smoothly. "Especially multitask and flirt."

He leaned in, voice low. "You look dangerously cute threatening people with a spoon."

Jay rolled her eyes but smiled. "Careful. Compliment me more and I might make you wash dishes."

He grinned. "Worth it."

They bumped shoulders, moved around each other with an ease that made it obvious—this wasn't new. This was rhythm. Muscle memory. Quiet intimacy.

From the doorway, mica peeked in. "Can we come in or are we going to die?"

Jay waved them in. "You're safe. For now."

Mica, Rakki, Freya, and Grace followed, instantly crowding around.

Freya sniffed. "Smells good."

Rakki leaned on the counter. "So… London tonight."

Everyone paused.

Jay nodded. "Flight's at midnight."

Mica whistled. "On a commercial?"

Keifer answered casually, "Jet."

Silence.

Then—

"OF COURSE IT'S A JET," Cin yelled from somewhere outside.

Breakfast turned loud, messy, warm. Plates clinked. Chairs scraped. Someone stole bacon. Someone got stabbed with a fork (lightly).

After eating, the living room transformed into chaos again.

"Never Have I Ever," Cin announced, already holding a glass. "Played this with criminals."

Jay sat cross-legged on the rug. "Lower your standards."

They played.

Lost.

Laughed.

Then came the head-move game.

Jay immediately positioned herself behind Section E like an evil coach.

"Left," she whispered to Cin.

Cin moved left.

Aces groaned.

Jay smirked, then ten seconds later whispered to david, "Right."

david won.

samuel narrowed his eyes. "jay !!!You're cheating."

Jay blinked innocently. "you all are to predictable!!!!"

Keifer chuckled, chin resting on her head. "She does that."

Percy narrowed his eyes. "You're enjoying this way too much."

Keifer smiled sweetly. "I always enjoy chaos when it's wearing my hoodie."

Jay looked down.

Paused.

"…When did I steal your hoodie?"

Keifer blinked. "You tell me."

Jay looked down again. Oversized black hoodie. Watson crest on the sleeve. Very much not hers.

She smirked. "Finders keepers."

Aries groaned dramatically. "I leave for FIVE minutes and she's already wearing his clothes."

Percy joined in, throwing himself on the couch. "Bad baby sister behavior. Extremely disappointing."

Jay kicked his leg. "You stole my snacks yesterday."

Percy gasped. "ALLEGEDLY."

Cin suddenly jumped down from the table. "NEW GAME."

Everyone groaned.

Cin ignored them. "Head-move game. Winners get control of the snacks."

That got attention.

Jay sat up instantly. "I'm in."

Keifer frowned. "You're dangerous."

Jay patted his cheek. "Relax. I'll help you win."

She leaned over, whispering instructions like a crime boss.

Keifer followed.

Won.

Cin stared. "No way."

Jay then immediately leaned to Adam. "Left."

Adam won.

She leaned over to him. "Also, your left is predictable."

He leaned closer. "So is your heartbeat when I do this."

He brushed his thumb over her wrist.

She slapped his hand.

Blushing.

"Disgusting," Percy muttered fondly.

Angelo stood up, stretching. "We're leaving before this becomes illegal."

Rafael nodded. "Try not to burn the house."

Ion smirked. "Or each other."

Tiger waved. "Don't miss the flight."

They left them laughing.

Suddenly—

CRASH.

Adam knocked over a bowl.

Snacks everywhere.

Absolute anarchy.

Cin dove for chips.Percy tackled Michael.Samuel shouted "TACTICAL RETREAT" while stealing cookies.Rakki screamed, "THOSE ARE MINE—"Mica jumped on the couch to avoid crumbs.

Jay stood up, hands on hips. "ARE YOU ALL FIVE YEARS OLD?"

Silence.

Then Adam slowly raised his hand. "Mentally? Yes."

Jay sighed deeply. "I swear I fake my death ONCE and this is the society I come back to."

Keifer laughed, pulling her back against him. "You love them."

She muttered, "Unfortunately."
