I lay on my side of the bed turning my back from him and he did same.
The space between us felt even more heavier than the silence.
My chest ached terribly cos this is our first fight since we found our way back to each other and we were lying here...…. turned away.
Tears slid quietly down my face, soaking the pillow.
I hated this....
All I wanted was to catch up with a friend... to collect a gift for Lorenzo.... Not this mess... not this pain.
My heart pulled towards him so hard. I wanted to turn and crawl into his arms like I always did.
But I didn't.....
Not after what he did...…
Not after how far he went.....
If this was going to work at least he had to know I wouldn't accept that side of him.
Still...…
God..... I missed him.
Then I felt it…..
His arm slid slowly around my waist obviously scared I'd pull away.
He drew me closer and gently turned me until I was facing him out foreheads touching.
His eyes were heavy with guilt.
