As Lin Chen breakthrough from foundation establishment peak to the fake pill realm he sensed the slight fluctuations in the depth of the valley. Though it was very subtle but it was noticed but Lin Chen through the resonance of the devouring physique.
Lin Chen stood up the aura around him converging to his body. "There seems to be fluctuations of the devouring in the deep of the valley". As he thought of it, Lin Chen immediately sensed the direction the fluctuations are coming from.

"Lin Chen ?, he went in that direction to bury the people who died". The disciple immediately answered that he did see Lin Chen carrying the disciples to a side and pointed towards the direction where the rocks were covered and can hide anything.
Wei Kun who saw the oppurtinity immediately ran towards the place as soon as possible so that he can kill Lin Chen in that place. And he can use the rocky area to kill him and shift the blame easily.
As Wei Kun reached the hidden place he saw that Lin Chen exuding the aura that of the fake pill realm expert. Then he saw Lin Chen stood up and started moving in one direction very quickly.
Wei Kun immediately followed Lin Chen, "Just wait, Once you reach the depth that will be your burial place". As he thought about killing Lin Chen,Wei Kun couldn't help but feel excited.
LinChen who was quickly heading towards the direction of the place from where he sensed the subtle fluctuations of the Devouring force, also found that some one is following him.
LinChen didn't stop but quickened his pace. As he released his spiritual sense to find who is following him he saw that it was Wei Kun. He also understand that Wei Kun wants to kill him at all cost.
"Its seems we have to deal with Wei Kun before we are heading to the place where Devouring fluctuations came from". Thinking of this he immediately used the phantom void step.
As LinChen used the phantom void step his figure became blurry, leaving only the phantoms of him behind.
Wei Kun who was following was shocked at first but he also immediately used his body movement technique but still couldn't catch up with LinChen until LinChen disappeared from his sight.
When Wei Kun was feeling frustrated and annoyed and cursing LinChen for being cunning. He suddenly sensed a huge threat from above him. His hair stood up and he quickly dodge to a side.
The ground where Wei Kun standing before burst open by the power of the attack which came from above. Wei Kun looked up only to see, LinChen standing on the sword howering in void, his clothes fluttering by the wind.
"LinChen, I thought I missed the chance to kill you but didn't expect you to come back, hahaha". When Wei Kun saw LinChen he couldn't help but laugh.
LinChen didn't say anything but only gathered the spiritual energy in his hand and slapped in towards Wei Kun.
"Void shattering palm". As LinChen gestured an illusory palm of spritual energy condensed in the air and went straight to Wei Kun.
Wei Kun didn't dare to be negligent as he saw the power contained in the palm strike is comparable to a middle golden core realm attack. He mobilized his energy and used the sword to strike the upcoming palm.
Boom!
As the sword energy and the palm collided a deafening roar can be heard. When the two attacked collided they cancelled each other and the recoil force pushed LinChen and Wei Kun both 10 steps back.
"I didn't expect you to come up with this level of attack. But if you have only this then you can only die here". Wei Kun who was sent back by attack immediately started gathered energy in his sword and immediately unleash a more powerful attack.
"Wind cloud sword!" As the sword attack was released the air from surroundings hissed. As it become sharp and can slice through skin.
LinChen who saw this attack immediately unleashed the phantom void step with all his strength and his figure become blurry. As the wind sword energy struck him it passed through his body and he vanished.
"After image!" Wei Kun exclaimed. He then begun to use the sword energy in the surrounding to attack the shadow of LinChen but every time he struck the sword it went pass through him which means he only attacked the after images.
"Void shattering palm!"
As Wei Kun was having a difficult time finding the real LinChen. A cold chilling voice came from behind him. Before he could react he was send flying and samshad to a huge boulder.
LinChen who saw that Wei Kun was injured immediately pursued the victory. He used the phantom void step and immediately came to Wei Kun and again used the void shattering palm.
Wei Kun who was smashed to a huge boulder and fallen to ground just stood up, only to see the incoming palm and again send flying and after getting samshed to two three boulders he finally slid down. This time wei Kun was seriously injured.
LinChen started moving towards him step by step until he reached to Wei Kun. Wei Kun who saw LinChen showing deep killing intent started to beg for mercy but LinChen didn't listen.
LinChen picked wei kun by grabbing his neck and saw him struggling and said coldly, " from the movement you showed your killing intent you are listed as dead by me. Since you have killing intent towards me I have to kill you today no matter what, to avoid future troubles".
After that LinChen broke wei Kuns neck and used the Devouring Scripture to strip his spiritual roots and absorb it. As the Devouring Scripture started working a black vortex immediately appeared above his head.
The spiritual root which is of earth rank 7th grade wind spiritual root immediately drawn into the vortex and was merged into the existing wind attribute spiritual root upgrading it to earth rank 9th grade.
The spiritual energy was refined and went directly to his dantian. Allowing his aura to advance towards the golden core realm.
