The newly claimed Hive 22, now called Axis by its new masters, had undergone a drastic transformation in a matter of days. A massive, steel-reinforced concrete wall now crowned the coastline, bristling with powerful Coastal Defensive Batteries and deadly Megaparticle Cannons. Topped with a healthy sprinkle of many other things.
Even below the waves, in the cold, dark waters were patrolled by Zeon's most advanced underwater mobile suits and several Zeon submarines, turning the hive into an unbreachable stronghold.
A soft knock came at the door of my office.
"Commander," Jean's voice announced as she entered. Her posture was always military-perfect, even when delivering good news. "The UN and the Japanese government have sent a message regarding possible negotiations."
I stopped tracing a battle plan on the large digital screen, a faint, satisfied smile touching my lips. "Mhm… Finally," I murmured, leaning back in my leather chair. "Tell them we agree to meet. We'll talk terms."
"Understood!" she replied, snapping a sharp salute before turning to leave.
I returned to my paperwork, the image of my enemy's frantic attempts at communication making the dense documents almost bearable. The clock was ticking.
"Heh, time for the fun part."
UN Headquarters, Tokyo
Inside the UN headquarters in Tokyo,
"So, they've agreed to negotiate with us… Good, sigh, Very good." a harried UN officer muttered, wiping his brow.
"Don't worry your little head over it," a cool, confident voice cut in. Kouzuki Yuuko walked into the room, a smirk playing on her lips. She was one of the Japanese Empire's fiercest and most politically dangerous assets. "I will be conducting the negotiation."
The UN officer swallowed hard. "Just… don't mess up, Yuuko-san."
Said girl merely scoffed, already thinking three moves ahead.
Three days later… Axis
I stared at my reflection, adjusting the lapels of my slick, deep-green Zeon officer's uniform. The gold linings glinting under the lights of my ready-room.
I then turn my body, looking over my shoulder and inspecting myself on the mirror. "Hmmm. I think my ass juts out too much." I whisper to myself.
A moment later, i was back at the mirror, now wearing a red cape with pauldrons with small, actual golden chains hanging.
"Damn i look good." i say, my smirk widening. I then tilt my head to the side.
"Jean, my girl. I want five Zudahs with me, and a squad of Dodai heavy transport craft ready for immediate deployment." i spoke into the small hidden microphone on my collar.
"Understood, Commander," Jean's voice crackled over the mic. "I will have them ready before you leave."
"Good. Prepare my Gaw." i say, taking a few final looks in the mirror and smoothening the creases on my clothes.
"Understood Ma'am!"
After doing a quick stretch, i leave my room. Heading out of the command building that was partially built into the original Hive superstructure.
I then boarded the car waiting for me and headed toward the newly repaired and upgraded airport runway, which has been severely upsized, and could now easily accommodate multiple Gaw's and support planes that were definitely not the surviving planes that were captured from the attack.
As we pass the checkpoint, i look out of the window of the car. And then i saw it. My smile widening. "You sweet ugly bastard."
There it sat parked on the concrete besides the runway on standby. The massive Gaw that i myself, customized to my liking.
The car stopped in front of the Gaw the front doors wide open, the ramp already lowered down with a pair of royal guards standing by it.
I step out of the car, my boots making loud footsteps on the concrete as I approach.
"Commander, the Gaw is ready," a one of the guards reported. "May you have a safe flight Ma'am"
I nodded in acknowledgement. "Alright, let's move out." I then tilted my head to gaze at the name that was printed to the side, as per my request. "Titan." i whispered the name, i then smiled to myself as i stepped onto the boarding ramp and into the cavernous interior of the massive flying carrier.
After boarding, the hydraulics whined as massive front doors swing closed.
"Tower this is Titan. Requesting for take-off," the pilot's voice confirmed over the comms. Pulling levers and flipping switches.
"This is Tower, Titan you are cleared to take off. Safe travels. Sieg Zeon!" the control tower replied.
With a deep roar of its massive engines, it lined up with the runway. Then a moment later, a brilliant blue jet of flame fired from the exhausts as the afterburners kicked in. It started to accelerate, the massive flying fortress lifting off the reinforced asphalt and into the air.
The landing gear folded in, setting a course for Japan.
Japanese Airspace, Control Tower
"Sir, we have detected, something massive. Trajectory suggests it's from Hive 22." the Air Traffic Controller staff manning the Radar reported.
A Japanese Commander leaned in to see. The massive green blob on the Radar.
"My god it's massive." He whispered, "Contact them—it must be the foreign delegation." The Japanese Commander ordered.
"Understood." The operator hailed the incoming aircraft. "This is tower, IFF Titan please respond. This is Japanese Airspace. State your purpose."
