"Aghh!"
The overwhelming force struck Yuto Ijika all over his body and sent him flying backward (Gojo deliberately control the barrier to send him backward since he is trying it out for the first time)
BOOM!
The ground trembled violently as Yuto carsed against it after which the barrier that was wrapped around him like an armor finally blasted like a bomb!
The shock wave swept across the Magano, scattering loose stones and broken branches in every direction.
Several dozen meters away, Hayasaka Ai instinctively raised an arm to shield her face but the shockwave that she was expecting didn't come.
Gojo had already created a wall of [Infinity] in front of them, as he focused on the blasted area.
The blast was stronger than he had expected, even though it was weaker then his [Hollow Purple] and [Reversal Red] it was still at an acceptable range for a technique that he had created at a fly.
He had created this technique mostly due to the fact that most of his attacks caused irresistible damage to the beautiful environment.
Buildings and bridge doesn't come cheap you know!
When the dust finally began to settle, Gojo Satoru slowly lowered his raised right hand.
His expression remained as relaxed as ever he graded the explosion B-, before turning his head behind.
Benio Adashino was still kneeling on the ground, tightly holding the crying little fox against her chest.
Her breathing was uneven due to the mental stress she had to experience, eyes were unfocused — her tears had already dried out, and her face was still pale from everything that had happened.
Gojo looked at her for a moment. He was hoping that she would atleast be able to attack and not freeze up in the similar manner as the manga — But it seem he was expecting too much from the poor girl, he adjusted his tone before speaking in a gentle voice.
"It's okay, Benio."
Benio slowly raised her head, showing her pale face with dried up tears line on her cheeks.
"I'm… fine, Gojo-sensei."
Her voice was quiet.
Her lips were slightly dry, and although she tried to sound composed, Gojo could tell that her emotions were still in turmoil.
He could understand that but still thought to let her tame care of it herself, Gojo sighed quietly in his heart.
It was his mistake—it was good that he was still watching over them with the six-eyes (I am sure the original one wouldn't have been able to do it but this one that he has is far far more powerful), it just took time to make up an excure to send Marin back.
He had expected something like this so he was prepared.
Step! Step! Step! Step!
While, Gojo was checking Benio's and Kinako's spiritual energy — footsteps sound from behind.
Seigen Amawaka had walked over after taking care of the "burden". (Ai and others— he had also taken care of the Human-turn-Kegare before coming here — he is not dead, just some of his limbs and half of his lower half is sliced by Seigen so it will take more time to regenerate than before.)
In one hand, he casually carried an unconscious Rokuro Enmadou.
Rokuro's body was completely limp.
Seigen had knocked him out after realizing that the boy had become too emotionally unstable to fight properly. He was debating over throwing him with the others but decided against it.
"Stupid brat," Seigen muttered. Then he looked toward Gojo. "You're late."
'As always', the last was said inwardly.
Gojo adjusted his blindfold slightly.
"I'm only a little late."
"A little?" Seigen glanced around at the destruction before giving him a frustrated look.
Gojo shrugged. "Something came up."
His casually tone of speaking even in this disaster frustrate the White Tiger to no end.
Seigen narrowed his eyes, trying hard to hide his frustration that was screaming on his face.
"You always have an excuse."
"That's because my excuses are usually legitimate."
This time too he wasn't lying, he did encounter some things.
But he can't just say that it was due to his own student pestering him about going on another cosplay event.
While, it may be fun to see what kind of beautiful expression Seigen would made — it wasn't appropriate in this situation so he left it at that.
"...Whatever."
Seigen stopped arguing, already knowing how useless that can be. His gaze shifted toward the distant rubble.
That was where Yuto Ijika had landed.
A brief silence settled over the battlefield.
Then Seigen spoke very seriously, "Let me handle this."
Gojo raised an eyebrow. "Hm?"
"I want to deal with my second disciple personally."
Even after what had happened?
