"So it's you…"
The man's gaze darkened.
"The war hammer witch of Musutafu."
Tsumi frowned. 'I told them not to call me that…' she thought while frowning.
'Anyways, that doesn't matter right now.'
She took a quick glance at the environment, noticing the countless people behind her.
'So this is the power of his quirk. How then did I break out of it?'
From the start, she had not been fully under his control. She still had a little semblance of self when her body acted on its own, and she had been struggling ever since up until his slap broke the trance.
'He said it was due to his nightmares… Does that mean all the dreams I had been having were because of this man?'
Her frown deepened, her grip on her hammer tightening.
"You're an asshole, you know that?"
Orion's face hardened. "You have a sour mouth. I see why they call you a witch."
His words pierced right through her heart, but Tsumi maintained her composure.
"Let's just get this over with…" she said, lifting her hammer.
Orion jumped down from the car and smiled. "Look around you witch, all these people are already under the effects of my quirk. What do you think that means for you?"
Tsumi shrugged.
"That arrogance!" Orion snarled. "I'm going to wipe that smug look off your face!"
Suddenly, energy began to flow into him, a shimmering blue smoke like streams flowing towards his body from every single person in the area.
'I see… he is using their energy to empower himself.'
The energy swirled around Orion, enveloping him in a violent shining mist, his eyes glowing blue.
"Come on witch, I'll teach you some manners!"
Vwhoosh!
The energy shot up into the air, and then it twisted, mending with Orion. The once foggy steam gained colour and shape, limbs were formed and a head with several eyes burst forth.
Now, standing before her was a ten foot tall demon, with multiple arrays of horns, six glowing eyes and a maw that when open was filled with countless swirling shadows.
And Orion was within the monstrosity.
She narrowed her eyes as the behemoth took the first step.
It smiled. "Welcome to your nightmare!"
Tsumi scoffed. 'Since his powers are dream related, it's probably just an illusion—'
Bang!
She immediately jumped back, evading the fist as it slammed into the floor, shattering the pavement.
'I see…'
"Alright, since you don't want to say what you're here for, I guess I'm going to beat the answers out of you."
Tsumi spun the hammer in her hand and then charged right at Orion.
The hammer met the muscular fists with a heavy explosion that sent the winds cutting past them.
Vibrations went through her arm, the superior strength of the monstrosity nearly too much for her.
So she twisted her body, the fist cutting past her face as she closed the distance between them.
Orion growled, slashing his free clawed arms at her midsection. But before he could land the hit, Tsumi jumped, her every movement graceful as she flipped over the arm…
Her war hammer glinted with a bright nefarious light, just as she brought it down on his head.
Bang!
The shadows gave way, muscles rippling apart as the hammer dug into Orion's beastly skull.
He screamed as he staggered back, his arms flailing by his side.
"Is that all you've got?" Tsumi said in an unimpressed tone, her hammer creating sparks as she dragged it on the pavement, cat walking towards the hulking nightmare.
"Damn you witch!"
Skrrrr!
Countless black tentacles tore out of Orion's body, each one layered with needle-like spikes.
"Tch!"
Bang!
Tsumi slammed her hammer into the first tentacle, shattering it into a wave of shadows.
She darted to the side, just as another one nearly took her legs off, and then leaned backwards, a spike cutting through her cheek, drawing blood just before speeding past her.
Tsumi was already moving back to her standing position, when a colossal tentacle hovered over her, coming down faster than any tentacle had previously moved.
She gritted her teeth, firmly planting her feet on the floor, then she took a deep steady breath.
Meanwhile, Orion's beastly head had fully regenerated.
He lifted his hand, commanding the colossal tentacle to move even faster. "Looks like it's time to die!"
Whoosh!
As the tentacle came down with all its might, patterns of golden light began to spread through Tsumi's hammer.
And those lines moved down the handle and kissed her fingers, spreading the circuits throughout half of her body.
Her blue eyes were bathed with a hint of gold, her muscles pulsing with strength.
She pulled her hammer back, and then unleashed a hellish blow aimed right at the tentacle.
BOOM!
The two forces collided, creating a shockwave that cut through the area. Tsumi's hammer pushed deeper into the nightmarish tentacle, her muscles contracting, her jaws clenched hard.
It was like trying to stop a train with a blow, only her blow was several times more powerful.
But still, it didn't make it easy—
Crack!
Micro fractures began to form on the tentacle, spreading round its body like shattered glass, and then it burst apart, in a bright flash.
Tsumi heaved a breath. Sweat had caused her hair to clump to her face, and her hands were shaking from having used so much force.
'He's strong…' she mused as she stared at Orion.
It was clear that destroying the tentacle had cost him a great deal of power, but he was still completely unharmed.
His monstrous face twisted in a wide grin. "What is it, witch! Out of juice already?"
Tsumi cursed as she grabbed her gown. "It's been quite some time since I last fought, forgive my sluggishness…"
From the bottom, right to her mid thigh, she ripped her night gown, allowing her freedom of movement.
"Oh? So now you've resorted to stripping? I'm sorry, but the time to appease me with a show is long gone." Orion cackled.
His monstrous face then hardened. "Well, time to die!"
A dozen tentacles charged forward like an unshakable storm. Sparks were erupting from the road as the countless spikes screeched over it, the tentacles curling like viscous serpents.
Tsumi stared at them indifferently as they approached, and then at the very last second, she moved.
Bang!
She slammed her hammer into the road, creating a small blast that flung her high up into the air.
"Still running?!" Orion screamed, raising his hand towards her. Following his will, the tentacles rose to the sky, charging right at Tsumi.
And in the air, she had nowhere to go…
But she never planned on escaping—
The war hammer's tip began to give off that same golden energy from earlier, but this time, it remained at its tip.
Still in the air, Tsumi swung with all her might, the hammer pushing her body into a vicious tumble, as she spun towards the approaching tide.
She was like a circular saw, only this time with a hammer head tip!
BOOOM!
There was a flash of light as energy poured out of her hammer, decimating the approaching tentacles all the way down.
"Impossible!" Orion screamed, already forming another set of tentacles.
But Tsumi wasn't done.
'I can't get too close because of those annoying tentacles…'
Dodging them at such a close range would only tire her out and leave her vulnerable.
'I guess 'that' is my only option.'
Tsumi smirked.
"Let's see how you handle this—"
She held her hammer by the tip of its handle, and then she tossed it right at him, the wind trembling as the weapon cut through the air…