"This is the Titan. We hail from Zeon, confirmed carrying the ambassadors for the negotiations. Requesting landing coordinates," the Zeon pilot's voice crackled back through the radio.
In the control tower, the Operator end the Commander turned their heads to look at each other.
"How the fuck do we even find somewhere for it to land." They both said in unison, blinking in confusion for a moment and then sighing.
"I'll clear the entire airport." the operator said, giving an announcement to clear the airport and park the planes.
After that whole debacle the operator cleared his throat before speaking.
"Ehem. Copy Titan. You are clear to land at designated zone three-two-alpha."
"Copy that, i see it." The pilot replied, turning the joystick and tilting the massive aircraft.
It lined up in a clearing on the airport. Where a Squad (12) of TSF's (Tactical Surface Fighter) were awaiting it's arrival.
Said TSF's were split in two neat lines, in a crisp stance holding their weapons and a flag of the UN and Japan. In the middle of it was a black Limousine, and inside were a few important figures.
Inside, sat the genius scientist Kouzuki Yuuko, her assistant Misa, and a Japanese Ambassador.
"I wonder how something so big and fat can achieve flight." Misa murmured to herself as she watched the titanic Gaw approach. Misa looked down at her tablet, which was connected to the optics of the TSF's. Already scanning every visual detail about it. Any bit of information helps with the unknown.
Yuuko tilted her head to lean on the window. Her breath fogging the glass. "Well… give a brick enough power and it could fly." Yuuko then straightened her posture, fixing the pens on the breastpocket of her lab coat. "We better go meet them. Misa, stay here."
"Hai Sensei." Misa nodded in affirmation as Yuuko opened the door and stepped out, the Japanese ambassador following after.
Yuuko and the ambassador stood as they watched the approach of the Gaw, a hatch on the root of the wing opening up, revealing the VTOL jets, it simultaneously closed off the exhaust of the Thermonuclear Jets and redirected them to the VTOL system, making the massive aircraft slowly descend.
The massive aircraft's wheels touched down on the concrete with a brief "skkkrt." Once settled, it began to power down it's engines, the constant whine dying down.
The transport ramp of the Gaw groaned open, not to reveal a simple landing party, but to showcase a brazen display of Zeon's might. Five menacing AMS-119 Zudah mobile suits, each a testament to Zeon's superior engineering, stood on the ramp, frozen in a dramatic pose calculated to assert immediate dominance. Their hands holding huge wooden staffs that holds the flag of Zeon proudly.

A hatch on the roof of the cargo bay opened up, and a platform with small jets at the corners slowly lowered down, and on board was Veriline, standing straight and one hand on her hip, and a almost smug face on her lips as she and a pair of guards flanking her descended.
When the platform landed in front of the assembled Zudah's, Veriline stepped off and out of the Gaw to meet the opposing party.
"I am Veriline, the Sovereign of the Principality of Zeon!" I declared, my voice ringing with absolute confidence. "Pleased to meet you all." I say, my tone a tad bit lower as i bow slightly, i gotta atleast look friendly.
"Miss Veriline, we welcome you to Tokyo," the Japanese ambassador said, his face fixed in a welcoming, if strained, smile as he approached.
"Thank you for having us," I replied, matching his smile with one of my own. We shook hands before walking toward the limousine.
Kouzuki Yuuko stepped forward before I could reach the car. "I am Kouzuki Yuuko. It's nice to meet you, Miss Veriline." Her handshake was firm and professional.
"Likewise," I said, releasing her hand.
She immediately turned her attention past me, her eyes lingering on the massive mobile suits and the squad of Zeonic soldiers accompanying them.
"Such wonderful technology, isn't it?" I asked, in a almost bragging manner, putting a hand on my hip, i threw a discreet sideways glance over tk her, anticipating her reaction.
"Yes, it is," she conceded. "Much more powerful than our TSF's certainly, but perhaps less agile and certainly a larger target."
I felt a flash of irritation—an unexpected prick of the ticklish feeling that meant she had offended me. Less fast? Oh, I would enjoy seeing her precious TSFs burn.
"Really? Is that so?" I asked, tilting my head ominously, my smile turning brittle.
"Ladies," the ambassador interrupted, sensing the sudden spike in tension. "Shall we continue this inside her Imperial Majesty's palace? After all, there are treaties to be negotiated."
I nodded, stepping into the car. The game had begun.
Meanwhile, back at Axis…
"I want all designated Mobile Suits armed and ready! Now! The Commander's signal is imminent—Operation Hive Assault 21 is on standby." Jean roared through the intercom of the base.