Gojo wish to say that but didn't this time either as he shrugged in a carefree manner.
"Sure. Do whatever you want."
Seigen nodded.
However, before he could take another step, he remembered something. His gaze shifted toward the battlefield behind him.
"There's still one problem."
"..?" Gojo send him a questionable glanced.
"That Kegare."
Gojo followed his gaze.
Behind Seigen, the enormous figure of Ryogo Nagitsuji was slowly getting back to his feet. He was seriously study and with his regeneration he had even grown back the limbs and his whole lower half that Seigen had cut off.
The creature let out a low growl after finally getting his limbs back, his face represent the emotions he was feeling — Anger and hunger.
"Grrr…"
"Tsk!" Seigen's expression became slightly annoyed.
"You mean that?"
"Yes."
Gojo scratched his chin, before asking in an joyful tone. "You're asking whether I can restore him to his original human form?"
Seigen nodded, not showing any reaction to his manners.
"Can you?"
Gojo stared at Ryogo for a few seconds.
"I can try."
Seigen's eyes narrowed.
"You're not certain?"
"Not completely." Gojo's expression became more serious.
The [Reverse Cursed Technique] has already reached to a point where he can interfere and heal the souls somewhat in a similar manner as the body but he wasn't particularly sure if it would work due to him not using it in this manner. But, If Ryogo's soul is still intact beneath the corruption, there should be a chance to turn him into a human again....
There is also the forbidden technique — Furu no Koto (布瑠の言 - "Buru's Words" / "The Incantation of Furu"), which is exclusive to the Twin Star which can cleanse corrupted humans.
He had onces asked about it to Arima and also tried to do it himself to check if he can imitate the power only to realize that he can't....That too was a valuable experience form Gojo's perspective so he tried to improvise a little.
Seigen remained silent when he saw that Gojo was in his deep thought, his focus turn towards the place Yuto had landed or trapped since if he wasn't he would have already attacked until now.
It was a guess from Seigen.
Gojo turned toward Ryogo.
"Let's try the simpler method first."
Whoossh~~!
After saying that Gojo disappear, as he appear on top of the Kegare with his arm straighten before he place them on top of it's head.
"Ryogo Nagitsuji."
The corrupted man roared and tried to charged at Gojo who was standing on his head with his two massive hands fully intending to smash Gojo like a mosquito.
"ROOOOAR—!?"
The Kegare roar turn fierce to confused as he felt his arms touching something like a hard surface that he couldn't see. No matter how hard he tried he just couldn't make his arms move forward.
[Reverse Cursed Technique]
Gojo didn't tease the corrupted human as he used the [Reversed Cursed Technique], sending a wave of soft light over the corrupted figure.
Gojo had pulled down his blindfold, his beautiful blue eyes shining with unknown power as it record the reaction the soft light was having over the corrupted figure.
Most of the time whenever he used the healing technique he just send the wave of positive energy into someone body by touching them after which it simply cure them.
It was as simple as that (Making the Reverse Cursed Technique into a attack is a different matter), but he didn't do so this time since the target was the soul and not the body.
He was trying to find out the conscious part of the soul in the filthy mud, which also turning the mud into gas.
He had also used his Stagnant Cage to hold the screaming Kegare in place, he didn't want it to destroy the already destroyed surrounding even more.
"Ah.. Found it," Gojo grin as a send another group of violent positive energy on top of it, going straight to the frog size inact part filling it with energy before cleansing the filthy mud like dense energy that was around it.
Gojo got this little party trick from the all-famous — not more than me of course — Mahoraga. Because of his Sword of Extermination being coated with pure positive energy (I don't think it was made up of it), can instantly kill any cursed spirit. He hadn't really thought about it too much since cursed spirit where something that he could kill instantly.
But his thought change when he was again randomly kidnapped in this world. Due to most of the being here are related to negative energy, he thought of replicating it.
Of couse, it wasn't easy — since normal positive energy would have that much effect and pure positive energy was a concept that he didn't understand at first.
