She stared at him for a long moment.
Then she sighed, her shoulders dropping, her whole body softening.
"Alright. But I'm going to take a break first."
"You could at least ask me if I'm okay with you leaving when I'm not done with you."
She looked at him. Blinked once. Then her lips twitched, something between amusement and exasperation crossing her face.
"Alright," she said slowly. "Can I please go to the toilet?"
Liam smirked. "You're allowed."
She looked at him for another moment, her expression flat. Then a small smile tugged at the corner of her lips despite herself.
She shifted her weight to her left side, her right hand pressing into the mattress beside his shoulder for balance.
Then she lifted her right leg up and over him, her knee brushing against his hip as she moved. Her foot found the floor first, then her other leg followed, and she pushed herself up to standing.
