Liam laughed. He kept his wet fingers where she had to look at them. "Nothing to say, Elsa? You always have a comeback. Guess the truth's too loud right now."
Elsa's breath hitched, but she didn't crumble. Instead, she planted her palms against his chest and gave him a firm shove. It wasn't enough to knock him over, but it was enough to create space.
She wiped a stray strand of white hair behind her ear, her face still flushed a deep pink.
"Don't get ahead of yourself, Liam," she said, her voice regaining some of its edge even if it was a bit breathless.
She looked down at the floor, then back up at him with a look that was half-daring and half-embrassed. "You're right. I can't stop thinking about it. But I don't think you can handle someone like me."
Liam arched an eyebrow, standing straight and crossing his arms.