So he brute forced it by stacking positive energy atop of positive energy and repeated it endlessly inside a 25-sided dice-like crystal structure like cage that he made using Stagnant Cage.
Of course, with the Six-eyes, his massive cursed energy pool that can go toe to toe with some of the largest lake, or his control over his cursed energy and technique — it wouldn't be possible if any of this would be missing.
While, Gojo was reliving the "suffering" he had gone through to gain this — the monstrous appearance beneath his feet trembled.
The black corruption that was covering his human body started to crack little by little.
Crack… crack…
Seigen's eyes widened in amazed.
"It's working!"
He was just holding on to the mentality of giving it a try, but Gojo Satoru really succeeded?
Gojo didn't answer, as he send the positive energy to heal the human body beneath (it was very damage due to the fighting—just because it's inside doesn't mean it is safe every energy used for energy is taken by him, blood and parts too) and Pure Positive Energy to cleanse the negative energy.
While doing so his mind was in something else, what if he absorb the negative energy can he used it the same as the Cursed energy or will he be corrupted too?
Whie—! Whieee—! Whiee—!
The cracks spread.
Ryogo's monstrous form became unstable, lessen in quantity.
Then—
BOOM!
The outer layer shattered into countless dark fragments — The fragments soon dispersed itself like white smoke into the air.
A human body fell from right chest area of the Kegare, falling face-down against the ground. Gojo jump down and caught him by his neck like a little kitty before he could kiss the ground.
Gojo looked down at Ryogo with his eyes.
Only after seeing that their were no negative energy on his body or soul did he lowered him carefully to the ground and stop the flow of positive energy. He had already given hik enough to make him feel lime he had eatten five senzu beans.
Gojo glanced toward the distant rubble, feeling the cage that he had placed on Yuto had dispersed too.
Stagnant Cage had an annoying con to it that je need to touch the party again to send another charge of cursed energy.
And due to Yuto trying to break the barrier, it was only enough to last 15 minutes. (Yep, this all had happened in 15 minutes).
Gojo really wish to complain to Seigen about how irresponsible can he be.
Sigh...
....
Far away (like 2 or 2.6 km),
A figure was finally freed from the cursed armor.
Yuto Ijika wiped the blood from corner of his mouth, his clothing was torn, and the corruption surrounding his body had weakened considerably. He had to used everything he had only to block Gojo's technique — even with the physical damge it has also caused major internal damage, he could literally feel his blood spilling put of his internal nerve and organ. He was forcing it down with the Kegare (Impurity) power.
He looked toward Gojo direction.
"As expected of the strongest Onmyoji…" Yuto murmured, his voice calm but his expression said a whole different story. "I couldn't even withstand one attack of his."
He clenched his left hand tightly.
The power of the Impurity flowed through his body, repairing the damage.
Yuto had understood something important.
Gojo Satoru was overwhelmingly stronger than him.
There was no point in fighting him directly.
Not yet.
Yuto slowly stood.
"So that's why…" His eyes shifted toward Benio who was staring at Gojo, "You didn't finish me."
His expression changed into a faint smile.
"You want that waste to deal with me personally."
He laughed quietly.
"Interesting."
Yuto turned around.
He was about to leave.
But then—
A sharp white-blue slash tore through the air.
Yuto's expression changed.
He immediately jumped sideways.
The slash passed through the stone behind him.
SLICEEE!
The rock split apart.
Yuto looked toward the attacker.
Seigen Amawaka stood in the distance.
His expression was cold.
"Tch."
Yuto clicked his tongue.
"Master Seigen…"
Seigen's eyes narrowed. "So you really turned yourself into something like this."
Yuto smiled without any irregularity in his expression.
"Turned myself into something?"
He shook his head like he was explaining something very basic to his incompetent teacher.
"No, no." He raised one finger.
"You don't understand. I am simply gathering Yin and Yang, you all are too old and ignorant to understand this."
