Liam stood in front of the apartment door, his fingers curling around the strap of a small cloth bag.
He shifted his weight, his heart thumping against his ribs. He had been thinking about this all day.
He heard the slide of a deadbolt and the click of the handle.
The door swung open to reveal Kelly.
She looked like she had just been lounging, dressed in gray, form-fitting sweatpants that hung low on her hips and a white crop top that ended just below her ribs.
She didn't even have time to say hello.
Liam stepped forward, his hand reaching for the back of her neck.
He crashed his lips against hers, catching her by surprise.
Kelly let out a muffled gasp, her eyes wide for a split second before she melted into him.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, her tongue meeting his in a messy, desperate swirl.
Liam kicked the door shut behind him without ever breaking the kiss.
