**Ne Job — Chapter 265
"Undefined Clearance Multiplies"**
Comedy–action divine workplace fantasy
Third-person limited (Ne Job)
1. Case File 0002 Is Already Angry
The printer screamed.
Not metaphorically.
Actually screamed.
Ne Job dove under his desk out of instinct.
"WHY IS IT SCREAMING."
Yue calmly unplugged the printer.
The printer continued screaming.
Qi-Yun squinted. "Ah. Wireless haunting."
The paper slid out anyway, edges smoking.
CASE FILE 0002 — THE EXCEPTION THAT FOLLOWS
Behavior: Persistent
Attachment: Yes
Consent: No
Ne Job peeked up.
"…Why does every bad thing come with a sequel."
The glowing seal on his badge pulsed once.
Then twice.
Ne Job felt it.
"Oh no."
2. Undefined Clearance Starts Spreading
A notification cascade exploded in midair.
SYSTEM ALERT:
Undefined Clearance Detected
Undefined Clearance Confirmed
Undefined Clearance REPLICATING???
Qi-Yun stiffened.
"That's… not possible."
Yue raised an eyebrow. "You sound like you want to lie to yourself."
Ne Job stared at his badge as faint threads of light extended outward—
touching desks, shelves, inactive files.
Each contact caused a hiccup in reality.
A stapler briefly achieved sentience.
Stapler: "I regret awareness."
Ne Job screamed. "MAKE IT STOP."
3. The Exception Speaks (Again)
A voice echoed directly behind Ne Job's eyes.
YOU SAID I COULD STAY.
"Yes," Ne Job whispered. "I did NOT say you could invite friends."
I DIDN'T. THEY FOLLOW ME.
Qi-Yun's eyes widened.
"Ne Job," he said slowly, "exceptions attract unresolved conditions."
Ne Job turned pale.
"You mean—"
"Yes."
"—all the things the system ignored—"
"Correct."
"—are now noticing me?"
Qi-Yun nodded.
Yue crossed her arms.
"Oh. You're a lighthouse now."
4. Oversight Notices Something Is Very Wrong
The ceiling split open.
Not dramatically.
Administratively.
A perfectly rectangular opening appeared, glowing white.
An Oversight Observer descended, faceless and immaculate.
"UNDEFINED CLEARANCE IS NOT A THING," it declared.
Ne Job pointed weakly at his badge.
"…It kind of is now?"
The Observer scanned him.
Paused.
Scanned again.
"ERROR. SUBJECT DOES NOT FIT PARAMETERS."
Ne Job shrugged.
"I get that a lot."
5. Undefined Clearance Multiplies (Literally)
The glowing threads snapped.
They copied.
Five new seals appeared in the air, hovering.
Each bore a different mark:
MISFILED
DEFERRED
POSTPONED
TEMPORARY
TO BE RESOLVED LATER
Yue whistled.
"That's… the entire divine avoidance strategy."
The Observer recoiled.
"THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE A FORM."
Ne Job stared at the seals.
"…Guys."
Qi-Yun closed his eyes.
"Yes?"
"They're lining up."
6. The Exceptions Choose Their Handler
One by one, the seals drifted toward Ne Job.
He backed up.
"No no no— wait— I didn't agree to this—"
YOU DID NOT REJECT IT.
They touched him.
The badge flared violently.
STATUS UPDATE:
HANDLER ROLE EXPANDING
CLEARANCE: UNDEFINED × 6
WARNING: STRUCTURAL LOGIC INSTABILITY
The office shook.
The Observer screamed.
"THIS IS HOW SYSTEM COLLAPSE BEGINS."
Ne Job clenched his fists.
"Then maybe," he said shakily,
"the system shouldn't have left so much unfinished."
Silence.
Even Oversight hesitated.
7. Qi-Yun Makes a Decision
Qi-Yun stepped forward.
"That's enough."
He snapped his fingers.
Time paused.
Only Ne Job and Qi-Yun could move.
Qi-Yun looked tired.
"You're becoming a convergence point," he said.
Ne Job swallowed.
"Is that bad?"
Qi-Yun smiled thinly.
"It's inconvenient."
"…That's worse."
Qi-Yun placed a hand on Ne Job's shoulder.
"From now on," he said,
"your training changes."
8. Training Upgrade (Against Everyone's Will)
Time resumed.
Qi-Yun turned to the Observer.
"This intern," he announced,
"is now under my direct protection."
Oversight froze.
"THAT AUTHORITY—"
Qi-Yun's eyes glowed.
"—is not yours to question."
The Observer retreated instantly, sealing the ceiling behind it.
The office stabilized.
The seals settled—
not into Ne Job's badge—
but into his shadow.
Ne Job looked down.
"…Why are they moving when I move."
Yue smiled slowly.
"Oh no."
Qi-Yun exhaled.
"You don't just handle exceptions anymore."
Ne Job looked up.
"…Then what am I?"
Qi-Yun answered quietly.
"You're where the system goes when it can't pretend anymore."
On Ne Job's desk, a third file printed itself.
CASE FILE 0003 — THE CONSEQUENCES
Ne Job screamed.