With that order said, mechanics, engineers and pilots scrambled around the base. A flurry of activity suddenly spiking.
After her announcement, Jean then walked deeper into the fortress, reaching a elevator.
She pressed the button and waited for a moment, then the telltale ding sounded, the doors sliding open revealing a Zeon pilot on the elevator.
Jean entered standing besides the man that was taller than her.
"Is the team ready?" Jean asked, almost casually, fixing the collar of her uniform.
"Yes, ma'am. The 1st Gouf MS Team is ready." the pilot replied, his thumb rubbing over the emblem on the helmet he's holding.
"Good. After the negotiations are finalized, your team will head toward South America to gather intelligence and destroy any research regarding mobile suit technology." Jean's eyes narrowed as she turned to look up at him. "This is of the highest level of secrecy. Fail, and you bring weakness to Zeon. You know what happens after that." Jean said in a menacing tone, almost threatening.
"Understood," he replied, his face grim with determination as he straightened his posture.
The elevator dinged, signaling that they had arrived at the correct floor.
Jean and the pilot stepped out of the elevator, the pilot continuing on as Jean leaned over a railing looking at the operations down below.
It was a absolutely massive cavern, originally a chamber dug out by the BETA to collect water, now it served as Axis's submarine pen.
Speaking of which. Down below on the massive pool of water, multiple Jukon Class, the Late Production types were docked in their pens, and nearby were multiple Mobile Suit hangars and elevators, moving to ferry Gouf's down into the cavern.
Jean leaned over more, seeing the tiny people run around the facility, a small proud smile splitting her lips.
"Heh, nobody could expect this." Jean muttered to herself before turning away.
As Jean left, and the pilot climbed into his blue-lined Gouf. On its shoulder, a fierce wolf's head was painted above the words: Midnight Fenrir Corps. And, on the Conning Tower of the submarines, the same wolf head was painted.
The Imperial Palace, Tokyo
"I welcome you, the Sovereign of the Principality of Zeon." The Japanese Empress offered a formal greeting, to which I returned a subtle smirk and a curt bow.
"Thank you for having me, Your Majesty." I say, my voice sweetening slightly.
"Now then, shall we get down to business?" Kouzuki Yuuko said, her tone all business as she sat down on the big round meeting table.
"Of course." I walked to my designated chair, flanked by my own ambassadors and legal team, and sat across the table from the Japanese delegation.
"Now then," I began, making a precise cutting motion with my hand. "First: We demand to be recognized as an independent, sovereign nation."
"That can be done, b—" a government official started, but one of my ambassadors smoothly cut him off.
"We already possess all the essentials for recognition—a defined flag, name, territory, and stable government. We believe this is agreeable." His professionalism silenced the backlash, forcing nods from across the table.
"Second," the ambassador continued. "We demand no UN intervention within our country or its territory. No UN troops, no oversight, nothing." This caused a visible ripple of anger, but my ambassador deftly deflected all arguments.
"Third, and most importantly, we will not exchange our mobile suit technology."
This demand caused outright outrage, with cries about the necessity of humanity standing together against the BETA.
"This is outrage!" a old senator yelled, slamming his fist on the table.
"Don't you care about the real enemy!? The BETA is our enemy. Any advantage in technology must be shared with the world." A Military General said. His hands waving for emphasis.
Meanwhile I maintained a serene expression, listening to the noise, knowing my first three goals were secure. My subsequent demands—including the utterly ridiculous request for all of Japan's oil—were merely cover, ensuring the negotiations dragged out and ended with the key terms accepted.
Finally, it was their turn.
"We only require your cooperation," a Japanese official stated, his voice low and tired. "Like sending support in the fight against the BETA. You can keep your technology; we just need your manpower or supplies."
The rest of the ten-hour negotiation was a blur of my ambassadors working. I simply sat, looked pretty, and occasionally offered a sharp, cutting remark.
The final treaty was signed. We achieved our first three demands. In return, they received no technology from us, but secured a modest oil trade—only 50 tons instead of the 100 they'd originally wanted—along with a few other minor resources. It was an absolute, undisputed win.
"Now just sign here please." the ambassador said, slipping the papers onto my desk.
"With much pleasure." I say, my grin wide… too wide.
"Ver-Line~ there we go"
The moment the ink was dry, I gave the order.
Axis
"I want all mobile suits up and moving now! The operation is a go!" Jean shouted, her voice echoing across the entire base as pilots scrambled to their machines.
"Ma'am! All the Gaws are ready for launch!" a technical officer reported crisply, the roar of activated engines already drowning him out.
Jean simply nodded, her face alight with the grim excitement of a commander on the eve of conquest. The diplomacy was over. The war was beginning.
